You want Iodine and Selenium in one tablet? Buy it from here!

This is in regards to the article "INTERACTIONS BETWEEN SELENIUM AND IODINE" http://www.greenwillowtree.com/Page.bok ... odine.html

http://shop.vegansociety.com/product_in ... cts_id=239

The supplement comes in bottles of 90 tablets which is a three month supply for adults.

§N9sh2bj

The VEG 1 contains only the KI form of iodine; this is a repeating issue as we have been having looking for a (cheap) replacement for publicly-banned Lugol's on north america. The salt-water reef iodine solutions, while available up to 5 liters, also appear after investigation (as there is almost no labelling information, even on the manufacturer's websites) to contain only KI. KI, a dry salt, can be picked up 'on the open market' (legally, within USA jurisdiction) for about 70USD per pound, as the easiest way we have found to get the 'I', unless you are on a european-zone country.. 'I're-I

Convert KI to I2:
(Joe did say it was easy... Thanks joe for the encouragement.)
http://www.sci-spot.com/Chemistry/iodine.htm
Make I2 (free iodine) from SSKI solution, and then by putting the crystals in H2O - I2 and KI in water, H20 85, I2 5, KI 10 = real Lugol's.
DEA agents may not like you after that; what can you do? Claim everything is for 'private research'.

We continue to do tests, which have beneficial results, with some limited and predictable Herxheimer reactions from those that jump straight in with a high dose, after heavy, prolonged halide poisoning. While the straight KI is very strong and bitter-tasting, and the potassium definitely helps energy levels - when KI and I2 are mixed and at low concentration (Lugol's), a dose is easier to get down directly from an eye-dropper full (~10% concentration vs. 60%).

Contact this account if you want booklets for lay folks and doctors, which can easily be printed with Adobe Acrobat (not sure about Reader-only) on a single-sided printer, and included with a small bottle of Lugol's.

Lugol's - liquid (europe), or Iodoral - tablets (amazon.com), removes halides: bromide used in 'modern' baking industry, and fluoride: rat poison.
Iodine also gets the thyroid working from a dormant/nearly dormant state, gets hormones corrected, clears the head of fogginess, improves immune systems, removes depression symptoms, improves/sustains energy levels, helps sleep; there's many more corrections listed on the pages of the booklet and in the book 'Iodine - Secrets from the Sea'. TiU user 'Sullivan' cited Hashimoto's before, (seems to arise from dormancy of the thyroid and it's later rejection, kinda like an appendicitis), as a concern. The concern was responded to on an earlier thread. Anyone knowing someone with emotional issues, psychological issues, especially those who have been on pharmaceuticals, (or if you feel you might need to go on them!) it is strongly advised to try the Lugols/Iodoral out. Many psycho-pharmaceuticals contain lots of fluoride!

Generally, on europe fluoride is not added to the water (Ireland and the UK are clear exceptions with high fluoridation), and Lugol's is widely available less than 20€ per liter (~quart), enough for one man doing ~10 drops a day (about 5x the minimum dose) for months (actually 2,000 days), at a cost of less than 0.02€ per day.

Generally on the several States, fluoride is widely added to the water, and Lugol's in any appreciable quantity has been banned within U.S. Federal jurisdiction since 2007. Guess people were figuring out it reversed systemic halide build-up.

Iodoral tablets are available through Amazon.com, although they expensive at about 0.18 cents a tablet (USD), equivalent to 2 drops of Lugol's.

A concern about pre-packaged supplements, is the doses have too low a concentration of KI to make any difference (typical 'daily dose' supplements provide 0.150mg, much lower than the japanese and Iodoral standard of 13mg). These pre-packaged supplements, except for Iodoral to my knowledge, do not have any free elemental iodine, and lastly the cost ratio is far too high compared with standard Lugol's. MERCK agents designed and made a fancy box, where the KI tablets cost about 1,000 x more than bulk.  Iodoral tablets do better job of addressing cost/benefit ration. I'm convinced the cheapest way when stuck with no Lugol's or inexpensive I2 sources, is bulk KI then convert it yourself.

