QuoteSeveral Israeli military and security figures have endorsed the Middle East policies of the US Democrat candidate Barack Obama.

In an online video released by the Jewish Council for Education and Research (JCER), the regime's seven prominent officials, praised Obama's Middle East policies, Ynet reported on Sunday.

Among the officials were former Mossad Director Ephraim Halevy, ex-military Chief of Staff Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, and former Mossad official Yossi Alpher.

Ephraim Halevy claimed that "it would take an extraordinary effort to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon".

Former Gaza Sector Commander, Brig.-Gen. Shaul Arieli, who was also featured in the video added "Obama is the right man for the job [of stopping Iran]."

The former Mossad official, Alpher, said Republican candidate John McCain would continue Bush's failed policies.

"Four more years of indecisiveness would harm Israel" added former chief of the Army Central Command, Amram Mitzna.

Obama has vowed direct talks with Iranian leaders over its nuclear activities. McCain however says engaging in direct talk with the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad without preconditions would 'legitimize' his position toward Israel.

Israel and its Western allies accuse Iran of producing nuclear weapons while in its recent report, the UN nuclear watchdog said there has been no evidence of weaponization in Iran's nuclear activities.
