This movie has insight into how ancient Myths developed surrounding "Gods".  One important point later in the show (40 minutes) is how "plasma" discharges are reflected in the shapes of ancient "gods".  Poseidon's Trident and even the Jewish "Menorah" are ancient Plasma discharge shapes that were associated with "gods" and their power to "shake" the earth.  Interesting thought here is that these types of frightening plasma discharges across the earth could actually return in the future at some point.  The Jewish "Menorah" is just as Pagan as any phallic symbol worshiped over the years.

After the Revolution of 1905, the Czar had prudently prepared for further outbreaks by transferring some $400 million in cash to the New York banks, Chase, National City, Guaranty Trust, J.P.Morgan Co., and Hanover Trust. In 1914, these same banks bought the controlling number of shares in the newly organized Federal Reserve Bank of New York, paying for the stock with the Czar\'s sequestered funds. Here's a little more on this topic. I suggest folks check this out since it allows several ancient strands of tradition to come together.

Ancient Testimony

Mythology

Modern scholars generally define myth as a form of sacred history which attempts to describe the origin of the world and various cultural institutions. If, as seems to be the case, myth also preserves clues for reconstructing the recent history of our solar system, its study becomes all the more important. Comparative mythology highlights striking cross-cultural similarities which strongly suggest that the core of most if not all ancient mythology has planetary origins. This begs the question: How is it that planets that appear as mere tiny specks in the night sky could have held such a profound fascination for our ancestors?

According to the prevailing dogma, the Nebular Hypothesis, planets and stars accreted from the dust cloud after the Big Bang billions of years ago. In this dubious model it is assumed that these bodies have occupied more-or-less steady and unchanging orbits ever since. Anyone who challenges this ideological assumption is quickly reminded of the 'fact' that the only forces at work are gravity and inertia. Any contrary viewpoint thus requires 'mysterious' forces. But these mysterious forces, as it turns out, are not so mysterious after all.

When the role of plasma and electromagnetism is acknowledged whole new vistas open-up, and this broader perspective allows us to view ancient mythology with more respect and less contempt. Is so much ancient myth merely the work of ignorant, superstitious savages, or do our ancestors have something far more profound to tell us?

Could it be that our ancestors viewed skies very different from what we see today, and that they have witnessed spectacular discharge and catastrophic events in recent millennia ... phenomena that make today's auroras and natural disasters look trivial by comparison?

So many bizarre mythological details don't make any sense in the real world, such as flying and fire-breathing dragons, and countless others. It is easy to dismiss them as the product of creative imagination, but this attitude runs up against an insuperable difficulty - these seemingly impossible motifs can be found around the globe. It is very difficult to understand how creative imagination could explain such consistent and recurring motifs, as a number of leading anthropologists and mythologists have acknowledged.

Saturn

Saturn appears to play perhaps the most important role in ancient mythology, that of the central luminary of the sky. This begs the following questions:

Why did the early astronomers celebrate the planet Saturn as the first Supreme God? Why did the ancients sacrifice their children to Saturn? Why was the original Sabbath, the most sacred day of the week, named after Saturn? Why did ancient nations invoke Saturn as the primeval Sun? Why did early astronomers declare that Saturn ruled from the celestial pole? Why do so many modern religions carry remnants of Saturn worship?

Dwardu Cardona's new book, God Star, is a comprehensive and fascinating look at Saturn mythology.
       Petroglyh 2

Venus

The planet Venus also plays an important role in ancient mythology. Converging ancient images include the Babylonian 'torch' and 'bearded star', the Mexican 'smoking star', the Peruvian 'long-haired' star, the Egyptian Great Star 'scattering its flame in fire', and further widespread imagery from around the globe -- that of Venus as a flaming serpent or dragon in the sky.

Mars

The planet Mars, of course, is associated with war, and the month of March is named after it. He was the fearless warrior who wielded thunderbolts, and he is venerated by many differing cultures across the globe, where the themes vary little.

