QuoteTHE SPIRITUAL STATUS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

What should be the attitude of True Orthodox Christians to the contemporary Russian State? Is it the true successor-state to the pre-revolutionary Russian empire, requiring that its citizens – and especially those citizens who call themselves Orthodox - obey it with zeal and express loyalty to it (even if privately critical of certain of its actions or leaders)? Or is it illegitimate, requiring that its citizens adopt a confessing stance in relation to it, refusing obedience at least in certain spheres (for example, the war in East Ukraine)? To put it more bluntly: is the present-day Russian Federation a true authority established by God (Romans 13.1)? Or is it akin to that apocalyptic beast of which the Holy Spirit says that its power is from the devil (Revelation 13.2)?

The Russian Orthodox Church was faced with this question shortly after the revolution in relation to the Soviet State, and came up with an unequivocal answer: the Soviet State is cursed by God, and no confessing Orthodox Christian can recognize it. Already on November 11, 1917 the Local Council of the Russian Church meeting in Moscow declared that Soviet power was "descended from the Antichrist and possessed by atheism": "Open combat is fought against the Christian Faith, in opposition to all that is sacred, arrogantly abasing all that bears the name of God (II Thessalonians 2.4)... But no earthly kingdom founded on ungodliness can ever survive: it will perish from internal strife and party dissension. Thus, because of its frenzy of atheism, the State of Russia will fall... For those who use the sole foundation of their power in the coercion of the whole people by one class, no motherland or holy place exists. They have become traitors to the motherland and instigated an appalling betrayal of Russia and her true allies. But, to our grief, as yet no government has arisen which is sufficiently one with the people to deserve the blessing of the Orthodox Church. And such will not appear on Russian soil until we turn with agonizing prayer and tears of repentance to Him, without Whom we labour in vain to lay foundations..."

One fact is not in dispute: Marxism-Leninism, the official ideology of the Soviet Union, has disappeared into the dustbin of history. There might still be a few "true believers" in the Russian Communist Party (or in the "Donetsk People's Republic"). But if we are looking for convinced Marxists, we are more likely to find them in North Korea or Nepal or Zimbabwe or Venezuela - or even in Paris, New York or Glasgow - than in "the homeland of the revolution".

But how significant is this fact? Not at all if we remember that the essence of communism does not reside in Marxist ideology, but in the demonic spirit that tries to overthrow all God-established authorities. As the holy Elder Aristocles of Moscow and Mount Athos (+1918) said some years before the revolution to the future Abbess Barbara of the St. Mary Magdalene convent in Gethsemane: "An evil will shortly take Russia, and wherever this evil goes, rivers of blood will flow. It is not the Russian soul, but an imposition on the Russian soul. It is not an ideology, nor a philosophy, but a spirit from hell."

A spirit from hell... So if we are to determine the question whether the Russia of today has really been liberated from Sovietism, we have to ask: has that hellish spirit been exorcised? Is the demon-possessed body of Soviet Russia now at peace?

Spiritual diseases require spiritual treatments. So the spiritual sickness of Soviet Russia could only be cured by the spiritual cure of repentance. At the beginning of the 1990s there was a brief moment when the repentance of Russia looked possible, as thousands of people threw in their party cards in response to revelations of the shocking crimes of the Soviet period. But the stubborn spirit of rebellion quickly staged a comeback. In 1992 a "trial" of the Soviet Communist Party came up with the verdict: "Not Guilty"! In the same year, a parliamentary commission unearthed incontrovertible evidence that the leaders of the Moscow Patriarchate were KGB agents – but not a single patriarchal bishop repented or resigned! Meanwhile, the KGB itself, after a short-lived scare, recovered its poise and set about planning the next stage in the revolution... If the leaders of Church and State refused to repent, it is not surprising that the people as a whole were also impenitent...

At the beginning of the new millennium, the KGB, and with it the evil spirit of Sovietism, returned to full power. Ten years before there had been three centres of power – the Party, the Army and the KGB. Now there was only one, the KGB; and its agents quickly filled all the more powerful posts in government.

http://thefederalist.com/2014/02/26/putins-right-hook-the-strategic-implications-of-russias-new-conservatism/

QuoteVladimir Putin has suddenly emerged onto the world stage as a conservative. The former KGB colonel, turned democrat, turned technocrat styles himself a modern Tsar in the mold of Nicholas I. Indeed, the official ideology of that especially conservative despot, "orthodoxy, autocracy and nationality," resonates eerily with Putinism's most recent mutation. The Russian President has good reason to believe that a stronger sense of national identity, coupled with a more religious and family oriented culture would benefit his country. His choice of timing, however, suggests political expedience, as well as a profoundly shrewd geostrategic insight.

