Ted Nugent Befouled Himself to Avoid Vietnam Draft

Richard Roeper:

Nugent stopped all forms of personal hygiene for a month and showed up for his draft board physical in pants caked with his own urine and feces, winning a deferment.
So Ted Nugent roams a concert stage while toting automatic weapons, calls Barack Obama "a piece of —–" and says he told Obama to suck on one of his machine-guns. He also calls Hillary Clinton a "worthless bitch" and Dianne Feinstein a "worthless whore."
That Nugent, he's a man's man. He talks the talk and walks the walk, right?
Except when it was time to register for the draft during the Vietnam era. By his own admission, Nugent stopped all forms of personal hygiene for a month and showed up for his draft board physical in pants caked with his own urine and feces, winning a deferment. Creative!
Ah, but that was a long time ago. Nugent isn't just a washed-up rocker — he's a right-wing madman who's not afraid to call out some of the leading Democrats in language so vile it makes the Dixie Chick Natalie Maines' comments about President Bush sound like a love poem.
You'd think even someone such as Sean Hannity would dismiss Nugent as a macho clown, desperate for attention.
Yeah, right.
In a discussion on his show last week, Hannity refused to condemn Nugent's remarks, saying, "I like Ted Nugent . . . he's a friend of mine," and even laughing loudly as Alan Colmes read the transcript of some of Nugent's remarks.
Funny. I don't remember Hannity being so cavalier about the Dixie Chicks went they criticized Bush.
Not that he's operating under a double standard or anything.

Why do Alex, Glenn Beck, Hannity have this loudmouth draft-dodging xenophobe over-the-hill redneck rocker on all the time but won't touch the 100 times more mild and rational David Duke with a ten foot pole?

Well, do I have to spell it out for you?

Here's one of Ted's ADL-award-winning essays:

Israel's Path To Peace
by Ted Nugent

01/06/2009

:

"There comes a point when violence is clearly the only answer. Peace most often throughout history is achieved through the application of relentless and superior firepower. Now is such a time for Israel.

Israel must defeat utterly the rabid, voodoo vermin known as Hamas. After launching more than three thousand rockets and mortars into Israel within the last year, Israel has every right and obligation to destroy Hamas. No nation can be expected to tolerate such a bombardment.

Cease-fires and negotiations never last with terrorist scumpunks because evil, hateful terrorists do not want to live in peace: they worship violence and don't see their opponents -- be it us or the Israelis -- as human beings. Hamas, Hizballah and other soulless people such as Iran's Ahmadinijad apply vicious religious voodoo logic by believing killing non-Muslims, especially Jews, pleases Allah. Never forget these voodoo killers have vowed the complete destruction of Israel.

The world should know that Hamas started this latest round of violence by launching missiles into Israel. A December 29 article in the New York Times reported that Hamas has fired over 10,000 rockets and mortars into Israel since 2001. Failing to destroy Hamas today will only embolden these cockroaches to launch even more rockets and mortars at Israel tomorrow.

Let us be honest: mankind will be much better off when Israel destroys Hamas' strongholds in Gaza and captures or kills all of the Hamas militants and those who support them. Like all cockroaches, the only good terrorist is a dead one.

Total warfare is the answer if Israel is committed to protecting its people and breaking the back of the Hamas terrorists and the network that supports them. Not the kind of Donald Rumsfeld "Shock & Awe-shucks" selective warfare, but rather the General Sherman "scorched earth" military policies that broke the back of the Confederacy during our Civil War.

Israel shouldn't stop its offensive until the Hamas terrorists are dead and those who support terrorism accept the fact that they've been defeated. Wipe them out. That would send a powerful message to other terrorist scumpunks, voodoo regimes, despots and tyrants; "Don't tread on me."

By intentionally sacrificing much of Gaza and as many of their voodoo stooges as possible, Hamas is hoping to unite the Arab world against Israel and start another all-out war. Not surprisingly, terrorist leaders from Iran and Hizballah support Hamas. Punks of a terrorist feather flock together and should be shot down like the toxic crows that they are.

