Title: Ok I just got a "major emergency booklet" in my door?
Post by: Maragenie on April 27, 2008, 12:49:54 AM
Yesterday I went out to check the post and discovered this "Preparing for a major emergency" booklet. The book is a nice size and has a glossy cover so it's build to last.

Here's the contents.

Flooding
Hazardous and chemical spills
Accidents at sea
Explosions and suspicious packages
Nuclear incidents
Pandemic influenza
Animal diseases
Fire

Ok taking into account I'm from little auld Eire, wft is that all about? I can't ever remember getting this kind of thing sent to me before and every house in the country is getting issued one.

I don't like it.

Its just like John aka WW3News was saying about the government trying to get you to think they want to help you by seemingly wanting to teach you to know how to survive so you remain a gullible servant to he state.  Don't like it indeed!

It's just like they're rounding up a load of sheep.

On the radio, they said in case of a Nuclear ......

It's built to spend as much of the taxpayers' money as possible and filled with as much 'stating the obvious' as it can hold.

I'm also from Ireland, and have received one of these booklets some weeks ago. I don't know what to make of it. It could be just Bertie's boys giving a nice fancy printing contract to one of their cronies, or it could be something more sinister. Who knows?

I hear the ads for this about 10 times a day on the radio at work as well, they're really pushing it down people's throats, just like the