Consider the following parallels:

'Scarface' was the name of a legendary Blackfoot Indian warrior, also called 'Star Boy'. The Pawnee warrior, Morning Star, can also be identified as the planet Mars. Greek mythology describes various heroes and rogues being struck down by a thunderbolt. For example, when Ares, the planet Mars, was wounded in battle, he roared with the din of a thousand warriors and rushed to Zeus to show off his scars. Hindu myths also speak of a deep scar on the head of the warrior Indra, their god of the cosmic thunderbolt.

Pictured right is the Aztec god Xipe, sporting a scarred face.

The origins of Religion

Just a cursory glance at modern religious festivals reveals many underlying similarities that clearly have their origin in astronomical events.

For example, Horus of Egypt was born of the virgin Isis-Meri on December 25th in a cave with the birth being announced by a star in the East and attended by three wise men. Mithra, Sungod of Persia, was born of a virgin on December 25th, and was considered a great travelling teacher and master. Krishna was born of the Virgin Devaki (The Divine One), his father was a carpenter, his birth attended by angels, wise men and shepherds, and he was presented with gold, frankincense and myrrh. Prometheus of Greece descended from heaven as God incarnate, to save mankind. Prometheus was crucified, suffered, and rose from the dead. The list goes on.

It should be noted that The Sun 'dies' for three days on December 22nd, the winter solstice, when it stops in its movement south, and is 'born again' or 'resurrected' on December 25th, when it resumes its movement north. In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be 'born of a Virgin'. The sun is the 'Light of the World', and its rising in the morning is the 'Saviour of mankind'. The sun's 'followers' or 'disciples' appear to be the 12 months or the 12 signs of the zodiac (constellations), through which the sun must pass.

It is difficult to ignore the role of the heavens in mythology and its close relative, religious symbology.

Saturn's Dragon storm - a living mythtorm -

Pictured right is a thunderstorm on Saturn that has remained fixed since 2004, much to the further puzzlement of the scientific community. Meteorologists do not fully understand terrestial lightning, let alone the 'surprise' of lightning on other planets, and Saturn produces stupendous displays!

The spiraling shape of dragons and serpents in mythology are strikingly similar to plasma instabilities in the laboratory and in space, a fact which reminds us of the metamorphosing and life-like qualities of plasma phenomena. It should be little surprise, then, that we see similar configurations of electrified plasma in megalightning on Saturn today.

Petroglyphs

So much ancient rock art from around the globe shows striking similarities to plasma phenomena, and much of it remains inexplicable otherwise. What are the ancients, with their strained voices echoing across the centuries, trying to tell us?

From around 50,000 BC rock art focussed on hunting, animal, and fertility symbols, as might be expected, but this suddenly changed. Between roughly 12,000 BC and 2000 BC it found a more abstract form which is uncannily reminiscent of reproducible plasma phenomena. Dragons, serpents, and spirals et al are recurring motifs throughout this period.

The following PDF is an excellent technical paper about the relationship between petroglyphs and plasma phenomena.

The below is quoted from the link:

"Thunderbolts of the Gods by David Talbott and Wallace Thornhill, is the first in a series of volumes contending that planetary instability and large scale electrical phenomena in ancient times led to a series of global catastrophes remembered around the world.

"Talbott and Thornhill claim that earthshaking upheaval occurred so recently as to have profoundly affected early human cultures. And the two authors suggest that the myths and religions of all ancient peoples memorialized these events. To make their case, they offer a new synthesis of ancient testimony, high-energy plasma laboratory experiments, and space age discoveries."

EDM - Electrical Discharge Machining

Planetary scars         Lightning effect

The evidence for the electrical scarring of planetary surfaces is compelling, and yet conspicuously ignored by mainstream cosmology. These scars can be produced by both catastrophic events, and by more mundane EDM processes that can be witnessed today. A consistent theme has developed in mainstream circles, however. Whenever this evidence is discovered, it is described as surprising, and then explained away using an array of conventional, and very often contradictory, mechanisms. Parsimony goes out of the window when politics come into play. The more simple and verifiable electrical hypotheses are thus overlooked, and the inertia of prior belief prevails, at least for the time being.

How?

