The Obama administration is preparing to release Jonathan Pollard, a former US Navy intelligence officer convicted of spying for Israel in 1985 and sentenced to life in federal prison two years later.

The release would end a decades-long fight between Israel and the US over Pollard, 60, and some US officials hope the move will smooth relations with Israel following the Iran nuclear deal.

Any ruling about Pollard, who pleaded guilty, would be made by the US Parole Commission.

I suppose this could help "smooth over" things after the treacherous completely legal and public Iran nuke deal.  But I can not recall what Tel Aviv did to "smooth over" its relationship with America after illegally stealing highly classified documents and committing espionage on a grand scale.  Maybe they let us continue to send them billions of dollars in assistance, without complaining that it wasn't enough, for at least a few years.  But I somehow missed their grand gesture...Now I recall, they went and stole the secrets of the F-22 Raptor fighter jet in 2012, and sold them to China.  Anybody in Washington need a circumcised toothbrush?

Quotestole the secrets of the F-22 Raptor fighter jet in 2012, and sold them to China.

That PROVES that they are the enemy.  After all, if they were an ally, they would steal the secrets (LOL) to the F-35 and sell them them to China.   :) <lol>
