Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and the United States plan to resolve the crisis in the self-proclaimed People's Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk militarily, bypassing the Minsk accords negotiated to bring peace, experts told TASS on Friday.

Vladislav Seleznev, who heads the press service of Ukraine's General Staff, told the Ukrainian Pravda newspaper that Kiev said via the West that the self-defense militias violate the Minsk agreements and that is why "we reserve the right to use artillery if our positions come under attack."

Donetsk republic's Defense Ministry spokesman Eduard Basurin said Ukraine's forces had attempted to breach militia defenses in the Mariupol direction on August 10 using large-calibre guns, tanks and mortars.

Kiev's preparation for the offensive is confirmed by Poroshenko's law signed on Tuesday on increasing defense spending by $250 million. Ukraine's military expenses in 2015 already reach $5.5 billion. The US has promised to allocate another $500 million to finance the training of Ukraine's military divisions and the Pentagon plans to train a total of five battalions. Ukraine's Deputy Defence Minister Petro Mekhed has not ruled out that another three waves of mobilization may be held.

The president of the International Center for Geopolitical Analysis, Leonid Ivashov, told TASS the Kiev leadership is preparing for war as it will be unable to retain power when peace comes to Ukraine. "Social problems are growing in Ukraine. The economy is falling apart. The gunmen of the Right Sector extremist group do not subordinate to the defense ministry and challenge the authorities," Ivashov said.

"Poroshenko needs the war to discipline the citizens using harsh measures and to quash mass protests against the policy that is being pursued. Besides, the Ukrainian president needs to account to the US masters for military and financial support," the expert said. "The continuing civil war in Ukraine allows the US to keep accusing Moscow and to step up pressure against Russia. From the geopolitical perspective, the US feels more comfortable when a war is under way in the middle of Europe, creating problems for EU countries," he said. "As for the August offensive in the Mariupol direction, Kiev's goal is to block Crimea. Besides, this is an economically important area as it is the major crossroads of transport routes."

The president of the Academy of Geo-Political Problems, Konstantin Sivkov, says "Kiev's authorities need the resumption of the war in Donbas to distract people from the problems using the rhetoric about Russian aggression."

"The US is pushing Kiev towards gaining victory in the civil war to control the entire border between Russia and Ukraine and have a full-fledged bridgehead in Ukraine for pressure against Moscow," he said.

On August 20, 3 Kiev cutting edges of military power were formed and established at the contact line. There are 5 separate mechanised brigades, 2 separate batte tank brigades, 1 artillery brigade and 1 group of military rocket launchers systems in the Mariupol sector. The cutting edge includes over 22 000 of the military personnel, more than 130 battle tanks, 560 APCs, 55 MLRS units, 200 artillery guns and mortars, 720 armor-defeating weapons.

5 separate mechanised brigades, 1 separate battle tank brigade, 2 airmobile infantry brigades, a rocket brigade Tochka U and a brigade of MLRS. In this sector, Pro-Kiev forces include more than 15000 of the military personnel, 110 battle tanks, 430 armored personnel carriers, 5 units of Tochka U, 50 units of MLRS, 220 artillery guns and mortars, 620 armor-defeating weapons.

In the Debaltsevo sector, Kiev concentrated 5 separate mechanised brigades, 1 separate battle tank brigade, 3 artillery brigades and a brigade of MLRS. The Debaltsevo cutting edge includes more than 19000 of the military personnel, 70 battle tanks, 580 armored personnel carriers, 45 units of MLRS, 230 artillery guns and mortars, 910 armor-defeating weapons.

4 separate mechanised brigades, 2 artillery brigades and a brigade of MLRS are at the LPR direction. This cutting edge includes more than 18000 of the military personnel, 60 battle tanks, 530 armored personnel carriers, 30 units of MLRS, 230 artillery guns and mortars, 1000 armor-defeating weapons.

On reserve Kiev has 2 separate battle tank brigades, 4 airmobile infantry brigades, an airborne brigade, 3 artillery brigades and a brigade of MLRS. Totally, the reserve includes 14200 of the military personnel, 70 battle tanks, 450 armored personnel carriers, 50 units of MLRS, 175 artillery guns and mortars, 350 armor-defeating weapons.

Thus, Kiev has finished the preparations for an all-out military operation in Donbass. The future developments depend on the reaction of people's republics, internal political developments and the international diplomatic situation.

