These comments just posted to the authors may be worth mulling over if you're familiar with this recent book on our "toxic currency."

I read your book and have three issues: (1) I am puzzled about the sequencing of gold confiscation -- 1933 or 1932? Comparing pages 66-7 with page 89 is confusing. Specifically, I refer to the words "forcible confiscation" on page 67 in relation to "anti-hoarding campaign" and "unlawfully taken" on page 89. Maybe I just don't get it ... or maybe you could have distinguished two different events more clearly. (2) Your book contains a fair number of minor linguistic glitches that a decent copy editor would have eliminated. E.g., 13 lines down from the top of page 98, "did not" should be "was not."

Or in the second to the last line on page 190, the word "or" should be "nor." Additionally, in the same sentence, "inclusive of" would read a bit more smoothly as "including." The latter isn't really an error, just a minor stylistic improvement. Your book includes a fair number of blemishes on this order; there shouldn't be any. I've heard it explained that it was carefully written on an 8th-grade level for any layman to understand, and that this was feasible because one of you is a professional writer. Something doesn't quite add up here. . . .

Finally, (3) I've listened to more than a dozen hours of your interviews with various talk show hosts. As one layer of deception peels off another in this bewildering hall-of-mirrors disaster-world, I've become ever more distrustful of anyone with a message, not least those many radio voices who so obligingly dish out helpings of "truth" to anyone that will listen. While I must acknowledge that your work brings an awful lot together, that it merits the unheard of, unanimous 5-star ratings it's pulled down on amazon, there is one thing that strikes a sour note with me -- the high price tag.

I can't believe two professional guys like you really need the money more than most of your readers, who are probably bottom-feeders like me, barely eking out a living as we do our best to decipher this crazy, malevolent, imposed social order in our bits of spare time. Nor do I believe you have to charge $30 just to cover your costs. In my view, your lack of civic-minded spirit here is inconsistent with what your message **appears**, or purports, to be all about. You're in the public forum with something vital to project, so you shouldn't take this criticism personally, but -- as with so much about all of the talk-show personalities promoting your book -- its high price tag smells just a bit foul and fishy to me.
