They've clearly faked videos before but this is clearly a new level or realism and interactivity. You can now fake anyone's facial expressions in real time. It's just the matter of time before voice catches up to video faking.... and then they'll be able to make anyone say anything they want. And good luck trying to separate real vs faked footage!

Imagine how they'll use this to foment even more fear among the population by making fake vids of terror leaders. Another application would be to make it look like dead people are still alive... useful for coverups.

Maxim had a CGI centerfold - in 2004.

video & CGI tech. have only 'improved' since then.

A double edged sword - the ability to create mostly CGI movies like Avatar, and the ability to create very convincing videos ... for example of dead politicians.
