Here's a truly excellent interview with William Pepper on the John Barbour show, who tries his damnedest to talk more than Pepper.  Nevertheless, a super-informative talk about the JFK and Martin Luther King killings, and much more.

One very interesting insight.  Yankee Doodle has always wondered why, if Lyndon Johnson wanted to be President so damned bad that he would participate in killing Kennedy, only to decide, in 1968, that he wouldn't run for re-election.

Of course, there were anti-war demonstrations all across the country, but Pepper gives another explanation: he says Johnson made his decision to quit the Presidency four days before Martin Luther King was killed, suggesting that he knew about the killing - Johnson was best buddy with J. Edgar Hoover - and was somehow disassociating himself from the killing.  Hmm....don't know, but possible.

Yankeedoodle forgot to mention the most delicate fact of all,
and that is LBJ ordering a total standdown for attempts to
rescue the USS Liberty.

So right, Robert.  Today being, of course, the 49th anniversary of attack on the Liberty, and Johnson's treachery.
