Co-founded by Altman and Alex Blania in 2019, Worldcoin has an ambitious vision: to give a share of a new digital token to every human being on Earth.

Meanwhile Mr Altman has been scaring the good folks in Washington DC with scary talk of what unregulated AI (Artificial Intelligence) can do to humanity

As of March 2023 Worldcoin has already biometrically registered more than 1.36 million individuals at the time of writing with paid 'operators' taking around 250 custom-built, iris-scanning Orbs into communities around the world. The aim would be to grow this fleet to as many as 50,000 scanning devices at peak registration.Individuals registering are promised that 25 Worldcoins will be transferred to an account when the cryptocurrency launches later in the year, a date which seems to keep shifting.

Worldcoin has invented a device known as an orb through which users get their eyes scanned.

According to CNBC,  the image is then encrypted and transformed into a unique code. The original data is then wiped after which users get some Worldcoin crypto.

The company previously raised money from famed Silicon Valley investors and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman as well as  Khosla Ventures and Sam Bankman-Fried, the disgraced founder of the bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX.

On 7 February 2012 the UIDAI launched an online verification system for Aadhaar numbers. Using the system, banks, telecom companies and government departments could enter an Aadhaar number and verify if the person was a resident of India.

According to the Foreign Policy (FP) publication, at least France, Germany and Great Britain have launched investigations into the ambiguities of Worldcoin's data collection. In Kenya, on the other hand, the government concretely prevented the Jewish company from continuing to collect new users' data: the Nairobi police recently raided Worldcoin's warehouses and confiscated the company's equipment and documents.

Katitza Rodriguez, head of international privacy protection at the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), commented to FP that people are "for a reason" afraid of Worldcoin's rapid spread. According to Rodriguez, the Jewish company seeks to bribe new users with monetary benefits in order to get them to waive critical privacy issues.

The EFF is unconvinced by Worldcoin's claim that biometric identifiers are increasingly needed online because deepfake technology created with artificial intelligence makes it possible to forge human identities even more efficiently. The EFF has pointed out that the Jewish Altman himself is at the forefront of artificial intelligence and deepfake technology through his ChatGPT software. The same Jew is thus fueling the technological risk through ChatGPT, which he claims to combat by collecting all people's information through his Worldcoin spy currency.

"The fact that largely the same people who are behind the artificial intelligence explosion are now telling us that they are also the solution to the problems created by artificial intelligence is very suspicious," EFF summarized his view in an interview with FP.
