Mae West — the Jewish Diva

Mae West has perhaps done more to Judaize America than any other Hollywood celebrity, not only as an actress, but as a scriptwriter (she wrote all her movie scripts), a glamorized celebrity acting as a "role model" for the women of her time, a diva held up by Hollywood as the prototype of the "liberated woman," and as a famous quipper of widely publicized bon mots.

Her most famous witticism is

"Too much of a good thing is wonderful."

Gluttony is considered a sin by Christians. In the Old Testament, however, gluttony is barely mentioned (Proverbs 23:2 and 28:6-8) and then only as caution as to its potential for causing financial ruin: "gluttons are assured of ruin." One should not eat into one's capital.

Gluttony and ostentatious display of wealth had been disapproved of not only by the Puritan moral tenets but also by all other Christian teachings in America. The less religious middle and upper classes of American Christians considered it at best in bad taste.
Yet excess seems to be a worthy and proud goal in Jewish identity ethics, interwoven with paranoia: one can never be too wealthy, too powerful or too feared to fend off enemies.
Enemies must not be just vanquished. They — their "women, children and animals" must be pulverized.
When "g-d" promises to the Jews the wealth of the un-chosen, He is not stingy.
Even suffering is never great enough or painful enough to not benefit from vast exaggeration: millions of Jews are said by the Old Testament to have been killed, and millions are added to the Jews who perished in German concentration camps.
Even a cartoon of a Jewish war criminal (Netanyahu and before him Sharon) caused, they say "immense suffering" among "Jewish communities" everywhere. How can such exquisite sensitivity coexist with an insatiable appetite to make it more painful in imagination and ritually relive it in repetitive "commemorations"?

To be accepted in a society that considered gluttony and ostentatious display of wealth a sin or at least a faux pas of bad manners, vociferous insatiability had to be made glamorous and sexy. Mae West was perfect for that task set out by Hollywood. Interestingly her Jewishness was hidden as it is to this day, or downplayed absurdly ("half Jewish: only her mother was Jewish"...). She had to be the all-American 'liberated woman.' Yet curiously a statue of her was placed at Hollywood – La Brea Blvd. "to honor the multi-ethnic ladies of the cinema" together with the likes of Dolores del Rio and Anna May Wong. "Multi-ethnic"?

Mae West's message was best expressed in her famous 'witticisms,' which iterated that:

– Material wealth with no limits is a worthy goal:
"If a little is great, and a lot is better, then way too much is just about right!"
"I never worry about diets. The only carrots that interest me are the number you get in a diamond."

One must stop at nothing to acquire wealth:
"Goodness, what beautiful diamonds!' 'Goodness had nothing to do with it'."
"Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere."

Selfishness is respectable:
"I never loved another person the way I loved myself."

Tawdry and course vulgarity, brazen immorality and monomaniacal concupiscence are the new wit, humor and moral latitude of the new, liberated woman:
"Love is like a booger, you pick and pick at it. Then when you get it you wonder how to get rid of it."
"I've been in more laps than a napkin."
"Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me
"There are no good girls gone wrong – just bad girls found out."
"I wrote the story myself. It's about a girl who lost her reputation and never missed it."
"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."
"Good sex is like good bridge. If you don't have a good partner, you'd better have a good hand."

The moon-faced, buxom platinum blonde was the Golden Calf that Hollywood gave to the Goyim to adore and they did. They would have loved to "come up and see [her] some time."

Like a Trojan calf, once inside it never left, it was never rejected but reinforced later by other Mae Wests, even if not "half Jewish on their mother's side," but necessarily blond and able to coo in a sexy voice that "diamonds are a girl's best friend."

Nevertheless, however many followed, they did not touch Mae West. She was the pioneer.
It seems unfair then that this meritorious Jewish girl from Brooklyn should be cast aside among mere "multi-ethnic ladies of the cinema."

In Gilad Atzmon's "The Wandering Who?" pride of place is given to great Judaic mythology characters like Esther. But what about "progressive" Jews? Don't they deserve to have their own, non-religious pantheon of real, documented heroes and heroines?

The first thing I thought of while reading this was that West was a prettier Madame Blavatsky.

Of course, if West was the Matriarch, then this soul was the Tragic Princess:

Jews use the 7 deadly sins to corrupt the 'gentiles' through hollywood and the media. Think about it.
