Hey people,

I've been reading the papers regarding the polls and its worrying!

Apparently some 250,000 American-Israelis are entitled to vote the majority of whom are believed to be backing the Republican candidate. This is dangerous
as Romney repeatedly shows evidence of maintaining an 'Israeli First' policy..

What are you talking about? The bankers pay both sides. I don't want any of them to win.

Unfortunately, one of either Obama or Romney will PROBABLY win the presidency.  I predict that the winner will be Romney or Obama, and that Obama or Romney will come in second place. The third place spot will go to someone else.

Well Obama has won, I realise that bankers pay both sides and during these elections which occur every now and then in order to keep the public satisfied with the illusion that they have some input. However, the reality is that the political will within the two statesmen was different - Romney made a speech arguing "Jerusalem is the capital of Israel", which is something Obama didn't do

As you said before Mgt23, Obama is the lesser of two evils as Romney would be a green light to invade Iran.. Something which has entered the public psyche and is even on such crass media outlets such as Omegle after you log out "Vote Gary Johnson - he won't bomb Iran". In short, its scary and for me makes everything incredibly real with the danger now the elephant in the room and not simply the hidden demon lurking within your nightmares.

Anyway, I still regard it as an important event - for although people may dismiss it perhaps rightly, as a sham, a disgrace or a joke - as long as the leaders use the terms 'liberty', 'freedom' and 'democracy' they need to pay lip service to it in order to keep the house of cards standing. Democracy is only as real as people allow it to be, and unless there is pressure, unless some guy is willing to go on hunger strike to oppose some obscure policy - either corporate or governmental in origin, that freedom dies.
