Sanchez: Stewart "a bigot," CNN run by Jews

This is going to be a tough day for Rick Sanchez. The CNN host, as Mediaite notes, is the frequent butt of Daily Show jokes, which may have contributed to his ill-considered comments yesterday on Pete Dominick's satellite radio show.

First, Sanchez called Jon Stewart a "bigot," though he walked the comments back a bit later.

Dominick: How is he a bigot?
Sanchez: I think he looks at the world through, his mom, who was a school teacher, and his dad, who was a physicist or something like that. Great, I'm so happy that he grew up in a suburban middle class New Jersey home with everything you could ever imagine.
Dominick: What group is he bigoted towards?
Sanchez: Everybody else who's not like him. Look at his show, I mean, what does he surround himself with?
Then, he suggested that CNN is run by Jews.

I'm telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority? Yeah.
CNN, let's remember, fired Octavia Nasr this summer for a tweet expressing respect for a Lebanese cleric tied to Hezbollah who had died.

I've reached out to CNN for comment.

QuoteCuban-American anchor Rick Sanchez came on Stand Up! with Pete Dominick today for a loose exchange on current events, media, and journalism. Throughout much of the interview, the discussion touched on race. To our surprise, at various points, Sanchez took aim at Daily Show host Jon Stewart, and even referred to his (and Pete's) employer CNN as being "run" by Jews.

Pete was broadcasting his daily SiriusXM talk show from CNN's flagship Atlanta studios today, since he's been in town putting together his new CNN weekend show. (More on that here.)

stewart-sanchez-screenieNearly the entire exchange between Pete and his guest was riveting, and even when highly intense, it was peppered with laughs. Lots of audio clips below...

Asked by Pete about media balance and objectivity, Sanchez railed on the likes of Fox News's Bill O'Reilly as well as MSNBC's Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann for being partisan and not really doing journalism, but Sanchez didn't stop there. He spent a huge portion of the 55-minute interview slamming Comedy Central's Daily Show host Jon Stewart, for whom Pete used to work as audience warm-up comedian.

First, Sanchez started out expressing an anecdote from his own experience, when someone who was "top brass" at CNN told Sanchez to his face that he saw Sanchez as "more as John Quiñones," referring to the Hispanic ABC News reporter. Sanchez's example was an illustration that the problem of racism in the media business goes further than many expect, enveloping "not just the Right," but also "elite, Northeast establishment liberals" that "deep down, when they look at a guy like me, they see a guy automatically who belongs in the second tier, and not the top tier."

That's when Sanchez really let his feelings loose: "I think to some extent Jon Stewart and [Stephen] Colbert are the same way. I think Jon Stewart's a bigot."

Pete noted that Stewart is his former boss, and pressed Sanchez to explain himself further. "How is he a bigot?" Pete asked.

Sanchez:

I think he looks at the world through, his mom, who was a school teacher, and his dad, who was a physicist or something like that. Great, I'm so happy that he grew up in a suburban middle class New Jersey home with everything you could ever imagine.

Pete pressed, "What group is he bigoted towards?"

Sanchez replied: "Everybody else who's not like him. Look at his show, I mean, what does he surround himself with?"

Pete asked for a specific example, saying the term "bigot" is pretty strong.

"That's what happens when you watch yourself  on his show every day, and all they ever do is call you stupid."

Asked again what group Stewart is bigoted against, Sanchez replied, referring to Stewart in the second person:

Anybody who's different than you are, anybody who's not form your frame of reference; anybody who doesn't look and sound exactly like the people that you sound [like] and grew up with. The people that you put on your show, who always reflect somebody who's, "I'm bringing in to sit around me," you know, who's very different from me. I'm sorry, but I just don't buy this thing that the only people out there who are prejudiced... are the Right. There's people that are prejudiced on both sides.

Sanchez went on to claim that Stewart's worldview is "very much a white, liberal establishment point of view." Sanchez added:

He can't relate to a guy like me. He can't relate to a guy whose dad worked all his life. He can't relate to somebody who grew up poor.

Inexplicably, Sanchez argued, "If we're gonna call one side bigoted, we probably gotta look at the other side and say the same thing." This, of course, does not stand to reason in the slightest, but Pete noted that he agreed racism and prejudice are not the exclusive domain of conservatives, which Pete has stated countless times on the air.

