Bonnier (The Bonnier Group)
The TV Station LNK, is owned by the Jewish Bonnier family, based in Sweden.

Bonnier is a taken name; originally the family was named Hirschel.
Not only is the Bonnier family Jewish and not only do they own LNK, but they are the by far most influential media group in Sweden and in Finland. They are very influential in Denmark as well. They are also involved in the Baltic countries (LNK in Lithuania) the UK, Germany, Poland and other countries.

Of the seven largest daily newspapers in Sweden, the seven with a daily circulation of over 100,000, the Bonnier family owns four, Dagens Nyheter (the Daily News), Expressen (the Express), Sydsvenska Dagbladet (the Southern Swedish Daily News) and Dagens Industri (the Industry of Today).

The largest of the private TV channels in Sweden is TV4.

The Bonnier family directly holds 21,6% of TV4 and through their ownership of the Finnish based Alma media company they hold an additional 23,4%, totalling 45% which amounts to a virtual control.

As head of TV4 we find Jan Scherman (Jewish). Jan Scherman's daughter Clara Scherman is chief buyer for TV4. A man with an (Jewish?) Hungarian name Hans Isoz heads TV4 Vision.

Through Alma Media, Bonnier also controls MTV3, the most popular channel in Finland with 39,1% of the total viewing time (in 2001) and Subtv, the third largest commercial television channel in Finland, aiming mainly at young adults.

Bonnier also employs the Jews Sven Irving (now TV4 News), Artur Ringart (TV4) and Peter Sommerstein (Sydsvenska Dagbladet).

In Finland, Bonnier owns 23% of MTV in that country. In Finland, Bonnier controls the leading daily Iltalehti and Kauppalehti, Finland's largest business media with a circulation of 85.000 per day. Bonnier controls the printing house Lehdentekijät, that produces 40 regularly published magazines in Finland. In addition to that they own five regional papers, 15 local papers and nine free-distribution papers in Finland alone. They further control the Baltic News Service, the leading news bureau in the Baltic region, providing the world with news about the Baltic with a Bonnier touch.

Peter Hjörne (Jewish)

 
Beside the Bonnier family in Sweden there is the Peter Hjörne (real name Kaplan), owner and chief editor of Göteborgs-Posten (the Gothenburg Post; GP), the fourth largest newspaper in Sweden with a circulation of 253,700, reaching 600,000 readers daily. GP is furthermore the only newspaper in Sweden's second largest city, Gothenburg. Hjörne is also the owner of two local newspapers, Bohuslänningen (32.400) and Strömstads tidning (5,200); both distributed in the Swedish north-west coast area. In addition he controls 22% of Liberala tidningars konsortium (the consortium of liberal newspapers) and thereby Nerike Allehanda (The eighth largest newspaper in Sweden with a circulation of 66,300), Motala Tidning/Vadstena Tidning (12,800), Bergslagsposten (10,600) and Nya Ludvika tidning (9,500). Finally he also holds 9% of Hallandsposten (31,000). Peter Hjörne is the son of a sister of another infuential Swedish Media Jew: Per Gyllenhammer (former top boss of Volvo).

Hjörne is a part of the old Jewish establishment in Gothenburg and has his way to influence the Gentiles of that city. For instance, when the Jew Steven Spielberg's movie Schindler's List reached the screens Hjörne personally paid so all senior high school students would see it.  
The Bonnier family owns 30% and Hjörne owns 10% of The Swedish News-agency Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå (the Swedish Central News Agency), the main news source for the none-local news stories in most minor papers in Sweden.

Robert Aschberg (Jewish) owns the largest production company in Sweden called Strix Television and produces programs for every major channel, especially TV3 where almost all programs that aren't Hollywood produced sitcoms, talk shows (Ricky Lake and Jerry Springer [Both are Jewish]) or bad movies come from Strix. It was Strix, by the way, that first came up with the idea of the show Survivor, now broadcasted also in the USA.