As I write this, Israel has so far turned a deaf ear to international pressure from the white-flag-waving French to suspend their air assault on Hamas. Good. Listening to the French is rarely a good idea. And they've done just what they should by sending ground forces in to root out the Hamas networks, seize or destroy their arsenal of missiles and defeat them decisively.

One of the biggest problems Israel and America face is the fact that Hamas and other terrorist groups find safe havens among the terrorist nations. Khaled Meshaal, the head of Hamas, isn't sticking his scrawny neck out in Gaza. He lives in comfort and safety in Damascus, Syria. Which means Israel can't win in Gaza without going into Syria and taking out the terrorist networks there. Hamas isn't alone in Syria: the biggest and most dangerous terrorist organization -- the Iranian-backed Hizballah -- is there, too.

In truth, Israel can't win in Gaza: but it can win in Syria and Iran.

Peace remains the ultimate objective in the Middle East, but rabid dogs such as the militants who compose Hamas, Hezbollah and dangerous regimes such as Iran can not, must not be tolerated by civilized nations and and true peace-loving people. These voodoo-inspired terrorists must have no seat at the peace table because they do not respect peace.

Peace can sometimes only be achieved through superior firepower. The civilized world must completely support Israel in their efforts to exterminate Hamas and end its operations for good and all. What say you, Mr. President-elect? Whose side are you on?"

Red-Blooded, Meat-Eating 2nd amendment advocates Nugent and Alex 'Arabs-Own-Hollywood' Jones also amazingly never seem to have ever stumbled upon any of the following Jews who wrote, inroduced, sponsored or co-sponsored every single piece of  Gun Control Legislation from 1968 to 2005:

U.S. Federal Gun Control Legislation, 1968 thru only 2005

You can rest assured that the usual suspects are behind all the gun control legislation we here about quite regularly since 2005. Gun control is at a fever pitch in recent years.

All Federal gun control legislation in the United States has been written, introduced, and sponsored or co-sponsored by jew Congressmen and jew Senators, or as that neocon asshole Rush would spell it JOOOOOOS. That's because he's their special lapdog.

Emanuel Celler, Democratic Representative from New York(1923 - 1973)

Howard Metzenbaum, Democratic Senator from Ohio(1974, 1976 - 1995)

Herb Kohl, Democratic Senator from Wisconsin(1989 - present)

Chuck Schumer, Democratic Senator from New York(1999 - present), Democratic Represenative from New York(1981-1999)

Dianne Feinstein, Democratic Senator from California(1992 - present)

Arlen Specter, Republican Senator from Pennsylvania(1981 - present)

Frank Lautenberg, Democratic Senator from New Jersey(1982 - 2001, 2003 - present)

Barbara Boxer, Democratic Senator from California(1993 - present), Democratic Representative from California(1983 - 1993)

Carl Levin, Democratic Senator from Michigan(1979 - present)

1968: The Gun Control Act of 1968 comes from Representative Emanuel Celler's House bill H.R. 17735. It expands legislation already attempted by the non-Jewish Sen. Thomas Dodd. America's biggest and most far-reaching gun law came from a Jew.

1988: Senate bill S. 1523 is sponsored by Senator Howard Metzenbaum. It proposes legislation turning every violation of the Gun Control Act of 1968 into a RICO predicate offense, allowing a gun owner to be charged with federal racketeering offenses.

1988: Senator Metzenbaum co-sponsors a bill — S. 2180 — to ban, or limit/restrict, so-called "plastic guns."

1990: Senator Herbert Kohl introduces bill S.2070, the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990, which bans gun possession in a school zone. The law will later be struck down in court as unconstitutional.

1993: Senate bill S.653 is sponsored by Senator Howard Metzenbaum. It bans specific semiautomatic rifles, but also gives the Secretary of the Treasury the power to add any semiautomatic firearm to the list at a later date.

February, 1994: The Brady Law, which requires waiting periods to buy handguns, becomes effective. Senator Metzenbaum wrote the Brady Bill. Metzenbaum sponsored the bill in the Senate. The sponsor of the bill in the House was Rep. Charles Schumer.

