Be interesting to see how or if this plays out.   Either Collett was in with a chance of defeating Blunkett at the election, or he (Collett) realised Griffin is a shill.

Any other ideas?

"BNP sacks head of publicity 'over deaths threats'

The BNP has confirmed it has sacked its head of publicity after he was arrested on suspicion of threatening to kill the leader Nick Griffin.
British National Party bosses have accused Mark Collett, 29, of trying to launch a coup against Mr Griffin.
Mr Griffin confirmed that he had contacted the police claiming to have received death threats.
Humberside Police said a man had been arrested "on suspicion of making threats to kill" and later bailed.
In a statement, police said: "A 29-year-old man was arrested on Thursday 1 April on suspicion of making threats to kill.
"He was interviewed by Humberside Police detectives and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries. This investigation was initiated as a result of a complaint by a member of the British National Party and inquiries are ongoing."
Membership policy
Mr Collett had been due to contest the Sheffield Brightside seat - currently held by former Labour minister David Blunkett - at the coming general election, widely expected on 6 May.
The BNP won two seats at the 2009 European elections and is now hoping to win its first Westminster seat.
Mr Griffin himself is standing against another former Labour minister, Margaret Hodge, in Barking and Dagenham, east London.
Last month, a judge ruled that the BNP's membership policy was discriminatory, despite the party having removed a whites-only clause in February after a legal threat from equality watchdogs.
Party officials were expected to hold a meeting on Monday to discuss what they say are "urgent organisational matters" and Mr Griffin has said he will make a statement in the next day or two."
