Tough choice: Buy an Israeli server for anti-Zionism?
As many of you have noticed, the Umunu server suffered hardware failure and I need to purchase a new fanless server. I currently am unemployed and looking for the absolutely cheapest computer possible with enough power. Unfortunately, the only one that fits my needs and price range is an nettop developed by Israelis based in Israel and sold from Israel.
I actively support the boycott, and the only choice that seems available to me is to:
1. Not purchase it and support other sites.
2. Buy it and have my own net-presence.
What should I do?
Thanks.

What was the failure on the original server? Is it not repairable? I wouldn't buy anything made in Israel, not only for boycott reasons, but also because I just wouldn't trust it.

Electrical shortage and totally fried, I've treated it pretty rough by yanking out the cord and haphazardly moved the power switch way too slow. The motherboard is one of those VIA EPIA PCB specialty kinds (eBOX-3851).

What is the price difference between the Izzy model and the equivalent eBox?

I obviously don't want to encourage others to purchase the nettop, so I won't publicly name it here:
Izzy on EBay = 167 + free shipping = $167
WDL eBox-4861 (eBox-3851 no longer sold) = 350 + ~60 = $410
Don't buy Israeli
Non-question, no?
Shit, it's impossible to buy an Israeli-free computer. Intel chips are developed in Haifa (Intel's Israel lab saved their bacon with Core) and controller chips are designed there as well.

There's always AMD!

I'm temporarily using a regular NOISY pc now and have just set up a Digg-type site that you'd might be very interested in for the next version of WUFYS:

I have already installed a vote-up, vote-down module in the Drupal installation for WUFYS that does the same thing. By the way, be careful with your use of the word Digg. You may be infringing a trademark and could attract expensive and unwanted attention.
