The Rooskies are seeming to say that Donnie-boy is full of shit, and that Donnie-boy's claim to have killed al-Baghdadi isn't necessarily to be believed.

Based on what their Ministry of Defense says, RT reports this:
Russian MoD doubts Trump's announcement of killing ISIS chief al-Baghdadi, rejects claims it assisted US forces in op

There's no credible data to prove a successful American raid took place against Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Russia's Defense Ministry said. The US coalition didn't even carry out any airstrikes in Idlib recently.

Earlier, Trump made a rare Sunday address from the White House informing the world that al-Baghdadi was eliminated in northwest Syria in a "daring nighttime raid" with the involvement of US special forces, planes, helicopters and drones. The Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) leader met his end "crying and screaming" in the face of the Americans' might, he said.

But the Russian Defense Ministry insisted that "there were legitimate questions and doubts about the very fact [of the US operation] and, especially, its success."

Moscow pointed out that it recorded no US coalition airstrikes in the Idlib area in northwest Syria on Saturday when the raid was held.

It also rejected Trump's claims that Russian forces opened up the airspace under its control in Syria to American planes to facilitate the operation against the IS leader.

The ministry questioned the very possibility of al-Baghdadi's presence in Idlib as the area is held by Al-Qaeda offshoot, Jabhat al-Nusra, who have always been mortal enemies of Islamic State.

Moscow noted that Islamic State was crushed in Syria in early 2018 in a joint effort by the government in Damascus and the Russian forces, meaning that yet another report of al-Baghdadi's demise "bears no effect on the operational situation in Syria or on the actions of the remaining terrorists in Idlib."

French Defense Minister Florence Parly also questioned the significance of the claimed US achievement, pointing out that the raid only marked "an early retirement for a terrorist [al-Baghdadi], but not for his organization."

Based on what British diplomat Edmund Fitton-Brown told  RIA Novosti news agency, RT reports this:
'All we have are Trump's words': UN isn't confirming elimination of IS chief al-Baghdadi

The US President's statement on the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi sounded confident, but the United Nations is still unable to confirm the death of the Islamic State leader for lack of proof, a high-ranking UN official has said.

The UN Monitoring Team on terrorist groups is going to put questions to the US and other involved parties to clarify the fate of al-Baghdadi, Edmund Fitton-Brown, a British diplomat who coordinates the team, told RIA Novosti news agency.

"All we have so far is the public announcement from the Americans, but it does seem like a very confident announcement. They seem very sure of themselves. They claim that they have verified it... So, I think that should be taken very seriously."

However, Fitton-Brown pointed out that Washington "would be setting themselves up to a considerable embarrassment" if the report on the death of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) chief turns out to be false.

On Sunday, Trump went on air to announce that the US forces have eliminated al-Baghdadi in "a daring night-time raid" in northwest Syria, involving special forces and aviation assets. He said the terrorist's body was mutilated and buried underground as he'd blown himself up in a tunnel leading from his hideout, insisting that a DNA test still verified that it was him.

Trump initially promised to release a video of the raid, but the Pentagon later said that it had disposed of al-Baghdadi's remains at sea and have no plans to share any videos or photos.

Shortly after the address, Russia's Defense Ministry doubted Trump's words, saying that it didn't record any US coalition airstrikes in the area when the raid was said to have been carried out. It also poured cold water on Trump's claims that Russian forces had opened up the airspace under its control in Syria to American warplanes, so that they could reach al-Baghdadi's compound.

Oh, but look!  Donnie-boy released a picture of a dog!!

That proves it, doesn't it?!   Donnie-boy would NEVER lie, would he?

Doglassified: Trump releases picture of canine hero who 'cornered' ISIS leader Baghdadi

President Donald Trump has released an image of the canine who he said chased Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi into a tunnel before the terrorist chief killed himself. The dog's name, however, remains a national secret.

"We have declassified a picture of the wonderful dog (name not declassified) that did such a GREAT JOB in capturing and killing the Leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi!," Trump tweeted on Sunday, along with a photograph of an alert-looking dog, apparently a Belgian Malinois.

Trump revealed on Saturday that the four-legged fighter had been hurt after it went into the tunnel in pursuit of Baghdadi.

Earlier on Monday, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair Gen. Mark Milley told reporters that the heroic hound had "performed a tremendous service" in tracking down the notorious jihadi, and has since been recovering on duty at an undisclosed location. Pressed about the pooch's identity, Milley said the US is keeping the dog's details classified for now.

Not all dogs go to heaven however. While the unnamed dog paraded by Trump on Twitter has been given a hero's reception, Baghdadi himself, Trump said, "died like a dog" and will now face "the final judgment of God."