1994: Senator Metzenbaum introduces S.1878, the Gun Violence Prevention Act of 1994, aka "Brady II." Representative Schumer sponsored "Brady II" sister legislation [H.R. 1321] in the U.S. House of Representatives.

September, 1994: The Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 goes into effect, including a provision that bans the manufacture and possession of semiautomatic rifles described as "assault weapons." [Note: true assault weapons are fully automatic, not semiautomatic]. That gun-ban provision was authored in the Senate by Senator Dianne Feinstein and authored in the House by Congressman Schumer.

1995: Senators Kohl, Specter, Feinstein, Lautenberg and others introduce the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1995, an amended version of the 1990 school-zone law which was struck down in court as being unconstitutional.

September, 1996: The Lautenberg Domestic Confiscation provision becomes law. It is part of a larger omnibus appropriations bill. It was sponsored by Senator Frank Lautenberg. It bans people convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence from ever owning a gun.

1997: Senate bill S. 54, the Federal Gang Violence Act of 1997, proposes much harsher sentences for people violating minor gun laws, including mandatory prison sentences and forfeiture of property. It was introduced by Senator Dianne Feinstein and Senator Hatch, among others. It returns the idea of turning every violation of the Gun Control Act of 1968 into a RICO predicate offense.

January, 1999: Senator Barbara Boxer introduces bill S.193, the American Handgun Standards Act of 1999.

January, 1999: Senator Kohl introduces bill S.149, the Child Safety Lock Act of 1999. It would require a child safety lock in connection with transfer of a handgun.

February,1999: Senator Frank Lautenberg introduces bill S.407, the Stop Gun Trafficking Act of 1999.

February, 1999: Senator Lautenberg introduces S.443, the Gun Show Accountability Act of 1999.

March, 1999: Senator Lautenberg introduces bill S.560, the Gun Industry Accountability Act of 1999.

March, 1999: Senator Feinstein introduces bill S.594, the Large Capacity Ammunition Magazine Import Ban Act of 1999.

May, 2000: Senate bill S. 2515, Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2000, is submitted by Senators Feinstein, Boxer, Lautenberg, and Schumer. It is a plan for a national firearms licensing system.

January, 2001: Senate bill S.25, Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2001, is sponsored by Senators Feinstein, Schumer, and Boxer. It is a nation-wide gun registration plan [apparently there were two versions of that Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act bill].

May, 2003: Senators Feinstein, Schumer, Boxer and others introduce legislation that would reauthorize the 1994 federal assault weapons ban, and, close a loophole in the law that allows large-capacity ammunition magazines to be imported into the U.S. The ban expired in September, 2004.

October, 2003: Senators Feinstein, Lautenberg, Levin, and Schumer co-sponsor bill S.1774, designed to stop the sunset [ending] of the Undetectable Firearms Act of 1988.

March, 2005: Senator Lautenberg introduces bill S.645, "to reinstate the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act," in other words, to reinstate the 1994 assault-rifle ban [also known as the "Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994"] which expired in late 2004.

March, 2005: Senator Feinstein introduces bill S.620, "to reinstate the Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act," in other words, to reinstate the 1994 assault-rifle ban [also known as the "Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994"] which expired in late 2004.

July, 2005: Senator Feinstein introduces bill SA1621 - Fifty-Caliber Sniper Weapons. This amendment would convert all .50 BMG firearms to NFA weapons.

July, 2005: Senator Feinstein introduces bill SA1622 - Fifty-Caliber Exclusion to S.397. This amendment would modify SB397 to allow suits when the firearm involved was a .50 caliber weapon.

July, 2005: Senator Boxer introduces bill SA1633 - BATFE Safety Standards SA1633 - BATFE Safety Standards. This amendment allows law suits to continue/be brought if the product did not meet the safety standards as defined by the BATFE.

