TEHRAN, Jan. 26 (ISNA)-The arrogance does not want the world to believe Gaza people's victory in war with Israel but the fact is undeniable, said Chief of Iran's Expediency Council.

In a ceremony held for the second victory of resistance Sunday in Tehran, Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said Israeli army started a war with all might against people who were under blockade and did whatever it could ruthlessly.

"Israel presumed the war would be over in a few days and it can oust legal Hamas government and the white flag will be hoisted from among the people but it made a big mistake."

Off course Israel's move was supported by the US and European countries and they delayed issuing the Security Council resolution so that Tel Aviv could gain its goals but when it got disappointed they drawback, he added "now within the occupied territories of Palestine a criticism of the attacks has been started and we can hear analysis over failure of Israel and its army in Israeli media."

Those who know the nature of resistance have no doubt about its victory, although nearly 1300 were killed the triumph is valuable and it is the second victory of resistance after Lebanon's Hezbollah won in 2006, he noted and hoped the third victory would be freedom of Palestine.

He then emphasized Iran has a clear-cut stance regarding Palestine and it deems Gaza victory as its own victory.

They (western powers) accuse Iran of military support for Palestine, they presume the allegation would harm Iran but actually it does not, there is no shame in supporting oppressed people, he stated.

The former president also praised the media role for reflecting Gaza tragedy in the world and attracting attentions to this issue.

Iran believes Palestine must gain its sacrosanct right by its nation's endeavor, he continued, Palestinians must get ready to preserve their rights and no one can object to this aim.

"That is the difference between resistance and terrorism, who defends his identity and territory by weapon is not a terrorist, terrorist is who creates panic and terror in his own or other countries," he emphasized.

Many Palestinians learned a lesson from this war and will repeat it very well, Israel too, learned its lesson that it cannot be a winner by using bombs, imposing blockade and keeping people hungry, he asserted.