Aschberg himself is the head of several of these usually noisy and chaotic shows and has thus been called Sweden's Michel Friedman . His maternal grandfather is the banker Olof Aschberg who helped finance the Russian Revolution and his brother, Richard Aschberg, works at Aftonbladet (the Evening Post). Robert Aschberg is furthermore an important financer of eXpo, a Swedish version of the ADL, even if it is not an exclusively Jewish organization.

Editor in Chief Helle Klein (Jewish)

The largest newspaper in Sweden is Aftonbladet (the Evening Post), jointly owned by the Swedish Labour Union and the Norwegian Schibstedt company. The chief editor, however, is the Jewess Helle Klein, great granddaughter of the former grand rabbi of Stockholm, Rabbi Gottlieb Klein. Her father, Ernst Klein, is influential in Swedish media as well. 1990-1999 he was the chief editor of Östgöta Correspondenten, the ninth largest newspaper in Sweden, and now he sits on its board. He furthermore is president of Svensk Presshistorisk Förening (Swedish association of press history).

Beside Klein there are several Jewish staffers working at Aftonbladet.

In other words, of the seven largest news papers in Sweden, six are either owned by or edited by Jews.

And please note, there are fewer than 20,000 Jews in Sweden making up roughly 0.2% of the total population. Actually, I could go on and on describing the Jewish media influence in Sweden but I guess you see where I am heading.

Pehr G Gyllenhammar (Jewish)

Pehr G Gyllenhammar is the director of Kinnevik, which controls TV3, ZTV and the free newspaper Metro.
Gyllenhammar remains speaker for Reuters Founders Share Company.
The Reuters press agency was founded in 1848 by the Jew Paul Julius Reuter, his real name was Israel Beer Josaphat.

Marianne Ahrne (Jewish)

The Jewish film maker and writer Marianne Ahrne has control over a large part of the Swedish Film Institute's (Svenska Filminstitutet) 50 million kroner ($ 7.4) budget for long films.
She is known to block films which criticize Israel or USA.

The Swedish producer Kjell-Ake Olsson asked for financial support for his film "Grisbrottaren" about the now deceased artist Lars Hillersberg It was turned down because of Hillersberg's "fanatic anti-Americanism and his demonization of Israel". The film "repetioner", based on a book by bestselling author Lars Norén got its budget cut because three supposed national socialists voice their opinions in it.

History of the Jews in Sweden



The first Jews in Sweden probably came with the Hanseatic League  in medieval times, but there are no records. In Elizabethan times it was common for European royalty to have Jewish doctors at court and there is a record of a Jewish doctor who served Gustav Vasa in the 16th century.

Church records at the Stora kyrkan in Stockholm records a several families of Jews entering Sweden and being baptised into the Lutheran Church, a condition at that time imposed upon any Jew who desired to settle in Sweden. In 1681, for example, two Jews of Stockholm, Israel Mandel and Moses Jacob, together with their families, twenty-eight persons in all, were baptized in the German church of that city in the presence of King Charles XI of Sweden, the dowager queen Hedwig Eleonora of Holstein-Gottorp, and several high state officials.

Karl XII spent five years with an encampment in the Turkish town of Bender and clocked up a large number of debts there for his entourage. Jewish and Muslim creditors followed him to Sweden, and the Swedish law was altered so that they could hold religious services and circumcise their male progeny.

Early history

In 1680 the Jews of Stockholm petitioned the king that they be permitted to reside there without abandoning their creed, but the application was denied because the local consistory had refused to endorse it. On December 3, 1685, Charles XI ordered the governor-general of the capital to see that no Jews were permitted to settle in Stockholm, or in any other part of the country, "on account of the danger of the eventual influence of the Jewish religion on the pure evangelical faith." In case Jews were found in any Swedish community, they were to be notified to leave within fourteen days.

Through court patronage Jewish merchants were occasionally appointed royal purveyors; and during the warlike reign of Charles XII (1697–1718) the king usually had one or more wealthy Jews with him in the field, to take care of the paymaster's department of his army.[citation needed] The Swedish king, Karl XII spent five years away from Sweden in the Turkish town of Bender, from where he was eventually driven out. His Jewish and Muslim creditors followed him to Sweden.

Through their influence permission was obtained (1718) for Jews to settle in the kingdom without the necessity of abjuring their religion.

