I'm 67, and I've never seen a push for World War, like what is going on now.

All Russia and China need to do to beat the US military, is simply to have a "pre-Greed" management style.

Rome Air Defense labs were known for having no-nonsense results oriented management style.

What I witnessed working for American military contractors is that they will re-package a genuinely effective cheap solution - like using dielectric grease to keep moisture out of electronic connectors - into a (literally) $5 Million "solution" (in 2002).

In so doing, they add another unnecessary layer of complexity to the, in this case, F22 electronics design.

Russia and China can beat the US simply by doing a "deep dive" on significant failures, e.g. the loss of 22, F22's, at Tyndall Air Force Base in October 2018.

Basically, the US did not listen to "Bob", the Senior Digital Quality engineer that told them - in 1998 - that they grossly over-reached on the F22 avionics.

Like they were trying to keep up with the Gates'.  Windows going from Windows 95 to Windows Vista - in one step.

They fired Bob.  Then I started talking to him at a common gym, that he went to and I went to, AND the Digital Design lead that voted to fire Bob, all went to.

If Russia & China listen to their version of Bob, they will be head and shoulders superior to the US in military avionics.

And if they avoid giving contractors the incentives to do make-work (the $5,000,007 tube of dielectric grease) that add COMPLEXITY to the design.

My guess is, old fashioned common sense have a greater influence in Russian and Chinese design labs, than in American corporations.

There was a PREVIEW of JSF/ F35 performance at the Israeli military theater associated with their War on Iran.

They had a squadron of F35's headed for Iran, and they realized that they had Zero Stealth.  Iranian radar was dead-on focussed on each of their planes.

They turned around.

This is the history described by Scott Ritter in a Youtube interview about 2 weeks ago.

Obviously neither Iran nor Israel had a press conference to discuss equipment success and failure.
