This article is an excellent find and this definition of usury for the modern age is about as precise and succinct as it gets.  However, I would also consider the futures trading - the speculation on future value of commodities we all need for day to day life and the profiting from their apparent rise in value as usury, but it doesn't involve lending, per se.

well it does relate because, mostly, the only reason values climb is because the money supplies increase as a result of inflation which is the result of interest and usury.

it's all pervasive, the entire system is artificial...