Charles XII had spent five years in Bender, Bessarabia, at the time a part of the Ottoman Empire, with his army and incurred tremendous debts with Jewish and Muslim merchants who supplied the army with equipment and provisions. On his return a large number of Muslim and Jewish creditors arrived in Sweden, and the Swedish law was altered so as to allow these immigrants to hold Jewish and Muslim services and to circumcise their sons.

After the death of Charles XII (1718) the Swedish government was financially embarrassed for a long time, and the royal household was often relieved from pecuniary difficulties by the Jewish merchants of Stockholm, who, as a reward for their accommodations, insisted on the granting of additional privileges to themselves and their coreligionists. As a consequence the concession of 1718 was renewed, and supplemented by royal edicts of 1727, 1746, and 1748, but the permission had reference only to settlement in the smaller cities and rural communities. One of the most prominent Jews in Sweden at this time was the convert Lovisa Augusti, who became one of the most popular singers on the Swedish stage in Stockholm.

In 1782 an ordinance was issued by which the Jews were permitted, on certain conditions, to settle anywhere in the kingdom, and to practise freely the tenets of their religion. It was, however, specified that Jews were ineligible for government positions and for election to the legislative assembly; they were, moreover, forbidden to establish schools for the propagation of their creed, and to combine with their religious services such ceremonies as might possibly cause disquietude in the minds of the general population.

Restricted to three cities

The government was desirous of attracting wealthy Jews to the country, but it was equally careful to keep out itinerant door-to-door sellers of trinkets, quite a number of whom had in previous years entered Sweden from Germany. Any foreign Jew who landed in Sweden was accordingly required to report, within eight days of his arrival, to the local authorities, and to produce his passport and a certificate of character, as well as a statement of his purpose in coming to the country. These certificates were issued by the elders of the congregation to which the immigrant belonged in his native country, and had to be verified by the municipal authorities of the place in which the immigrant had last resided. If the certificates were unsatisfactory, the authorities were at liberty to expel the holder; but in case he was admitted he was directed to Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Norrköping. Jews who were residents of the country prior to the promulgation of this ordinance were called upon to present their certificates of character to the proper authorities, together with a statement setting forth in which city they desired to settle and make their living. The ordinance enumerated the different trades the Jews were permitted to follow, and it stipulated also that they should apprentice their sons to Swedish tradesmen in one of the three cities mentioned above. In order to prevent the overcrowding of the mercantile field it was prescribed that no foreign-born Jew should be allowed to start in business unless he possessed at least 2,000 Swedish riksdaler in cash or negotiable securities; a native-born Jew need have only 1,000 riksdaler.

As to the retail business, the Jews were prohibited from selling victuals, liquor, and drugs, and they were permitted to retail their special articles of food, wine, kosher meat, matzot, etc., among themselves only. Furthermore, the Jewish retail dealer was not permitted to offer his goods for sale in markets outside the city in which he was located, and he was compelled to conduct his business in open shops and was forbidden to peddle from house to house or in the streets.

The Jews were allowed to establish synagogues in the above-mentioned three cities, and to keep rabbis and other clerical officials. Intermarriages between Jews and Christians were forbidden. For every Jewish marriage celebrated a fee of six riksdaler was to be paid to the orphanage of the royal guards, this stipulation being intended as a compensation to the army for the exemption of the Jews from military service. In order to protect the interests of descendants of immigrant Jews the state ordered that, on the death of a Jew, the elders of the congregation should make an inventory of his estate and submit an account thereof, either to the orphans' court or to the municipal authorities. The Jews, however, had the right to appoint guardians of minors; and a rabbinical court had jurisdiction in inheritance cases. In litigations between Jews and Christians where the facts could not be established except under oath, the Jew might be ordered to take the customary Jewish oath in the synagogue in the presence of the judge. A Jew convicted of perjury became liable to expulsion from the country.

The ordinance of 1782 contained a separate clause referring to "particularly wealthy Jews, or such as are proficient in some trade almost, or quite, unknown in the country". Such persons could, through the Department of Commerce, petition the king for privileges and concessions other than those granted in the general ordinance.

