Just a personal thought I had, wait don't just judge a post by its title ;)

A Democracy is the unlimited rule of the majority without any protection for the minority or individual rights. So in essence israel symbolizes that! The term Democracy has been hijacked by politicians to represent popular government as opposed to a popular form of government.

What politicians don't talk about is a Republic which has been forgotten even by the US of A which was the third republic following Rome and France. A republic is there to restrain the power of the majority so they wouldn't impose on the God given rights of man i.e. individual and minority rights.

So for israel, the majority is European Jews and the minority is Arabs (Muslims, Jews and Christians). So to put it simply when the minority is not allowed to vote, work or even walk on the same street as the majority this represents a Democracy a true Democracy.

when it comes to terms, I often think of G orwells newspeak, where words were changed or shortened or the terms changed as well. To me the term democracy is a moving target, and is what ever they say it is at any given time. I am a firm believer in self rule, or anarchy, but people hear the term anarchy and they associate it with chaos in the streets, by design no doubt. But in reality if everyone followed one simple rule, "never harm or hinder another" we could live in anarchy, as freemen.

This concept is most likely unattainable, because there will always be someone taking advantage over someone else. I just finished reading Bertrand Russell's essay "What I believe" written in 1925 and you gain a real insight into the man. He talks about science changing man into docile creatures, he also talks about the men using war as birth control or population control. Anyway it is an interesting read none the less.

"The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge." (What I Believe, 1925)

Anyway I decided that I am special and I deserve a homeland for me and my kind!

Democracy isn't the word that comes to mind, apartheid and terrorist state do

Og

Didn't you get the memo that the term democracy now means apartheid and terrorist state

P.S. The Rome Republic ran on caste system and slaves.

Og: true that, but still they keep throwing the term democracy around and they want to democratize my country with bombs and occupation and the sheeple here actually parrot whatever the politicians say...

Savage: True but back then slaves were a property just like the US when it first started, they weren't citizens. But unlike the US in Rome being a slave was not exclusive to black people, they had slaves of all color even former citizens. But as citizens they had all the rights that a republic can give them although primative with Rome it was still a Republic ruled by the senate until Julius Caesar came a long and they despized democracy which was Greek.

I guess what I am trying to convey is that a republic was a society based on slavery. We are still slaves black, white, yellow, green still today it is the illusion of freedom that the term democracy holds. The US also had Chattel or Debt slaves as well as Blacks. The only difference I see is that the physical chains and whips have been replaced with mental chains and whips.

The key to freedom is Self rule and being able to provide for yourself, you can only do that with property, a unalienable right. a un lien able right

They Bind us with terms and words and symbols, thus we find folks using slavespeak without even knowing it.

We are also taught Julius Caesar was bad just like Adolf, but what if the story sold is not the real story.

I know, but Julius Caesar also has his supporters some say he was assasinated because he wanted to mint his own money, others say because he killed the republic. But as for Anarchy it is not attainable because humans by nature cannot stop themselves from harming one another whether intentionally or unintentionally, I use to support anarchy but when I started to get to know more about it I discovered atleast in my opinion that it is impossible to achieve, we can find a suitable form of government outside the ones that are already known. But until then the most effective so far that we have has been a republic even with its disadvantage its still better than the rest and if the elections are more regulated and based on merit rather than who has more money to spend then it will certainly eliminate a lot of the disadvantages.