July, 2005: Senator Boxer introduces bill SA1634 - 'Sporting Use' on Domestic Handguns. Applying 'sporting use' clause requirements to domestic handguns could, almost completely, dry up the handgun availability in the United States.

Also Mr. Anti-Drug Clean-&-Sober Hippie-hating but Hippie-looking over-the-hill Redneck Rocker had no problem singing drug songs and putting drug-paraphernalia on his ex-group the Amboy Dukes'  album cover back in the late '60s when it served to put money in his hypocritical redneck pocket:

Occasionally, I make tongue-in-cheek references to the "dirty hippies." I actually picked up the reference from Digby, who uses the phrase, as I do, to refer to the almost pathological obsession rightwingers have for the sixties counterculture. Despite the fact that no one has seen a "dirty hippie" in a good 30 years, the rightwing noise machine is still shocked and horrified that anyone could possibly "drop out" of the capitalist rat race. Make no mistake, whatever else wingnuts mean by "freedom," the freedom to "drop out" is not part of the definition.

So anyway, there I am, perusing the latest offerings on the Wall Street Journal editorial page -- which is the best place to monitor what the corporate ruling class is thinking -- and what do I see but an article about "dirty, stinky hippies." That's a direct quote. And of course, the article includes the usual crap about how simply awful those dreadful people were.

Forty years ago hordes of stoned, dirty, stinky hippies converged on San Francisco to "turn on, tune in, and drop out," which was the calling card of LSD proponent Timothy Leary. Turned off by the work ethic and productive American Dream values of their parents, hippies instead opted for a cowardly, irresponsible lifestyle of random sex, life-destroying drugs and mostly soulless rock music that flourished in San Francisco.
But wait, guess who wrote this article? How about this guy.

That's a picture of Ted Nugent. I don't know about you, but I would put that picture in the encyclopedia beside entry on "dirty, stinky hippies" so younger people who have never seen one would know what they looked like. Oh, did I mention, the "dirty, stinky hippie" looking fellow in that photograph is the author of the above quoted right wing drivel -- published on the rather prestigious pages of the Wall Street Journal.

Here's where it gets good. This is how Mr. Nugent describes his youthful days as a rock and roll guitarist.

I literally had to step over stoned, drooling fans, band mates, concert promoters and staff to pursue my musical American Dream throughout the 1960s and 1970s. I flushed more dope and cocaine down backstage toilets than I care to remember. In utter frustration I was even forced to punch my way through violent dopers on occasion. So much for peace and love. The DEA should make me an honorary officer.

I was forced to fire band members and business associates due to mindless, dangerous, illegal drug use. Clean and sober for 59 years, I am still rocking my brains out and approaching my 6,000th concert. Clean and sober is the real party.

Now, I don't want anyone to misunderstand. If some 59 year old rock musician wants to own up to some youthful substance abuse -- having since, sobered up and grown up -- I'm not going to jump his shit over what he did forty years ago. No less a bete noir of the "counter-culture" than Alice Cooper had to sober up in the early '80's -- a fact he has publically admitted. But "the Nuge" hasn't simply sobered up and grown up, becoming more conservative as you inevitably do as you get older. Ted Nugent has turned into a certified wingnut, complete with that characteristic that virtually every wingnut you care to name exhibits. He is a mendacious hypocrite. You see, he doesn't say "I used to do that shit, until I finally sobered up." He says he NEVER did any of it.

Really. Well, in that case, maybe a trip to google will shed some light on "the Nuge." Here's a piece of the lyrics to a song you may have heard a time or two, since it is still played fairly regularly on the classic rock radio stations.

Leave your cares behind
Come with us and find
The pleasures of a journey to the center of the mind
Chorus:
Come along if you care
Come along if you dare
Take a ride to the land inside of your mind
I have to tell you, until two days ago I had heard that song hundreds of times, and never knew who recorded it, or even its title. It's called "Journey To The Center Of The Mind," and it was recorded by the Amboy Dukes in 1968. Their lead guitarist was Ted Nugent. Take a look at the album cover.