After 1782 Jews gradually secured more rights from the government, but many Jews, particularly those living in Stockholm, desired even greater opportunity and desired to not be disadvantaged due to their religion. A feeling of indignation arose among the general population against the ambitious Jews of Stockholm, many of whom were prosperous financiers; the population witnessed a different, small, and disadvantaged community of Jews prosper to a greater extent than the general population despite laws that were designed to subjugate the Jewish population relative to the general population. Anger grew at the gap in wealth between Jews and others; such anger reached a height in 1838. After a new ordinance was promulgated which abolished nearly all restrictions upon Jews' civic rights (in this ordinance the Jews were, for the first time, designated Mosaiter, i.e., adherents of the Mosaic faith), a serious uprising took place in the capital; and numerous complaints were presented to the government, denouncing the alleged 'undue preference' shown Jews. On September 21 of the same year the government was compelled to revoke the new ordinance.

During the following years the book-market was deluged by brochures for and against the Mosaiter. This controversy between sympathizers and antagonists of the Jews continued until 1840, when the Commons in the Riksdag petitioned the government to re-establish the ordinance of 1782 in its original form. The friends of the Jews tried to show that the petitioners were actuated by religious intolerance, but their adversaries openly declared the question to be one not of religion, but of race. The anti-Semites in the Riksdag endeavoured to prove that the Jews had greatly abused the rights and privileges granted them in 1782, and that they had done so at the expense and to the detriment of the native Lutheran merchants and tradesmen. The efforts to create anti-Jewish sentiment in the Riksdag were, however, unavailing, and at a later session of that body (1853), when public opinion had turned more in favour of the Jews, they were accorded additional privileges. In 1852, Amalia Assur (1803–1889) became the first female dentist in Sweden.

During the latter half of the nineteenth century the few remaining disabilities of the Jews were removed. Under the law of October 26, 1860, they were granted the right to acquire real estate in rural communities, whereas they had previously been permitted to own property in the cities only. On January 20, 1863, another ordinance removed the prohibition against intermarriages between Jews and Christians, which were declared to be legal provided they had been attended by due ceremonies. A later ordinance (October 31, 1873) stipulated that the issue of marriages between members of the Swedish state church and Jews should be brought up in the Lutheran faith. If, however, a pact concerning the religion of their future children had been made in writing by the parents before their marriage, and submitted to the clergyman or other authority that performed the marriage ceremony, such agreement should remain valid.

There were, of course, various privileges which the Jews, like any other non-Lutherans, could still not obtain as long as the then current constitution of the Swedish kingdom remained in force. Thus, they could not become members of the cabinet; nor could they, as judges or as members of committees, take part in discussions concerning religious questions. Otherwise they enjoyed the same rights and were subject to the same duties as the Swedish citizens of the Lutheran faith.

During the reign of Gustavus III (1771–1792) the Jews of Stockholm invited Levi Hirsch from Alt-Strelitz, Mecklenburg, to officiate as their rabbi. The first Swedish synagogue was located at Köpmantorget (Merchants' Square), Stockholm, in the Sjöberg house. After a few years this place was found to be too small, and the Jews in the capital selected the old auction chamber at Tyska Brunn (German Well), where they worshiped until 1870, when the large Stockholm Synagogue was inaugurated at Wahrendorfsgatan (Wahrendorf street). In 1905, the Jewish Encyclopedia reported that there were synagogues in all of the larger Swedish cities in which Jews had settled in any considerable number.

According to the statistics of 1890 there were in the entire kingdom of Sweden 3,402 Jews. Since then, however, their number has been considerably augmented, and in 1905 the Jewish Encyclopedia placed the Jewish population by a "conservative estimate" at 4,000.

An Act that granted Jews equality before the law was passed in the Swedish riksdag in 1910.

Between 1850 and 1920, there was a large wave of Ashkenazic immigration to Sweden from Russia and Poland, and by 1920, the Jewish population of Sweden had grown to 6,500. After the First World War, Jewish immigration was regulated, though small groups of German, Czech, and Austrian origin were allowed to come to Sweden.

