Georgi Vodka Ad Pulled From Brooklyn Buses

You can't blame Georgi for trying to reach their target demographic. But evidently the MTA can.

MTA officials recently decided to remove Georgi Vodka's provocative bikini ads from some of their Brooklyn buses.
QuoteOwner Martin Silver  :^)  had a lot to say about it:

""They hardly gave us any warning. They just took them off the buses. These ads are clearly not pornography. ... If you don't like what's on a bus, all you have to do is look away and walk past."  <:^0
Clearly, many didn't like what was on the bus -- which was, the "back side of a woman dressed only in a bikini bottom and a woman sitting in the sand with her arms around her knees," according to the New York Daily News.

Complaints from the Hassidic community were reportedly what drove the MTA to take action.

Georgi too took action, however, as the Georgi models sported "GEORGI" bikinis and carried signs reading "MTA should butt out of bikini ads"

After the Revolution of 1905, the Czar had prudently prepared for further outbreaks by transferring some $400 million in cash to the New York banks, Chase, National City, Guaranty Trust, J.P.Morgan Co., and Hanover Trust. In 1914, these same banks bought the controlling number of shares in the newly organized Federal Reserve Bank of New York, paying for the stock with the Czar\'s sequestered funds. In November 1917,  Red Guards drove a truck to the Imperial Bank and removed the Romanoff gold and jewels. The gold was later shipped directly to Kuhn, Loeb Co. in New York.-- Curse of Canaan