For people who can only operate within USA jurisdiction, something to consider about making I2 instead of buying it: Crystals are sold privately, outside of USA jurisdiction on north america, go for about 50USD per ounce, or 1.25EUR per gram; whereas pharmacies on europe, we assume a barometer for a realistic price, sell one kilo of crystals for 150EUR, or 0.15EUR per gram. That's some crazy mark-up!
moved on.
the author does not adopt jewish \'race theory\' or \'darwinism\'.
and believes \'jewish culture\' is mostly one of supporting their organized crime syndicates, with a enough veneer and an organized system of destroying and reshaping other cultures, to obfuscate the truth to most people.

One of the biggies with a vegan diet is a lack of obvious Vitamin B12 in it. You can get it if you are meticulous enough with your fortified cereals/milks and so on, but I am not. I know how much soya milk I would have to get through to get my B12 and I personally couldn't get through it reliably. So I took advice from the Vegan Society's website about nutrition , particularly B12, and found it to be very clear and sensible.

I also read up on calcium (something I take anyway – but need to find a vegan alternative to the supplements I have), vitamin D and iodine. Iodine I was aware of needing to be careful with, largely because my thyroid is a bit dodgy and the doctor had recommended taking iodine. Vitamin D though made me think. I don't do sunlight. It burns, gives me migraines and makes me throw up. Especially the last few years. So I reckon my vitamin D levels (especially living somewhere so dark half the year ;) ) probably needs the support.

Happily the vegan society produce Veg 1 (buy it here), a supplement for Vegans (and others) that provides supplementation for all these vitamins and minerals (except calcium and EFA, so these will need to be sourced).

Pros:

    * Three months supply for less than a fiver.
    * Cheap shipping.
    * Quick delivery.
    * Contains vitamin B12 in large amounts.
    * Contains vitamin D (not from animals like it normally is).
    * Contains Iodine in sensible amounts.

Cons:

    * Smells bad. Really offputting in the pack. Individually though the tablets don't taste too awful
    * Tastes rather evil – it's supposed to be blackcurrant but it's really just ick! This is especially bad as it is a chewable tablet and really you should hold it in the mouth until it is all dissolved to get optimun uptake of vitamin B12.

Despite the taste, I will definately carry on taking this. It's an easy, inexpensive solution and I am certain it will be beneficial to my health. I do rather hope I grow to accept the taste though!

I also found this variant. It's almost completely natural but not quite from what I can tell. It does contain equal amounts of selenium and iodine and the price was right, in fact they had just reduced the price that day. It's $11.99 at a place called Natural Grocers which is affiliated with a place called Vitamin Cottage.

It appears to be widely available. 90 tablets per bottle, 3 a day.

Here are the stats:

Alive Multivitamin Overview

Nature's Way Alive! Multivitamin is a hot product right now, and gaining new customers every day. And that's not easy to do in the super-saturated multivitamin market. This is in part due to a growing preference for more whole-food based and "natural" multivitamin supplements.

The popularity of Alive! is also due to the fact that it's a great multivitamin. And the closer you read the label, the better it looks. You get a full gram (1000 mg) of vitamin C, natural-form vitamin E, robust potencies of B vitamins and highly-absorbable amino acid-chelated minerals. Nature's Way has also somehow built-in 500 mg of a Spirulina Greens Blend, 200 mg of real fruit and vegetable extracts plus 100 mg of tonic mushroom extracts.

Alive! tablets are specially-formulated for ultra-fast breakdown in the digestive tract. In comparison tests with other whole food multis, Alive! tablets were the fastest, and only ones to completely disintegrate in under 20 minutes. Other brands took up to 5 times longer. If you're looking for a great whole-food multi that doesn't skimp on ingredients or potencies, you simply can't go wrong with Alive!. Available with or without iron, which most men and postmenopausal women don't need to supplement.

Alive Multivitamin Description from NATURE'S WAY
Alive! is a Mega Nutrient Whole Food Energizer containing more life-giving nutrients from more sources than any other supplement. Contains: Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids, EFA's, Fruits, Vegetables, Green Foods, Myco Nutrients, Antioxidants and other specialty nutrients.
