Israel immigrants will be sent home.

  ISRAEL will begin deporting families of illegal immigrants in the next few weeks, government officials said.

  Critics say the immigrants' children, many from Asia and Africa, are educated in Jewish schools and speak fluent Hebrew. Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel said: "What about the Jewish heart and Jewish compassion and Jewish morality?"

  Interrior minister Eli Yishai, who oversees immigration policy, dismissed sympathisers with the immigrants as "bleeding hearts". "Nobody is worrying about... the Jewish identity of the state of Israel."
