"To prevent the reversion of life in the United States to what it was before the war, the Carnegie Endowment decides it must control the education system of America, specifically in the alteration of teaching of American history. They approach the Rockefeller Foundation to handle domestic education, while they will handle the international portion of education. With the help of the Gugenheim Foundation, they form a new nucleus of teachers in the American Historical Association to teach history in a way that points to their collectivistic goals. "
