Dmitri Medvedev's obituary for the "walking dead" Joe
Biden

In recent years, former Russian President Medvedev has been known for not mincing his words. This was demonstrated once again in the obituary that Medvedev published about Joe Biden.

Dmitry Medvedev was Russian President and Russian Prime Minister, today he is Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council. In this position, he is particularly noticeable in public because he expresses his opinion very clearly on X and Telegram and often deliberately provokes.

But Medvedev is part of the Russian government elite and therefore his posts should not be seen as mere entertaining farce, but should be taken seriously.

The day before Trump's inauguration and Biden's departure from the office of US President, Medvedev published something like an obituary for Biden on Telegram , which I translated.

The Walking Dead: End of the Series

Using the example of Biden, a walking dead man who is disappearing into oblivion, we can see how an experienced and, on the whole, not stupid politician (and he is very experienced, since he worked in high positions back in Soviet times) has gradually turned into a senile man with no connection to reality.

When I spoke to him, he was not suffering from dementia. What was noticeable even then was an unhealthy interest in Ukraine, although he explained this to me as being on Obama's orders.

Gradually, the directive developed into an obsession. This miraculous transformation involved serious political errors, banal corruption and simply a poor analysis of the situation - ignorance of history and lack of understanding of the nature of "Ukrainism". And at some point, the old man went crazy and unleashed a de facto war between the collective West and Russia, which almost escalated into a nuclear conflict with NATO.

Lately, he clearly hasn't fully understood what was happening. Yes, it must be admitted that this war is economically beneficial for the United States. But the political costs and the real danger of a deadly conflict are far more serious. But the old man was not ready for that. This is a case where the head of state of the world's largest power was completely overwhelmed by a situation. The result was the crushing electoral defeat of the Democrats. If Biden's problem is his insanity, then the mistake of his administration is that it
deliberately left its successors a very difficult crisis as a legacy on the Russian issue. The harmful effects of Biden's decisions will be felt for a long time. And that is why talks will be extremely difficult. A full normalization of Russian-American relations will take decades.

However, in my opinion, this is fundamentally impossible in the current reality. And quite frankly, it is not clear whether we even need it ...