During the pre-war years of Hitler's power (1933 to 1939), some 3,000 Jews migrated to Sweden to escape Nazi persecution. Because Sweden was neutral during World War Two, it helped facilitate the rescue of relatively many Jews from nearby countries: in 1942, 900 Norwegian Jews were given asylum from Nazi persecution in their home country, and, most importantly of all, almost the entire Danish Jewish community, some 8,000 people, was transported to Sweden in October 1943 (see Rescue of the Danish Jews). Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg also saved thousands of Hungarian Jews in Budapest as part of official Swedish policy.

In the post-war period, many Jewish refugees from the Baltic Countries, Romania and Poland made their homes in Sweden (including Vladek Spiegelman, father of famous American cartoonist Art Spiegelman, who was born in Stockholm). More waves of refugees came from Hungary in 1956 and 1968 who had fled the Communist government. More refugees came then from Poland between 1968-1970. Between 1945 and 1970, the Jewish population of Sweden doubled.

The Malmö Synagogue


There is no ethnic registration in Sweden, so the Jewish population can only be roughly estimated. The Official Council of Swedish Jewish Communities estimation is that about 20,000 pass the halakhic criteria. Of those about 7,000 is a member of any congregation.[1] Stockholm has the largest community and boasts a primary school, kindergarten, library, a bi-monthly publication (Judisk Krönika) and a weekly Jewish radio program, but Malmö, Gothenburg, Borås, Helsingborg, Lund, and Uppsala all have Jewish communities as well. Synagogues can be found in Stockholm (which has 2 Orthodox and 1 Conservative temple), Göteborg (an Orthodox and a Conservative synagogue), Malmö (an Orthodox synagogue) and in Norrköping (although the Norrköping community is too small to perform regular services).

n 2010, the international media reported on increasing levels of anti-Semitic hate-crime in Malmo, the reports cited desecrations, the burning of a chapel and worshippers being taunted with 'Hitler' chants. 79 anti-Semitic incidents were reported to the police in 2009, twice as many as the previous year.[2] The Israeli media has criticised the city's mayor, Ilmar Reepalu for equating Zionism to anti-semitism.[3][4][5]

In early 2010, the Swedish publication The Local published series of articles about the growing anti-Semitism in Malmö, Sweden. In an interview in January 2010, Fredrik Sieradzki of the Jewish Community of Malmö stated that "Threats against Jews have increased steadily in Malmö in recent years and many young Jewish families are choosing to leave the city. Many feel that the community and local politicians have shown a lack of understanding for how the city's Jewish residents have been marginalized." He also added that "right now many Jews in Malmö are really concerned about the situation here and don't believe they have a future here." The Local also reported that Jewish cemeteries and synagogues have repeatedly been defaced with anti-Semitic graffiti, and a chapel at another Jewish burial site in Malmö was firebombed in 2009.[6]

Ilmar Reepalu, Malmo's mayor, has denied that there had been any attacks on Jews in the city despite police figures showing that violent incidents against Jews have doubled over the last year.[7] In January,when asked to explain why Jewish religious services often require security guards and even police protection, Reepalu claimed that the violence directed toward Malmö's Jewish community is from right-wing extremists, and not Muslims."[8]

In an interview with the Sunday Telegraph in February 2010, Reepalu again denied that there has been any violence directed at Jews in Malmo, stating that:

    "There haven't been any attacks on Jewish people, and if Jews from the city want to move to Israel that is not a matter for Malmö."[9]

Reepalu's statements have been sharply criticized by Sieradzk, who argued that "More often it's the far-left that commonly use Jews as a punching bag for their disdain toward the policies of Israel, even if Jews in Malmö have nothing to do with Israeli politics."Reepalu's comments have also drawn criticism from Swedish politician Mona Sahlin, who described his comments "unfortunate." Reepalu later conceded that he has not been sufficiently well informed about the vulnerable situation faced by Jews after meeting with community leaders. However, the local newspaper Skånska Dagbladet published on its website statements made by Reepalu after he claimed that his words were simply misinterpreted.

