What Goes on Behind the Wall

I had to join this forum when I heard Ognir talking about his concern about the Palestinians.    These side of the political debate tends to be about losing political freedom and the economy tanking.  Fair enough!  But it remains true that the Palestinians are one of, if not the most abused people of this century.  The only thing I found myself disagreeing with Ognir is when he backed off from supporting their armed struggle.

But what I would like to say is what choice did they ever have?  Can they ever win that way?  Probably not.  But can they win by negotiate with total phonies like Olmert, and for that matter, every Israeli leader that ever preceded him.  Obviously not.  So what is the answer?

I don't know but I can tell you about the problem.  I wrote a book about my experiences on the West Bank three years ago, The Holy Land Unveiled.  It's available on the Net at http://www.holylandunveiled.com.  Recently I felt compelled to do a series of four audio files on the same subject including a prequel, Palestine then and Now or 10 Myths of the State of Israel, and a sequel, Go to Gaza.

Lots of stories, a full view of the takeover of the West Bank, the story behind the so-called disengagement from Gaza, and lots of facts.  The violence that the Palestinians are subjected to is not occasional it is part of a well-thought-out, concerted plan to drive them from the land.  It is now in its later stages.

This is a good overall view of the truth behind the endless lies of the headlines.  And they're free.  So download them and listen to them in the car.  It should give you pause for thought.

I don't see how in a global world, because that is what it is,whether it remains in the hands of the crooks at the top or not, we can go on letting huge segments of humanity suffer needlessly.

Welcome Jenifer, sorry hadn't seen your post

Not sure I agree with what you wrote,   I support the semite Arbas, end of story.
I never trusted any of their leaders trying to negotiate with the Zionists, and I believe they are controlled.

Welcome aboard

Without a doubt, they are controlled.  But the Israeli government destroys even those governments they control.  They denied the PA rights to satellite info, blew up police stations en masse, sued the the PLO in the US, etc.  Now, of course, they are determined to destroy Hamas.  I believe the Palestinians voted for them out of sheer frustration.  And they also provide for the population, charity, schools, hospitals.  It's impossible for us (Westeners) to understand what it is like trying to survive in that environment day to day.
The left or liberal side of the equation feels it has to damn Hamas because they're fundamentalist, and they're embarrassed because they call for the end of the Israeli goverment.  Wouldn't anyone call for the end of a goverment that has engineered its destruction?
Israel does need, or Palestine really, a government that represents all the people.
Anyway glad to be aboard.