Russia's rightward turn renders Putin's regime immune to the criticism of western liberals, and polarizes western conservatives. It therefore strains the Atlantic alliance, and neutralizes the claims of policymakers in both Europe and the United States that Russia's resurgence presents a threat. Thus it strengthens Putin's hand in the former Soviet periphery, Eastern Europe and in the Middle East against the moral, legal and political objections of Western governments. Moreover, it establishes an entirely new ideological precedent for autocratic regimes who seek to challenge the American led world order. As Ukraine's liberals seize the initiative against a government that enjoys Putin's backing, they will look to the Western world for validation and support. The West could easily respond in kind; as of late however, its leaders have either been too reluctant, or have forgotten how. If Western Europe and the United States are serious about sustaining a world order that prevents conflict, enables prosperity and promotes liberty and the rule of law, then their governments should defend it on those terms. Evidently, the Kremlin has figured out how to either shut them up or turn them against each other...

To hear a former KGB colonel bemoan the "erosion of ethnic traditions and differences between peoples and cultures," and the "destruction of traditional values from above" is at the very least amusing, if not astoundingly mendacious. Putin is nevertheless speaking to sentiments that an increasing number of Westerners share. Moreover, he is the only statesman of any noteworthy stature who is publically addressing them...

In the United States, Putin's right turn has exacerbated old divisions among its conservative intelligentsia. The reaction of some conservatives to Putin's December speech has been positive, if not affirming. Putin's call to return to traditional values and scorn for elites who willfully promote "abortion on demand, homosexual marriage, pornography, promiscuity, and the whole panoply of Hollywood values" compelled Pat Buchanan to wonder aloud whether Putin "was one of us?" Writing in The American Conservative, William Lind went so far as to claim that "American conservatives should welcome the resurgence of a conservative Russia." Such praise for Putin couldn't more strongly contrast the loathing of other American conservatives. Writing for National Review, the Stanford classicist Victor Davis Hanson compared Putin to Milton's Satan, arguing that "he winds up existing to warn us in the West of what we are not." Throughout the Cold War, American conservatives were predictably unified in their ideological stand against communism. Indeed, the Soviets faced few enemies as unyielding as those who shared the views of either Mr. Lind or Mr. Hanson. Evidently, Putin has divined the formula for polarizing his more traditional opponents...

Effective grand strategies are distinguished insofar as they are able to articulate their objectives in moral terms, and then methodically filter them through rigorous assessments of what is possible. Currently, Putin is adopting a moral purpose for his country in international affairs, and it is lending him strategic clarity. Western Europe and the United States, by contrast, are increasingly confused about their moral purpose, and have thus lost the initiative in shaping global events. Their statesmen would be wise to blunt the divisive effects of Putin's right turn by turning back to the basic elements of their civilization, and articulating why they are a force for good. As Ukrainian liberals struggle to gain political traction following their ouster of a Kremlin backed stooge, Washington and Brussels could challenge Russian influence by calling for self- government, ordered liberty and the rule of law. Moreover, they could call out the Kremlin for its lawlessness and aggression. The Kremlin will inevitably shoot back mocking and sophistic charges of hypocrisy: they can be ignored. Putin's challenge to the current world order lends him power because no one is willing to defend it on its own terms. Thus, the longer Western uncertainty persists, the more its autocratic enemies will gain in power, influence, and strategic initiative.

QuoteWhat I am absolutely certain of, however, is that the new year will bring the West more of what I've termed Special War emanating from the East. Moscow is far from ready to wage sustained conventional war against NATO, not least because the oil-plus-ruble collapse will delay its long-overdue military modernization program, but it is eminently prepared to engage in the witches' brew of espionage, subversion, and terrorism that makes up Special War. Here the West must be vigilant, since Kremlin Special War can do real damage, and represents something that NATO is poorly conditioned to recognize, much less defeat and deter.

First, espionage, which is a long-standing Russian core competency. Kremlin intelligence operations against the West are not only rising in number and intensity — even the media has belatedly noticed that Moscow's special services are as active against us as they ever were during the Cold War — but in aggressiveness as well. Putin takes a deep and personal interest in the activities of Russia's intelligence agencies, which formed his unmistakably Chekist personality, and he has given them wide latitude to "get tough." Just as in Israel, though not at all in the United States, Russian spies know that "the top" has their back if an operation goes wrong, as some inevitably will; Moscow prefers a bias for action, not inaction, in its huge espionage arm. Moreover, the persistent inability of Westerners to see Russian espionage as the serious threat to our secrets and safety that it is — here the blindness of even some NATO governments to the painful reality of the Snowden Operation does not encourage — gives the Kremlin a latitude to wage Special War against the West that it does not deserve.

