Mass casualties in Florida nightclub shooting, gunman dead: police

Gunfire erupted at a gay nightclub in Orlando early on Sunday, causing mass casualties and leaving one suspected gunman dead inside, police said.

Officers said in a Twitter message that there were "multiple injuries" at the Pulse nightclub and local media reported that between seven and 20 people had been shot.

The dance club urged patrons to "get out" and "keep running" in a post on its Facebook page.

Police have not confirmed if there were any other people killed or the specific number of injuries. A news conference was scheduled for 7 a.m. ET.

Several patrons had posted on social media that a gunman was holed up inside and holding hostages. One man who said he was inside the club posted that the shooting broke out around 2 a.m. and that he heard about 40 shots being fired.

Javer Antonetti, 53, told the Orlando Sentinel newspaper that he was near the back of the dance club when he heard the gunfire.

"There were so many (shots), at least 40," he said. "I saw two guys and it was constant, like 'pow, pow, pow,'."

Police said they had carried out a "controlled explosion" at the club hours after the shooting broke out, but did not say why that was done. They described the scene as a "fluid situation".

Video posted online showed a large number of police and emergency vehicles outside the nightclub. Bomb sniffing dogs were also on the scene, CNN reported.

It was the second deadly shooting at an Orlando night spot in as many nights. Late Friday a man thought to be a deranged fan fatally shot Christina Grimmie, a rising singing star and a former contestant on "The Voice", while she was signing autographs after a concert in the Florida city.

   Authorities in Santa Monica, Calif., say a man who claimed to be headed
   to a Los Angeles gay pride parade was found to have an automatic rifle
   and items that could be used to make pipe bombs in his car.
   
   According to a story from the Los Angeles Times, the man was arrested
   after the Santa Monica Police department received a call of a prowler.
   When officers found the man and searched his car, they discovered the
   weapons and explosives.

   The man allegedly told police he was trying to find a friend and the
   two were going to the LA! Pride Music Festival and Parade in West
   Hollywood.
   
   According to police, tannerite, an ingredient used in bomb making, was
   found in the car. The car had Indiana license plates.

   So what is "tannerite"? Well this is where it gets interesting, in my
   opinion...
   
      Tannerite is the brand name of a binary explosive marketed
      primarily for making exploding targets for firearms practice. It is
      a patented combination of ammonium nitrate (an oxidizer) and
      aluminum powder (a fuel) that is supplied as two separate powders
      that are mixed and shaken to produce an explosive. The combination
      is relatively stable when subjected to forces less severe than a
      high-velocity bullet impact, such as a hammer blow, being dropped,
      or impact from a low-velocity bullet or shotgun blast. It is also
      not flammable – an explosion cannot be created by a burning fuse or
      electricity. Because it is sold as two separate powders, it can be
      transported and sold in many places without the legal restrictions
      that would otherwise apply to explosives. Other combination
      explosives are generically referred to as Tannerite.
   
      Tannerite is intended to detonate when shot by a high-velocity
      firearm bullet. Low-velocity shotgun ammunition will not initiate a
      detonation.
   
      Tannerite detonations occur at a very high velocity, producing a
      large explosion and cloud. It is marketed as a target designator
      that is useful for persons who are firing at long ranges. For such
      a use, a long-range rifle shooter sets up targets and retreats to a
      distant firing position. The shooter does not need to walk
      down-range to see if the target has been hit, as the Tannerite will
      detonate and serve as a highly-visible indicator.
   
   What convenient timing i say!
   
   So, are we to believe that this was going to be used in the attack? It
   sounds like the kind of stuff that would be used on firing ranges and
   police ranges for training purposes in the exploding targets, just
   saying. Sure doesnt sound like the kind of thing used in pipe bombs
   since fuses and electricity wont detonate it, and its not even flamable.
   
   It could be, and its my speculation here, that we are seeing an
   orchestrated event/or fake, rolled out on the back of the earlier
   attack, all designed as a psy-op to push for an all out gun ban.
   
   There is undoubtedly more to follow on these stories.... "

Here is the surveillance video of a gunman who entered the Irving Plaza in Manhattan and shot up the crowd on May 26, 2016. The venue doesn't look like much, but other photos suggest that it is a fairly upscale  nightclub/ballroom venue. The point is the venue has security cameras in the venue, and they usually have them at the entrance, exits and at the bar where the registers are kept.



Here is the Pulse night club. It looks like it may not be in the best neighborhood, but a blurb on the club suggests that it is an upscale venue, likely maxed out every weekend and making boatloads of cash from alcohol sales. The club's website is no longer accesible aside from a single page offering a brief message regarding the event, so I don't know if the club stayed open for cabaret hours (after 2AM). The initial attack allegedly happened around 2AM, and if they didn't operate caberat hours, would have been ushering patrons out of the club. Of course, we know that there was a report of someone holding the exit doors closed.



Some years ago, I recall being called by the police to corroborate a friend's story after having been involved in a bar fight, which led to a serious injury in a dive bar we were in the night before. I was invited back to the bar and asked to identify several people from surveillance video the bar had recorded, and I was surprised to see myself at the bar, drinking and enjoying myself. I was completely unaware that I had been recorded, and the footage was in black and white but in surprisingly crisp detail.

Point being is that there is very little chance that 10 years down the road a moneymaking club like Pulse would not have at least one, if not many high quality video security cameras all over recording everything all night, if for nothing else but the purpose of liability from a drunken fight or some other injury.

This incident will no doubt be like 9/11 or the holocaust model for the homofascist left. Just like an entire security industry was built after 9/11, with many civil liberties stripped from citizens, the shooting will be used for a huge power grab by LGBT activists.

So now we can look forward to catering to every demand from LGBT activists, including trannygender bathrooms and any other goofy shit they can come up with, without question, or else you are a hater who wants to kill six million homosexuals. We can also expect free speech on the internet and in public life being severely curtailed, with expansive hate speech legislation being proposed by anti-free speech extremists groups like GLAAD and ADL.

And then there's gun control of course, where responsible gun owners are now going to be held accountable for this shooting incident.

The plastic jar that factory Tannerite is designed to be detonated in, IS very highly engineered.  Tanner spent thousands of hours tweaking the Tannerite mixture and hundreds of hours engineering the jar.

It is true that Youtube is full of guys that are packing buckets and jars full of Tannerite and sometimes achieving first-shot success.

However, I don't think the guys in Santa Monica were on their way to a successful shot-marker detonation.  You can't put Tannerite in a metal pipe and expect it will work.  1/8 of steel really slows down a typical bullet.
