Some people have questioned Charlie Sheen's decision to publicly admit his HIV diagnosis, but during his interview with Today on Nov. 17, the 50-year-old revealed that he's sick of the lies — and being blackmailed by certain people in his inner circle.

"I have to put a stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks and of sub-truths and very harmful and mercurial stories that are about me, threatening the health of so many others that couldn't be further from the truth," the former Two and a Half Men star shared.

While Charlie chose to confide in just a handful of people — including ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller — some used his secret against him, and he's spent approximately $10 million paying individuals to keep quiet.

"What people forget is that that's money they're taking from my [five] children," he said on Today. "I trusted them and they were deep in my inner circle, and I thought they could be helpful. My trust turned to their treason."

Revealing his diagnosis to the world will hopefully help put a stop to the payouts. "That's my goal. That's not my only goal. I think I release myself from this prison today," the actor shared.

When asked about the status of his bank account, the Golden Globe winner admitted, "It's not great. It will be great again. I'm a survivor. I've been up, I've been down, I've been rich, I've been poor. It's another chapter in my life."

So actor Charlie Sheen has come out and said that he has the HIV.  That's too bad.  I really liked his acting in the Hollywood epic "Men At Work."

I just wanted to comment on this briefly due to the strange history that Charlie Sheen has had with Alex Jones.  I never could quite figure out what was going on between them.  Some of their interactions were borderline gay.  Who knows, maybe Sheen got the HIV from sharing needles or engaging in anal sex with Jones lol.

The reason I half-jokingly say this is because Jones made some very strangely homoerotic statements about Sheen during an interview he did with him back in 2011.  Amazingly, Jones actually ended up being part of what was the number one tabloid news story in America which focused around Sheen's strange behavior.

During the interview, Jones talked about how he saw Sheen's hernia and made bizarre statements about his looks.  Even though I greatly dislike Glenn Beck, he tore Jones to shreds over this when it happened.  It is actually pretty funny.  I've posted the clip below.