What you are looking at is a really impressive collection of marihuana paraphernalia. Right in the middle of all those hash pipes and such is the title of the album -- coincidentally also the title of the song you've probably heard a zillion times. Personally, I'm satisfied beyond any reasonable doubt that this "journey to the center of the mind" is induced by ingesting marihuana smoke, if not other stronger psychotropic substances.
Which makes Ted Nugent a liar -- anyway you slice it. The most obvious inference is that the only drugs Ted Nugent ever "flushed down the toilet" were the one's he first passed through his liver and kidneys. Indeed, since he claims to have been "clean and sober" for his ENTIRE 59 years, one is now entitled to wonder whether he's been clean and sober for the past 59 minutes. But I've decided that where Ted Nugent is concerned, I'm going to do something really nasty. I'm going to take him at his word, because it turns out that taking him at his word makes him even worse.

That's right folks, Ted Nugent never touched the stuff. He just produced an album with a fair suggestion that he did. It was a lie. He wasn't a drug using "stinky hippie," he just posed as one. Why, he was the long lost twin of Pat Boone, who, unlike Mr. Boone, decided to market his talent to a demographic group he secretly held in contempt. Not only did he participate in a counter-culture he actually dispised, he was a leader of that counter-culture. He wasn't one of the "dirty, stinky hippies" who attended rock concerts, he was one of the acts the "dirty, stinky hippies" were coming to see. He wasn't "following the crowd," he was deliberately drawing the crowd. He was actively promoting the counter-culture, including specifically promoting the illegal drug use that he says so disgusted him. Which makes him one mendacious son of a bitch.

As for his appearance on the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal, well that makes perfect sense. You see, since he loathed and despised those "dirty, stinky hippies" he was performing in front of, there can only be one reason he sullied his clean and sober purity. That reason would be money. As we all know, when it comes to making money, there is no morality. This man wasn't merely watching, he was actually leading these supposedly misguided youths away from "the work ethic and productive American Dream values of their parents." In typical wingnut style, he leaves his market wallowing in ignorance and self-indulgent sloth, while liberating them from their cash. How's that for pursuing his "musical American dream?"

But wait, we're not through. It seems there is yet another layer of hypocrisy in all of this. Way back in the 1970's, Nugent signed with Epic Records, right after working with Frank Zappa's DiscReet records. Zappa -- a favorite among those "dirty, stinky hippies" -- also interestingly plays a role in the career of Alice Cooper, who made millions scandalizing the middle class in the early '70's. In that case, Alice Cooper produced his first two albums on Zappa's Straight Records label. Straight Records was subsequently bought by Warner -- today known as the Warner Music Group. Nugent's label, Epic, is owned by Sony - BMG. That's right, Nugent isn't the only Wall Street Journal reader/writer profiting from the counter-culture of the "dirty, stinky hippies." They continue to derive revenue from the counter-culture music of that era to this day.
It's the dirty little secret of the wingnut "culture wars." For all their braying about the "dirty, stinky hippies," who have "turned their backs on the work ethic and American dream values," corporate elites have invested their precious capital in promoting that culture -- and derived handsome profits for their trouble. They then turn around and blame the "liberals" and their "permissiveness" and "license," washing their own hands of their investment decisions. They are literally braying about the "culture" all the way to the bank.

As for the bourgeois values Ted Nugent and the Wall Street Journal promote, the dirty hippies understood something about those values. Bourgeois morality is not now, nor was it ever, about treating other human beings with respect, dignity, or compassion. Bourgeois morality is a weapon, a tool for dominating other human beings, in order to exploit them for all their worth. Ted Nugent's career -- by his own admission -- is indeed a monument to those "values."

Ted Nugent Hunts, Kills Bono

http://www.dailyprobe.com/arcs/061102/index.shtml

pretty funny !!   Now I can't figure out which one is the bigger douchebag!    Hey, Bono might be a JWO whore but at least Bono never advocated a 'scorched earth' policy for cockaroaches as a 'road to peace' for humanity and brown-nosed Israel to the shit-faced extent of AJ"s psychotic buddy there.
