Israel: worst water crisis in 80 years

The water situation in Israel is at its worst in 80 years, the head of the country's water authority said this week.

Uri Shani, the director of the Israel Water Authority, said Israel's major sources of drinking water, including the Sea of Galilee, are below their "red lines," meaning water should not be drawn from them.

To alleviate the crisis, the Water Authority has started to pump water from tributaries that empty into the Sea of Galilee — water that was not expected to reach the sea or be used until 2010. — jta

Oy vey! What to do! What to do! So much water wasted crying crocodile tears!

I'd say that another attempt at taking the Litani River is in the offing.
"The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities, states and nation. At the head is a small group of banking houses generally referred to as \'international bankers.\' This little coterie... run our government for their own selfish ends. It operates under cover of a self-created screen, seizes our executive officers, legislative bodies, schools, courts, newspapers and every agency created for the public protection."

If there's any problem with Global water issues then you can aim pretty much at plantation woods being grown in mountainous areas above water catchments.  Also with the changes of foresting around the world the rain pattern to the world will change.

We've just got over the bad Sun cycle too and going in to the cold phase.