The waves of Ashkenazic immigration to Sweden also brought the Yiddish language, the predominant language among Eastern European Jews. Yiddish is an officially recognized, non-territorial minority language in Sweden.[13] Like in all of Europe, the usage of Yiddish has declined in the Jewish community, but 3,000 Swedish Jews have a command of the language, and attempts are being made to revive it in some congregations. The organization Sällskapet för Jiddisch och Jiddischkultur i Sverige (Society for Yiddish and Yiddish Culture in Sweden) has over 200 members, many of whom are mother-tongue Yiddish speakers, and arranges regular activities for the speech community and in external advocacy of the Yiddish language.

Harry Schein



Harry Schein (13 October 1924, Vienna - 11 February 2006, Danderyd was an Austrian born Swedish writer and a major figure in Swedish culture. Schein was a founder of the Swedish Film Institute and acted as its first Managing Director from 1963 to 1978.

He is best known for his role in pushing through the film reform of 1963, which ensured that 10 percent of the money from cinema ticket sales was handed to a central film organisation. This system guaranteed continuous production of Swedish films for several decades.

Schein was often engaged in public debates and demonstrated a most innovative and progressive understanding of the use of media.

Schein was also a columnist in Dagens Nyheter for many years, and wrote several books on current issues. He also published several largely autobiographical books, including Schein (1980) and Sluten (1995).

Schein was married to the Swedish actress Ingrid Thulin from 1956 to 1989 and was a close friend of Olof Palme.

Jewish Media Influence in Sweden (and Finland)

Every now and then we get some really interesting evidence from readers of this web site [JTR]. This was just emailed to us from a reader originally from Sweden. We hope the enlightened in other nations will find their way to us and research their own country's media apparatus, and who controls it.

    Dear Sir,

    First of all I would like to laud you for an exhaustive and well-prepared site. You have certainly gone through the Jewish question thoroughly before compiling your observations and analysis. Reading your This week's Jewish News as usual today there was one piece of news that made my face wreathed in smiles. The piece of news concerned how the Jewish community of Lithuania accused LNK television for anti-Semitism.

    Well, the far too familiar irony is that the LNK, as stated in the article is owned by the Bonnier family, based in my country of origin, Sweden. Worth mentioning then is that the Bonniers are Jewish themselves. Bonnier is a taken name; originally the family was named Hirschel. Not only is the Bonnier family Jewish and not only do they own LNK, but they are the far most influential media group in Sweden and in Finland.

    Of the seven largest daily newspapers in Sweden, the seven with a daily circulation of over 100,000, the Bonnier family owns four, Dagens Nyheter (the Daily News), Expressen (the Express), Sydsvenska Dagbladet (the Southern Swedish Daily News) and Dagens Industri (the Industry of Today). The largest of the private channels in Sweden is TV4. The Bonnier family directly holds 21,6% of TV4 and through their ownership of the Finnish based Alma media company they hold an additionally 23,4%, totalling up 45% and a virtual control. As head of TV4 we find the Jew Jan Scherman. Through Alma Media, Bonnier also controls MTV3, the most popular channel in Finland with 39,1% of the total viewing time (in 2001) and Subtv, the third largest commercial television channel in Finland, aiming mainly at young adults.

    Apropos Finland, Bonnier also owns 23% of MTV in that country. In Finland, Bonnier also controls the leading daily Iltalehti and Kauppalehti, Finland's largest business media with a circulation of 85.000 per day. Bonnier also control the printing house Lehdentekijät, that produces 40 regularly published magazines in Finland. In addition to that they own five regional papers, 15 local papers and nine free-distribution papers in Finland alone. They further control the Baltic News Service, the leading news bureau in the Baltic region, providing the world with news about the Baltic with a Bonnier touch.

    Beside the Bonnier family in Sweden there is the Jew Peter Hjörne (Kaplan), owner and chief editor of Göteborgs-Posten (the Gothenburg Post; GP), the fourth largest newspaper in Sweden with a circulation of 253,700, reaching 600,000 readers daily. GP is furthermore the only newspaper in Sweden's second city, Gothenburg. Hjörne is also the owner of two local newspapers, Bohuslänningen (32.400) and Strömstads tidning (5,200); both distributed in the Swedish north-west coast area. In addition he controls 22% of Liberala tidningars konsortium (the consortium of liberal newspapers) and thereby Nerike Allehanda (The eighth largest newspaper in Sweden with a circulation of 66,300), Motala tidning/Vadstena tidning (12,800), Bergslagsposten (10,600) and Nya Ludvika tidning (9,500). Finally he also holds 9% of Hallandsposten (31,000).

