Great show guys you had some good tips, I'd like to see this theme explored further and promoted among our forum members.  Just a tip I can offer, you guys had some good ones I used too.  If you are planting from seeds its best to start the seeds in a pan about 1-2 inches deep.  You can put 6 seeds per crop in a row or so, water, mark each row so you know what's in each row, cover with plastic wrap, poke about 10 - 15 holes in the plastic wrap, put pan in the direct sunlight during the day, in about 1 -2 weeks you'll have some sprouts ready to transplant to garden.  They are much more likely to survive and give you food of you go this route.  I wonder am I the only current gardener on the forum except for you guys?  I hope not.  Thanks again for the show.

I'm actually not a very proficient gardener, although I have always appreciated the necessity of planting, and understand the concept. I've tried growing a few things here and there, but unfortunately, natural selection tends to favor playful cats over sprouting plant life. The method I used was to put the seeds in a cup of water. I was guessing at this point, but it appeared to work. I had a sprout, and it did begin to grow of its own volition once transplanted. That is of course until the cat got interested.

Good show.  You have a nice start on your book Sacrifice, keep it up.  Important words on the system of control by keeping us dependent on the mechanisms of society/civilization.  A big point you brought up is permaculture, that's like living WITH nature, setting up your living environment to incorporate natures cycles.  Like collecting rainwater for personal use and plants, using the suns heat to heat your home with large windows, that also provide light/heat for indoor gardening that gives fresh oxygen for you.  Its about making use of what nature already gives you, and you giving back, a big cycle that self sustains itself.  Slap in some solar panels and you're set to live off the grid, off of the societal grip.

Thanks much for listening, and for the kind words.

I really enjoyed this episode. i can relate since I'm up to my neck doing all of the things you're suggesting for people. I like the simplicity, "stick a seed in some dirt and water it..." Ha.

I don't usually listen to hip hop or any of that, but I found I liked your stuff a lot. Maybe it's the subject matter. I know some guys who are really into rap and hip hop though and I'll let them know about it, burn a disc or two.