Catastrophic events during the past account for many of the surface features which defy conventional explanations. During periods of upheaval and instability, planetary orbits may have been perturbed, and when coming into relatively close contact, their plasma sheathes would have interacted. Any electrical differentials naturally tried to establish equilibium.

To begin with, electrical atmospheric phenomena would have intensified (auroras and lightning), and before long violent discharges, aka huge sparks, resulted. Hence the 'Thunderbolts of The Gods'. Things got a little bit hairy, to say the least. Significant planets are unlikely to have actually collided, of course, as electrical forces are both attractive and repulsive.

Furthermore, electrical phenomena are scaleable over at least 14 scales of magnitude. Effects which are measured in millimetres in the laboratory can therefore measure vast distances across space and on the surface of planets.

Today we see these phenomena on a far less violent scale, and they are referred to as EDM -- Electrical Discharge Machining. The theory actually suffers from an embarrasment of riches, and many enigmatic planetary features can and have been produced in the laboratory.

Lightning rille

The evidence

Scars very similar to those pictured in the right hand column of this page appear on a number of different planets. Such scars tend to defy traditional explanations. For example.

Many craters tend to be almost perfectly spherical. Impact craters very rarely achieve this.
Some of the craters exhibit internal spiral patterns. Impact craters don't do this.
Crater chains often appear in straight lines. The chances of this happening are close to zero.
Channels begin and end out of nowhere.
Channels tend to be predominantly flat floored, ending with steep walls.
Channels often criss-cross, ignoring pre-existing channels. Liquids don't do this.
Channels often run up hill. Again, liquids do not tend to do this.
Many planetary rilles run for thousands of miles in almost straight lines or wave like patterns.
Missing debris. Assuming some of the features are produced by traditional methods, where did the material that has been removed go to?

Most of these electrical features are reproducible in the lab.

Sometimes these features are explained away as lava flows, or collapsed lave tubes, even where there is little evidence for any other volcanic activity. Wind and water may also be cited, but typically the planets concerned are supposed to be dry, or at least have been for many millions of years.

It is also interesting to note that many meteorites hit the earth without producing craters, and that we find many craters with no evidence of any impact!

I'm quite surprised that with all the different names that given for Venus, there is no mention of LUCIFER and 'the morning (and/or evening) star'? What's up with that?

QuoteMars

The planet Mars, of course, is associated with war, and the month of March is named after it. He was the fearless warrior who wielded thunderbolts, and he is venerated by many differing cultures across the globe, where the themes vary little.

So the planet Mars can also identified as the Morning star? I know it doesn't exactly say that, but the 'the morning star' is and always has been Venus, right?

To me, this is nonsense.
The article seemed interesting at first, but it turned out pretty bad. It seems to be theosophical material like Zeitgeist. More arguments against Christianity... (I am not religious BTW, but I see the way they attack Christianity, and I find myself wanting to defend things they offend.)

I've watched 20 minutes of the video. Within the first 10 minutes they show slides of some sun symbols...or at least that's what I thought they were! When describing the petroglyphs depicting what anyone should consider being the sun,  one of the gentlemen in the video says, "I immediately recognized (the slides) as being  electric (Plasma?) discharges in the laboratory".

Hmmm...

I don't know what's up with the this mis-info...?

Just my thoughts. Perhaps I'll have more comments if I decide to finish the video...

CrackSmokeRepublican

FreeTruth... Did you finish the video?

Keep a couple of points in mind:

1.  This is not an attack on Christianity. I'm not sure where this "attack" is brought out in the film at all. I'm kind of surprised you see it that way.

2.  Recent observations from Space (Comets, Pulsars, etc.) have phenomenon that does not fit into Modern Cosmologies. The theories can't allow for it but the "electric universe" can.  The film makes the case that some of aspects of the "electric universe" phenomenon was observable by Humans on the earth and likely recorded it in legends and stories about "gods".  The film makers generally put forth that at some point in the past people watched electric bolts and plasma transferring between planets.

