Friedrich Stelzel of Munich claims to have been a German POW incarcerated by the Russians at Auschwitz immediately after WWII. At that time he was able to communicate with Polish prisoners that were still being held at the camp. He questioned them about the alleged gas chambers. They apparently told him they had never heard of such a thing. His letter to Irving is on his website which can be found at the following link:

Letter.

He also mentions that prisoners that had served their time were released by the Germans.

He provides his present address in Munich. One wonders when the thought police will get after him.

His letter is in German. I will provide a translation for non German speakers on this forum in a few days.

Unfortunately I belong to those - according to your definition- unreasonable human beings who do not go so far as to deny the Holocaust, but nevertheless dispute it.

I was, that is to say, in Soviet captivity at Auschwitz in the summer of 1945 and know therefore that at that time there did not exist any gas chambers to gas human beings. I also know that it was not an extermination camp as you would call it. Have you ever been to Auschwitz?

In my search for the gas chambers I came across a tiled 20 meter swimming pool in the prisoner area complete with diving board and chromed ladders for entering and leaving the pool. I asked myself whether the prisoners were allowed to go swimming prior to being gassed.

One day I met two Polish Kapos( head overseers) who were living at the camp since the time of the war. During the course of our conversation I asked them what the living conditions were like in the camp and about the gas chambers. To get right to the point they knew nothing about any gas chambers. The living conditions were bearable. Those who worked received camp scrip (camp money). For that they could buy additional nourishment or tobbaco products or pay for a visit to the camp brothel. Prisoners who served their time were released.

It should also provide food for thought that Eli Wiesel preferred to evacuate with the Germans to the West instead of letting himself be liberated by the Red Army.

Incidentally, in numismatic circles Auschwitz scrip is still traded today.

My friends Grandfather was a prison guard at one of the "Death Camps", needless to say, he has stated that there were no such things as murderous gas chambers.

What about furnaces that 'burned people alive constantly throughout the day'?

Anyone have Speilberg's number, I think he can set us straight on that info.

My father had a colleague who was a US pilot that got shot down over Germany and was captured. The Germans took him in, saw his name, and asked if he happened to be Jewish. He said yes, but they were much more interested in his citizenship and the plane he was flying. They put him in a prison camp, but security was poor enough that he escaped with someone else... twice. Both times they found that conditions were worse and there was less to eat outside the camp, so they just went back. He was never treated any better or worse because of his tribal affiliation.

That's only one man's story, but it shocked the hell out of me when I first heard it. Back then I had only heard of "death camps" and ovens.

He's well into his 80s now and is probably counted among the Holocaust survivors. The Shoah must go on!

When the Zionists suggest that the difference was made up by some cremations being carried out in open pits, this does not help their "theory". It requires at least 200 kg of wood (in India they reckon on 300 kg) per body to cremate in the open air, i.e., 20,000 tonnes of wood per 100,000 bodies. A Douglas fir, for example, provides 800 to 900 kg of merchantable wood. If we say one tonne of wood per tree, and 20,000 trees to cremate 100,000 bodies over three years, that is about 18 trees per day to be felled, sawed and transported to the burning pits by the loggers - for each 100,000 that this method is claimed for (and no accounting for the lack of evidence of wood and bone ash). There were claims of second-hand motor oil being used, and let's be generous and assume a mere 40 kg per corpse. At around 0.85 kg/lit, it would take 4.7 million liters of motor oil for every 100,000 bodies. You can just imagine it: "Achtung! Please send us a few tins of used oil; ve haf some pigs to burn." "How many bodies?" "Nearly a million!" [Calculates how much oil is required.] "Duh!"
