U.S. politics has literally become a clown show that rivals the best circus of all-time, as the world probably watches on in horror, as people are mass murdered in the Middle East every single day!

One of Trump's new appointees who I have not really covered yet in my SWAMP Watch series, is Pete Hegseth who has been appointed as the Secretary of Defense.

I wanted to wait a bit and see if this was a joke also, because Hegseth is a news commentator for Fox News, and only served in the National Guard.

How could someone with so little military experience, and apparently no political experience, run the entire military for the U.S.?

Hours after President-elect Donald Trump named Army veteran and Fox News personality Pete Hegseth as his next Defense secretary, the shock among Pentagon officials quickly turned to alarm.

Hegseth, if confirmed by the Senate, would lead 1.3 million active-duty troops in uniform and more than 750,000 civilians, hold contentious meetings with U.S. allies and develop strike options against the Islamic State and Iranian proxies.

And while Hegseth has military experience, he has never run an organization larger than a small nonprofit.

"Would you trust him to run Walmart?" said a former DOD official. "Because that's how many employees we have."

"Folks are shocked," said a current DOD official. "He's just a Fox News personality that's never worked in the government."

Well it appears that Hegseth has the one quality that Trump and the Israel Zionist lobby require, and that is to be a hardcore Zionist.

Israel apparently loves this guy, because he supports Trump in wanting to build a new temple in Jerusalem.

President-elect Donald Trump's nominee for secretary of defense Pete Hegseth suggested that a temple could be re-established on the Temple Mount in a resurfaced speech he gave in 2018 at the Arutz Sheva conference in Jerusalem.

"There's no reason why the miracle of the re-establishment of the temple on the Temple Mount is not possible," Hegseth said.

"I don't know how it would happen. You don't know how it would happen, but I know that it could happen," he added.

Hegseth also appeared to endorse annexing Israeli settlements, an effort backers of the effort often describe as "applying Israeli sovereignty to Judea and Samaria," using the biblical names for the West Bank.

"A step in that process, a step in every process, is a recognition that facts and activities on the ground truly matter," he said.

"That's why going and visiting Judea and Samaria and understanding that sovereignty — the very sovereignty of Israeli soil, Israeli cities, locations — is a critical next step to showing the world that this is the land for Jews and the Land of Israel," Hegseth added

He also rejected the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, saying that "If you walk the ground today, you understand that there is no such as the outcome of a two-state solution. There is one state."
