I don't believe Hitler was a racist, at least not like the history books and the mind bending propaganda that was spun from the allies after the war would have you believe. The much less dramatic title and one that even today is bestowed upon anyone who is anti zionist is an anti-semite(so who cares?) , having said that he was quite an ambivalent one at that. After the fall of Stalingrad frenchmen, Arabs, Spaniards, Slavs and tens of thousands of non Germans continued to fight for the nazis on a volunteer basis right up to the doomed final fight for Berlin in 45. The Waffen-SS is another example that springs to mind.

Hitler treated certain Jews with kindness. Thousands were granted his personal clemency. The fact that Jews could become "German blooded"was an unprecedented display of ethnic tolerance for the time period in question. The US did not even do this for blacks or Jews at that time. Blacks and Jews were not accepted as WASPs until the civil rights movement of the 60s and 70s, and even then their position remained precarious to say the very least.
