After the Revolution of 1905, the Czar had prudently prepared for further outbreaks by transferring some $400 million in cash to the New York banks, Chase, National City, Guaranty Trust, J.P.Morgan Co., and Hanover Trust. In 1914, these same banks bought the controlling number of shares in the newly organized Federal Reserve Bank of New York, paying for the stock with the Czar\'s sequestered funds. In November 1917,  Red Guards drove a truck to the Imperial Bank and removed the Romanoff gold and jewels. The gold was later shipped directly to Kuhn, Loeb Co. in New York.-- Curse of Canaan

Never tried it myself but from what I've heard, it's an excellent system to try for self defense.

I think this guy has commercialized parts of it. Captain Mike sells it as Close Combat Training.  Interesting research and findings for Self-defense.

I've taken Krav Maga (along with Muay Thai, Boxing, and a little Brazilian JuJitsu) for the last 3 years at it really is the most effective and practical form of self-defense.  If you guys have any questions, fire away.

Hi satya,
I figured it was mostly large body movements to knock a person down instead of quick hit/kicks?

No, in fact it is kind of the opposite.  The goal of Krav Maga is to inflict maximum damage in the most quickest and efficient way which often requires a fast strike and kick (and/or in combination).  Obviously if someone grabs you i.e. a choke or bear hug, it will require a large body movement to get out of the hold, but it's usually accompanied by more rapid strikes.
