The Turkish newspaper Sabah reported on a detective story in the spirit of James Bond films: Turkey's National Intelligence Directorate managed to rescue from the hands of Mossad agents a Palestinian hacker who managed to break into the Iron Dome air defense system.

According to the newspaper, the hacker Omar A., who managed to temporarily disable the Iron Dome system in 2015-2016, arrived in Turkey in 2020 via Egypt. After this, Mossad tried to establish contact with the hacker under the pretext of offering a job, but he refused. As a result, Turkish intelligence services warned Omar that it would be better for him not to leave Turkey.

However, in September 2022, Omar was still planning a 15-day holiday in Malaysia. Before the trip, Istanbul's intelligence department downloaded an app to the hacker's phone that could transmit a signal about his location even when it was turned off.

Then, as the publication writes, Omar was indeed "kidnapped by Mossad agents in Malaysia and taken for questioning to a house in the mountains, where he was interrogated for 36 straight hours about how he managed to breach the Iron Dome ". Turkish intelligence agents learned of what had happened and contacted their colleagues in Malaysia; as a result of the house raid, the hacker was released. In connection with the incident, 11 people were detained, and the hacker was returned to Turkey and lives under guard in a safe place, the publication notes.