The real reason behind Kiev's coming offensive is to plunge Russia into economic crisis

It seems that the bound for defeat Kiev's intention to attack Donbass has received its justification. They want to disconnect Russia from SWIFT and destroy it, this time once and for all. The Polish Vice-President of the European Parliament, Ryszard Czarnecki has literally said the following:

"As a result of exclusion from the international SWIFT system, the state budget of Russia would  lose 10%, while Russia's GDP would decrease by 5% per year."

"Due to this decision, the Russian Federation will lose 5% of GDP per year. I want to draw your attention to the fact that for the first two quarters of the year, Russia has lost 4.6% of GDP. For the end of the year, the state treasury would lose 10%, it would be a calamity,"  - he said.

Vice-President of the European Parliament admits that there is an economic war being waged against Russia. War, aiming to repeat the scenario of "Perestroika", i.e. - the collapse of our country.

Thus, according to the MEP, now the economic situation in Russia is deteriorating, and reminds of the 80-s, when the Soviet Union could not withstand the economic, political and military competition with the West. A Polish politician has called for a return to the provisions of the Lisbon Treaty and to entrust the foreign policy of the EU to its Central authorities. Otherwise, the blame for the failure will be attributed to those countries that took the lead, he said.

According to him, the major European countries only "partially succeed" in such matters. Thus, the mediation of France in the conflict between Russia and Georgia in 2008 did not lead to a positive result. Violations of the Minsk agreements in our day suggest that Europe has returned to what began ten years ago, says Sikorski.

And the responsibility for the current setbacks will be imposed on those states that are now "in the spotlight". So, if "everything goes wrong", you can blame Germany, says Sikorski.

Ukrainian troops were forced to fire back and break the ceasefire in  Donbass in the name of self-defense, said State Department spokesman, John Kirby.

Speaking at the briefing, Kirby said: "According to the OSCE, the vast majority of violations (of Minsk agreements) occur from the pro-Russian separatists".

"The vast majority of attacks come from the side of pro-Russian separatists. Ukraine has the right to defend itself. Obviously, what we want from all sides is to adhere to the Minsk agreements, which provides for the withdrawal of weapons and the cessation of violence, negotiations about the settlement,"  - he said, answering the question, whether the US condemns the attacks by Ukrainian forces in the conflict zone.

Russia and Ukrainian militia will pay an additional price in case of capture of new territories, said on Monday the official U.S. State Department spokesman, John Kirby.

"We remind that the attempts of Russia and the separatists to seize more territory will have their price," - he said.

Referring to the weekend attacks, Kirby said that "there is no doubt that they were made by Russia and the separatists".

He also demanded fulfillment of commitments of the Minsk agreements from the Russian Federation and the militia. The State Department spokesman noted that U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, last week expressed "serious concern" about the situation in Ukraine to the Russian foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

According to him, the US "continues to urge the Russian Federation (and the militia) to the full implementation of commitments under the Minsk agreements".

Thus, the following picture emerges:

In the first step, Kiev, defending itself, develops a full-scale attack.

In the second step, Kiev suffers a devastating defeat.
In the third step the West after noisy demonstrations of a number of questionable videos, and other "evidence" excludes Russia from SWIFT deals and commits other attacks on our country.
In this case, the West would have to pay a great price. It is not surprising that the Poles (or should I say the USA) are already publicly vilifying Germany for Minsk-2. Recall that USA, Poland and the European bureaucracy are not involved in this format of negotiations, which infuriates them.

Nevertheless, Kiev may attack Donbass at any time and then everything will kick off. The cold war will move to a new level and in Russia there has to be an inner escalation, because  "Perestroika" (which the West openly refers to) is impossible without the domestic factor.

No, it couldn't be a military surprise, but it seems like the intention is to make it a political surprise for the EU and US populations.  They are not supposed to notice the news about the buildup phase of the operation, so when they finally get any front page coverage, it is supposed to come after the blitz.  Either stories about how Ukraine acted swiftly in self defense against repeated rebel truce breaking, siezing their weapons and saving the civilized world; or, if Russia enters the battle and crushes the Ukrainian army, we will get the shocking news that Russia has just invaded Ukraine to seize its territory in the worst act of unprovoked aggression since Hitler took Poland.
