In the absence of sufficient time presently to add anything more significant, let me simply mark my joining by commending to your attention the following book which I see already receives attention in some three threads here:

Despite its self-proclaimed "telegraphic" style I found it does indeed provide a novel explanation of many historical "mysteries". S. himself died not long after its publication.

If you google/scroogle/startpage etc for this item and find yourelf at scribd.com, you will see the following note which is sufficient testimony to the worth of its contents:

"The document 'The Secret World Government: The Hidden Hand Revealed' has been deleted"

Download it while it's still around to be had as a scan of the original - couple of bad pages at the end but they don't detract from its effectiveness. One definitely for dbs to consider adding to his books section.

In my growing library I currently rate Nesta Webster (tho' S. socks it to her now and then) and The Plot Against the Church by the pseudonymous Maurice Pinay.

After the Revolution of 1905, the Czar had prudently prepared for further outbreaks by transferring some $400 million in cash to the New York banks, Chase, National City, Guaranty Trust, J.P.Morgan Co., and Hanover Trust. In 1914, these same banks bought the controlling number of shares in the newly organized Federal Reserve Bank of New York, paying for the stock with the Czar\'s sequestered funds. In November 1917,  Red Guards drove a truck to the Imperial Bank and removed the Romanoff gold and jewels. The gold was later shipped directly to Kuhn, Loeb Co. in New York.-- Curse of Canaan

..still pushed, so regrettably laconic mode still and risking duplication of matter previously mentioned elsewhere but... another good source of online books I find, more extensive in range than dbs's, is located in the Library section of www.fugaziquo.com.
Re: Spiridovich, interesting that his book was intended to be the first of two volumes, his sudden death unfortunately precluding the appearance of the second volume which was intended to bring the narrative of history to then then present day, 1925.
