Goldman Sachs Jews

Lloyd Blankfein

Lloyd Craig Blankfein (born September 20, 1954) is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Goldman Sachs. He has been in this position since  2006. He is the Gala Chairman of the Rockefeller family's Asia Society in New York. On January 13, 2010, Blankfein testified before the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, that he considered Goldman Sachs's role as primarily a market maker, not a creator of the product. Goldman Sachs was sued on April 16, 2010 by the SEC for the fraudulent selling of a collateralized debt obligation tied to subprime mortgages, a product which Goldman Sachs had created. (i.e., subprime mortgage-related securities). With Blankfein at the helm Goldman has also been criticized "by lawmakers and pundits for issues from its pay practices to its role in helping Greece mask the size of its debts."

Gary Cohn

Headline media stories in mid-February 2010 described the role that Gary D. Cohn played in the Greek government's attempts at concealing and deferring debt in order to meet criteria for inclusion in the Eurozone. His employer, Goldman Sachs, has fallen under intense scrutiny and come in for criticism for creating or pitching products and ploys used by Greece to "obscure billions in debt from the budget overseers in Brussels".[3] History of this effort to shoehorn Greece into the eurozone dates back to shortly after Cohn was serving as the global head of Goldman Sachs's commodities business and through his tenures as a senior manager in charge of the company's global commodities and global securities units. He himself led a delegation from Goldman Sachs in late 2009 for meetings which included proposals to place debt-due dates so far into the future that metrics for assessing the Greek national debt would be sufficiently vitiated so as to permit Greece to stay a Eurozone member.

Stephen Friedman

He worked for much of his career with investment bank Goldman Sachs.Among other public service activities, Friedman is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.  On May 7, 2009 Friedman resigned as Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in response to criticism of his December 2008 purchase of $3 million of stock in Goldman Sachs.

John Weinberg

Sidney James Weinberg (October 12, 1891 – July 23, 1969) was a long-time leader of the Wall Street firm Goldman Sachs, nicknamed "Mr. Wall Street" by The New York Times and "director's director" by Fortune magazine.
Goldman Sachs bought Weinberg a seat on the New York Stock Exchange in 1925. Weinberg became a Goldman Sachs partner in 1927 and helped run the investment trusts, including Goldman Sachs Trading Corp. He co-ran the division with Waddill Catchings, who shriveled the market value of Goldman Sachs Trading Corp. from $500 million to less than $10 million. At this point, Weinberg took over the division, and became a senior partner in 1930. He became head of the firm in 1930, saving it from bankruptcy, and held that position until his death in 1969.
Weinberg had two children, John Livingston Weinberg and Sidney J. "Jim" Weinberg, Jr. Both would serve as partners of Goldman Sachs.
