MassResistance is taking the battle into the churches! On Sunday morning, Jan. 18, Brian Camenker of MassResistance was the speaker at the Christ Temple United Pentecostal Church in Tiverton, RI (just across the border from Fall River, MA).

The congregation came from both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

More people are starting to realize that the aggressive "culture war" battles we're all confronting are ultimately a war against religion, God, and particularly Christianity.

War against religious values and traditional religion itself

We've all watched as the values-free "comprehensive sex education" and the aggressive homosexual and transgender agenda has come into our schools. We've seen the push to force "gay" marriage and the draconian "non-discrimination" laws throughout the country. We're seeing more sexually explicit media, even "family time" television. On the horizon are lowering age-of-consent laws; legalizing prostitution, polygamous marriages, incest, and physician-assisted suicide; and allowing genetically engineering of babies.

The obsession to purge traditional religion from schools, government, businesses is matched only by the vicious drive to punish people and businesses who don't comply with that political and social agenda as severely as possible. What's happening and what can people do about it? For one thing, pastors need to take a stand and engage their congregations.
This pastor "gets it"

Pastor Jay Stirnemann of Christ Temple United Pentecostal Church gets it. We first met Pastor Jay in the main hall of the Rhode Island State House during the "gay marriage" battle in 2013, at a rally of pastors (where we also spoke). He understands the problem and has been getting our emails since then.

Just after Christmas, Pastor Jay called us and asked if Brian Camenker would come to a Sunday service and speak before the congregation. Not just a short speech, he said, but to give the sermon. "And don't hold back," he added, saying that the people need hear our message.

On Sunday, January 18, Camenker and four others from MassResistance came to the church. Camenker spoke for 45 minutes.

Camenker spoke about the true nature of this battle. He talked about the horror stories in the schools and elsewhere, much of it resulting from the "gay marriage" edict in Massachusetts. He showed how ordinary people can – and must – successfully fight back. He gave vivid examples from successes by MassResistance and others over the last several years.

The congregation responded with great enthusiasm. They were really energized. Camenker answered questions from the pulpit for over an hour, And afterwards many stayed longer to talk with him and the others from MassResistance, and sign up for emails, etc.

Bringing the religious community onto the battlefield

Many people have written about the ongoing assault on Christianity, religious belief, and religious freedom. Moreover, there is a widespread  feeling that the core of the revolution against it lies in bringing the nation's God-fearing churches and synagogues ( <WTF>) into the fray in a serious and fearless way.

But there is also the widespread angst that a large portion of today's religious community has no interest in engaging in this terrible battle – that they would rather be comfortable on the sidelines than risk trouble by engaging for truth and righteousness.
