In the last 2 weeks a massive, clearly well-financed advertising campaign has started around Hamburg to scare people into being vaccinated against Hepatitis B. There are large posters at many of the underground and local train stations. The posters inform people that the disease can hang around unnoticed for years, but can be prevented by having the vaccination. It also mentions that it is passed on through body liquids and contact (so behave yourself everybody!!). It is financed by the authorities and Bristol-Myers, Squibb. So no profit motive there.

I would think that the campaign probably is running in other German cities, but cannot be sure. Has it been seen anywhere else?

It may be a coincidence but might this be a softening up before a massive flu vaccination campaign come September.