    Hjörne is a part of the old Jewish establishment in Gothenburg and has his way to influence the Gentiles of that city. For instance, when the Jew Steven Spielberg's movie "Schindler's List" reached the screens Hjörne personally paid so all senior high school students would see it.

    Hjörne is also part of the Zionist establishment in Sweden and is a regular supporter of the activities of the United Israel Appeal (Keren Hayesod). In 2008 it was revealed that Hjörne surpressed one of his empoyees (editor Gert Gelotte) on the grounds that he in his writings had defied the newspapers pro-Israel line.

    In Göteborgs-Posten, 12 December 1999, Peter Hjörne stressed his Jewish background and his "obvious and longtime engagement for the Jewish cause".

    Peter Hjörnes uncle (the brother of his mother) is the famous Swedish Jew Pehr Gyllenhammar, former boss of the Volvo car company and who has also entered the international media cicles (see the article Zionist Jew Pehr Gyllenhammar infiltrates the Reuters News Company).

    The Bonnier family owns 30% and Hjörne owns 10% of The Swedish News-agency Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå (the Swedish Central News Agency), the mainly news source for the none-local news stories in most minor papers in Sweden.

    The largest newspaper in Sweden is Aftonbladet (the Evening Post), jointly owned by the Swedish Labour Union and the Norwegian Schibstedt company. The chief editor, however, is the Jewess Helle Klein, great granddaughter of the former grand rabbi of Stockholm, Rabbi Gottlieb Klein. Her uncle, Ernst Klein, is influential in Swedish media as well. 1990-1999 he was the chief editor of Östgöta Correspondenten, the ninth largest newspaper in Sweden, and now he sits on its board. Ernst Klein used to be the foreign editor of Bonnier-owned tabloid Expressen. He furthermore is president of Svensk Presshistorisk Förening (Swedish association of press history).

    Beside Helle Klein there are several Jewish staffers working at Aftonbladet.

    In other words, of the seven largest news papers in Sweden, six are either owned by or edited by Jews. And please note, there are fewer than 20,000 Jews in Sweden making up roughly 0.2% of the total population. Actually, I could go on and on describing the Jewish media influence in Sweden but I guess you see where I am heading. That LNK or Bonnier would be anti-Semitic is about the most ridiculous I have heard. Keep up the good work!

     

    Addendum

    I will provide you with more information about the Jewish influence in Sweden that is actually quite stunning, especially considering the low number of Jews living here. This will take some time however since I would like to do a good job if the material is intended for publication. In a while I will have a paper which discuss the Jewish influence in media in greater detail then was the case in my e-mail.

    For instance, there is a Jew named Robert Aschberg in Sweden who wields a great lot of power in our media. He owns the largest production company in Sweden called Strix Television and produces programs for every major channel, especially TV3 where almost all programs that aren't Hollywood produced sitcoms, talk shows (Ricky Lake and Jerry Springer) or bad movies comes from Strix. It was Strix by the way that first came up with the idea of the show Survivor, now broadcasted also in the USA. Aschberg himself is the head of several of these usually noisy and chaotic shows and has thus been called Sweden's Michel Friedman. His maternal grandfather is the banker Olof Aschberg who helped finance the Russian revolution and his brother, Richard Aschberg, works at Aftonbladet (the Evening Post). Robert Aschberg is further an important financer of eXpo, a Swedish version of the ADL, while it however is not an exclusively Jewish organization.

