...I'm looking for updates --post 'em up later-- but it's all over our news here and on the radio that emergency rooms are  overflowing with flu patients. Last week, 100 kids called in sick to one school from Poway, a San Diego suburb, and the local news reported that the outbreak started after a busload of the 6th graders (11 year olds) returned from a 'day camp' where 2 or 3 kids actively had cases of flu.
...I'll be back with news.

Btw, the original case of H1N1 which was held up as the beginning of the first wave, was generated out of a Navy lab in San Diego --not La Gloria, Mexico. The child who presented the sample, as the story goes, casually traveled with his family (Mom had the flu too) to Texas and 'started' an outbreak there. That's the official line from the CDC.

On Oct.14 a five-year-old died of H1N1...this after the school outbreak, which has parents in motion...

"On a normal day, Rady Children's Hospital officials said they see about 150 children in their ER. On Thursday, they saw 280. Since midnight Friday, they have seen 236. [today is Friday and it's still only 7pm (19:00)!!] Officials with Scripps Medical Center also said all four of their emergency rooms are seeing a similar reaction due to the death of Arlitza Ortiz-Sanchez."

Hi Jenny, lets see how this plays out but it may just be a ploy to scare parents into giving their kids the swine flu jab.
