Okay, this isn't anything earth-shattering, but I still thought it was interesting info from a German commenter over at Brother Nate's site:

It was not "anti-semitism" that motivated people to vote NSDAP in 1933 and later but poverty and Versailles Treaty. I have a whole book full of testimonies and statistics "Warum Wir Adolf Hitler Wählten" (Why did we elect AH).

Motivations in March 1933: Unemployment/Poverty-24,9%, Versaillles Diktat-19.2% (...) Antisemitism-1,3%, Person Hitler-0,4%.

Motivations in April 1938 (when unemployment and poverty were gone and almost forgotten): Revision of Versailles-39%, Successes of internal policies-30,1%, NS Party program-1,8%, Person Hitler-0,9%.

Only workers (2%) and students (1%) indicated the person Hitler as one of their motivations, which is surprising remembering the old videos showing hysterical crowds at Party rallies etc. Antisemitism was not even mentioned in 1938.

Therefore +BN is right in saying that people begin to wake up when a bread will cost $15, and not because of the "9/11 inside job" or AIPAC machinations. That's the way people are, and in 1933 most people in Germany read Jewish papers just as the Americans today see Jew-tube.

If Germans ever rise again and elect or support a new Leader their motivation will be poverty, criminality of the immigrants and Potsdam Conference. I doubt they will think of the Holocaust guilt Cult. Today most believe in this.