3.  The concept of "Lucifer" as a "god" was invented by St. Jerome during the time of Roman Empire, 1000s of years after perceptions of electric inter-planetary phenomenon had disappeared.  Lucifer is a literary construction and is only later associated with the Devil-Satan-etc by early Catholic-Christian scholars. Yes it is the "morning star" in Latin but so what?
QuoteSt. Jerome agrees with them (In Isaiah 1:14), and makes Lucifer the name of the principal fallen angel who must lament the loss of his original glory bright as the morning star. In Christian tradition this meaning of Lucifer has prevailed; the Fathers maintain that Lucifer is not the proper name of the devil, but denotes only the state from which he has fallen

4.  Focus more on the "electrical" factors related to the planets and the "gods" of myth.  Plasma discharges typically take a particular shapes that people at some point had painted or chipped onto a rock. They make the case about the "electric universe" which is really what the whole film is about.

5. Did you find something seriously wrong with the science? I hope not. Like...where exactly is the "mis-info" or is it just "mis-understood" info?

6. A few forms of plasma discharge typically form as 3, 5,7 and 9 pointed branched trees (menorahs). They didn't have this in the film but these shapes do look remarkably look like a Jewish Menorah.

QuoteThe article seemed interesting at first, but it turned out pretty bad. It seems to be theosophical material like Zeitgeist. More arguments against Christianity... (I am not religious BTW, but I see the way they attack Christianity, and I find myself wanting to defend things they offend.)

No one is stopping you from defending. Make a worthy point.

Thanks for your post CSR.

No, I have not watched the rest of the video. And I didn't really intend to, but because of your response I may consider it...

I'm sure it was a worthy point when I said the sun petroglyphs which one of the fellows in the video claimed he immediately recognized as "plasma discharges" in the lab should/would be considered depictions of the body in the sky we all see everyday by anybody rather than these questionable plasma discharges... Furthermore I don't know if these discharges would be visible to the naked eye from Earth. I have a telescope (4.5") and I can't get good detailed views of deep space! Stars are like specs in my eyepieces...

In the ninth minute where they mention the "white crown of Egypt," it is compared to a pattern that doesn't even resemble the crown. Then they try to equate the crown  to another head dress from another part of the world that is totally different.
Parts like the ones above made it hard for me to watch as much as I did. Perhaps I should watch the rest before commenting again, but this video is nonsense judging by what I've seen so far.

QuoteThe film makers generally put forth that at some point in the past people watched electric bolts and plasma transferring between planets.

Though I know I of course can't this with absolute certainty, but that was not goin' down...

QuoteHorus of Egypt was born of the virgin Isis-Meri on December 25th in a cave with the birth being announced by a star in the East and attended by three wise men. Mithra, Sungod of Persia, was born of a virgin on December 25th, and was considered a great travelling teacher and master. Prometheus of Greece descended from heaven as God incarnate, to save mankind. Prometheus was crucified, suffered, and rose from the dead. The list goes on.

Those are pretty much the same arguments used in Zeitgeist...

And I'm confident the design of the menorah did not come from plasma discharges!!!

Here's a positive Review of the movie (and there are some negative ones as well):

By systematically comparing these images to the most prominent mythological themes, the authors reach a revolutionary conclusion. In ancient times, electrical activity produced gigantic and violently metamorphosing formations above the ancient witnesses. According to Talbott and Thornhill, these terrifying apparitions were the true source of the enigmatic celestial serpents, dragons, cosmic mountains, long-tongued demons, and metamorphosing gods, goddesses, and heroes of the ancient world.

Perhaps the authors' most radical tenet is the role of the Solar System's planets in these events. For they contend that at least some of the planets moved on different orbits than observed today, appearing as giant spheres extremely close to Earth and anciently celebrated as towering gods. Thus, the demonstrable power of the electric force to override the weak force of gravity is vital to their hypothesis. From this new vantage point, the pervasive ancient reverence and fear directed toward planets and toward comets as harbingers of destruction finds a new interpretation -- a gauntlet thrown down to challenge the stable and predictable solar system of modern theory.

You both hold parts of the truth.       There is something to this plasma thing.

And there is also something to the unfified effeort by the Illuminati/jews/zionists/kabbalsist  to script all stories into one blob thereby attacking christianity and other religions for the purpose of creating a new world order satanic religion  or atheism.