Which leads to the matter of subversion, a term which has fallen out of favor since the Cold War but which needs a rebirth as soon as possible. Russian intelligence and its helpers have a sophisticated doctrine, honed over decades, to wage what we would term Political Warfare against their enemies. To further the Kremlin's aims, they cultivate Western politicos, activists and journalists to disseminate pro-Russian views on a wide range of issues; much of this is now conducted online. These Western partners range from being full-fledged agents of the Russian special services to mere pro-Putin influencers, not always entirely wittingly. Nevertheless, this Kremlin brand of espionage-based psychological operations — the proper term is Active Measures, which has no doctrinal NATO equivalent — can achieve devastating results through lies, half-truths, and forgeries. Russia takes advantage of Western gullibility, niceness, and unwillingness to accept just how dishonest the enemy is, sometimes to strategic effect. Subversion is back, with online disinformation as its main weapon, and the sooner we accept this the West can begin to counter Russian agitprop that aims to psychologically and politically disarm and divide NATO without fighting.

I know what some of you may be thinking:

"Obviously this Michael K. guy is deluded by the Zionist handlers behind these Western establishment talking heads who pretend that NATO has no capacity for or familiarity with espionage, subversion and terrorism."

No, that is not the case.  The object is to point out that both the West and the East are playing the same games.  It seems that only the East is seriously making an effort to subvert conservative, religious and traditional minded people on the internet, with most of the West's efforts in that department being confined to keeping Christian Zionists on the reservation.  The West is slipping, and that ground is being gained by the East now.

The hard facts about the world is that Jewish factions are always in the business of taking over all sides of every movement, and they are usually the most fanatical true believers, vilifying the Jews on the other side as if they are the only ones involved.  The problem I see here is that many anti-Zionists are buying the National Bolshevik hype because they both want and need a viable alternative to the Zionist dominated politics of the West.  Therefore, they suspend disbelief about the Kremlin's chameleon change into "Christian Nationalist Conservatives".  Sadly, it is not so, nor can it be so.  There is no such movement anywhere which possesses a modern state; it is a unicorn, a chimera, a false hope.

QuotePutin:'I support the struggle of Israel'

Rabbi Yosef began by saying:"According to Jewish tradition, your leadership is decided by the kingdom of G_d, King of the world, and therefore we bless you: Blessed is the One who gave His glory to flesh and blood."

Putin consulted with the Rabbis on means of dealing with antisemitism, holocaust deniers and historical revisionism.

This Rabbi Yosef who blessed ShekelPuter was a rabid Supremacist.

QuoteHere are some of his direct quotes, fully reported in the Israeli media, but almost completely suppressed in the Western Zionist-Controlled media.
Rabbi Yosef Advocates Genocide is Honored by the World Zionist Establisment
In the October 13, 2013 Times of Israel, shows how the leaders of Jewry all over the world honored Yosef after his death. it quotes the Israeli Prime Minister's adulation of Yosef:
* Netanyahu called the late rabbi a "great scholar" and said Yosef "uniquely combined Judaism and humanity" and "cared deeply for anyone in need."
Presumably Netanyahu was referring to Yosef's sermon that:
Only purpose of all Gentiles is to be Servants to Jews
"Goyim were born only to serve us. Without that, they have no place in the world; only to serve the People of Israel.
"Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat," he said to laughter during a weekly sermon.

Compares All Gentiles to Animals
Yosef also said that the lives of non-Jews are protected as Jews should do so for a donkey, in order to prevent financial loss to Jews.
"With gentiles, it will be like any person: They need to die, but God will give them longevity. Why? Imagine that one's donkey would die, they'd lose their money. This is his servant. That's why he gets a long life, to work well for this Jew." (Jewish Telegraph Agency, October 18, 2010)
Is Judaism then really compatible with what Netanyahu called "humanity?"
Netanyahu and Jews all over the world have proclaimed that Yosef was Judaism's greatest scholar. Judaism's greatest scholar who proclaimed to his fellow Jews that the central texts of Judaism maintain that non-Jews entire purpose upon the Earth is only to be servants to Jews.