    To analyze the Jewish influence in Sweden is a delicate matter, much due to the fact that the influence in many regards is indirect. For instance, a couple of years ago (in 1997) a Jewish historian named Stéphane Bruchfeld made an investigation asking Swedish students questions about the Holocaust. The result of the investigation showed that one third of the student questioned the official version of the Holocaust, something that outraged the media who blamed the Swedish educational system for this. The government responded by making a decision that 700.000 copies of a book about the Holocaust that should be distributed to all students in the country and be sent to several households. The author appointed for writing the book? You might remember his name: Stéphane Bruchfeld. The best part is that after the decision was made, someone noticed that Bruchfeld "accidentally" had misinterpreted the figures of his investigation. Actually very few students questioned the official version of the Holocaust.

    Well, Bruchfeld was not very sorry, he had already been appointed to write the book which then was distributed as planed. As a consequence several schools arranged annual theme days with discussions about how Jews have been persecuted and history in school nowadays focus more on the Holocaust than on the Second World War at large. The actions of Bruchfeld may have been direct, but many of the consequence were indirect. There was no official demand for theme days or more focus on the Holocaust in education, still as this was a direct result of Bruchfeld's doings and how young Swedes nowadays are learning about the "unique" suffering of Jews during the Second World War is an example of the indirect Jewish influence in our country.

    Bruchfeld is by the way engaged in Svenska Kommittén mot Antisemitism (SKMA; the Swedish Committee against Anti-Semitism), a lobbying organization that also "educates" schoolteachers, students and journalists about anti-Semitism, which in practice mean that all criticism of Jews is hate and should be extinguished. Earlier this week SKMA arranged a two-day seminar called "From prejudice to genocide" and had invited leading journalists from all major media. The two main themes of the seminar were that criticism of Israel in media should be equated with anti-Semitism, which in the end could, or most likely would, end with genocide, and that anti-Semitism among Muslims and Arabs in Sweden is widespread but denied by the anti-Semitic media in Sweden. Well, of course the anti-Semitic media ruled by the Bonnier family, Peter Hjörne (Kaplan) and Helle Klein responded by denouncing the evil Muslims and Arabs in Sweden that do have the nerve to criticize Jews or the altruistic state of Israel. I have read the 50 page report released by SKMA during the seminar, The Denied Hatred – Anti-Semitism among Arabs and Muslims in Sweden. I wish I had the time to translate it for you, and I guess you wished you had the time to then actually read it. It expresses some extremely subjective perspectives and exemplifies the particularistic view that so many Jews hold.

    The official author of the report, the Gentile Mikael Tossavainen, equates all anti-Semitism with Jew-hate. This is very important when analyzing what he later on refers to as anti-Semitic. For instance, the report claims that the view that Jews somehow ever could contribute to or cause an anti-Semitic reaction is in it self anti-Semitism made manifest. Further, the policies or doings of Israel has nothing at all to with why Arabs or Muslims may dislike Jews, according to the report. All Arabs or Muslims who may dislike or criticize Jews have hated Jews all along anyway. Another amazing suggestion is that anything critical about Judaism as a religion is anti-Semitic. To claim that Jews according to the Jewish religion are considered to better then "the nations of the world" or that that there would be anything amoral in Torah, or any glorification of violence is anti-Semitism. In other words, if you do claim anything of this you are an anti-Semite and per definition do hate Jews. Great objective scholarship don't you think? The report also considers Palestinian school-books anti-Semitic since they refer to Israel as the "1948-country", calls suicide-bombers martyrs, and do not mention the Oslo-accord. Well, well, what could one not add to this discussion regarding Israeli school-books? Then, of course, there is no term for Jewish hatred of Gentiles. Racism? No, Judaism is perfect remember, anything critical to Jewish behavior or Judaism is anti-Semitism and anti-Semitism is Jew-hatred.

    This is the paradigm of Jewish apology, the extremely subjective and contradictory Jewish apology. The logic is that all Gentiles criticizing Jews do so, always, without any real reason except for an irrational, pathologic hatred. These anti-Semitic Gentiles further blame Jews for all the bad things happening to them in the world. Well, what if we apply that logic to Jews, what do we have? Jews are constantly blaming Gentiles for being anti-Semitic whenever they are having any problems. All the Jews problems are caused by anti-Semites; at least that is what we are told. The same logic Jews claim anti-Semites are following they are following themselves by expressing that very claim. Well, I guess we will continue discussing this topic further on in the future.
