I remember reading a book on the Manson trials when I was a lot younger so with interest, I read almost the whole thing in one sitting. The argument is kind of build around a bit of everything is a hoax/crisis actors premise, with a bit of Dave McGowan's Laurel Canyon thrown in. If you can get past the very brief references of Nazi scientists brought to the US, this is a great read.