At the end of the first exchange of the day about Stewart's alleged bigotry, Pete pushed Rick to back off a bit, and Sanchez eventually conceded:

All right, I'll take the word bigot back; I'll say prejudicial [sic] — uninformed.

[Audio temporarily hosted here.]

Later in the interview, Sanchez pushed the discussion again, returning to the idea that Stewart is "prejudiced," though again backing away from the word "bigot."

If I did just sit there and read the teleprompter every day, Jon Stewart would never say a word about me. He'd say I'm a good Hispanic anchor, "Way to go, you've done a good job, stay right there." ... I am a complex human being, I'm not some moron to be..."

At least part of Sanchez's gripe with Stewart, he said, is that Stewart picks on Sanchez for superficial on-air failings instead of substantial offenses like those committed by Fox News personalities, and the Daily Show does this in order to be seen as criticizing CNN as much as it criticizes Fox News Channel. (Regular watchers of The Daily Show know that Fox takes far more of Stewart's media-savvy ribbing than CNN does, but Sanchez claimed Stewart sought parity in comedically critiquing the two leading cable news operations.)

Here's what they do. This is the game they play. "I just picked on Fox News, because they just had a bold-faced [sic] lie about something — damnit, that means I gotta find something on CNN. Oh, I know... wait, hold on, let me find, oh that Rick Sanchez, that little Puerto Rican guy. I'll make fun of him. Do you have anything." "Uh, yeah, last week, he mispronounced the word indutably or whatever." "Yeah, that's it, find me that and we'll do a whole 4-minute segment on how he mispronounced the word arithmetic."

When Pete defended Jon Stewart as "just a comedian," Sanchez shot back, "That's a cop-out." (I happen to agree with Sanchez on that one.)

When Pete suggested Jews (such as Stewart) have at least some sense of what it's like to be an oppressed minority, Sanchez seemed to make the claim that Jews run CNN and the news business in general and that Stewart thus did not in fact know what it was like to feel the sting of prejudice.

"Yeah," Sanchez snickered sarcastically at the idea that Jews are as much minorities as Latinos in the US.

Very powerless people... [snickers] He's such a minority, I mean, you know [sarcastically]... Please, what are you kidding? ... I'm telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they — the people in this country who are Jewish — are an oppressed minority? Yeah. [sarcastically]

That's right, CNN anchor Rick Sanchez basically suggested that Jews have run the media.

Pete asked, "They can't relate to that? A Jewish person doesn't have a constant fear in the back of their head that we could [inaudible] the Holocaust?"

"I think his father could," Sanchez replied, referring to Stewart.

"I think every Jewish person feels that way," Pete said.

"I hope so," Sanchez responded.

Sanchez also suggested Jews in general, at least of his generation or younger, are not discriminated against, though they might hear the occasional Jew joke now and again.

I grew up not speaking English, dealing with real prejudice every day as a kid; watching my dad work in a factory, wash dishes, drive a truck, get spit on. I've been told that I can't do certain things in life simply because I was a Hispanic. My friends who are black, I've seen that with them; I've seen that with a lot of minorities. I can't really think — although I understand the plight of Jews, and all the experiences, and the things that have happened historically for them — but I can't say that my buddy Glen or my buddy Izzy who I grew up with in South Florida ever were prejudiced against directly simply because they were Jewish. There may have been jokes around them or about other things, but it's kinda — you know what I'm saying, it's kind of a different thing.

"No, I don't," Pete replied.

"I can't see somebody not getting a job somewhere because they're Jewish," Sanchez added.

"Well, then you've never been to Nebraska," Pete shot back to lighten the mood.

Returning once again to his criticism of the Daily Show host, near the end of the exchange, Sanchez concluded about Stewart: "I don't respect the guy."

[Audio temporarily hosted here.]

Throughout the engaging interview, both Pete and his guest repeatedly took nibbles at the hand that feeds them, openly criticizing CNN as a news organization and TV news more generally. This is a must-hear discussion. Sanchez's remarks, in addition to being controversial, where thought-provoking and engaging. As a bonus, here he is discussing his rival, Fox News:

[audio removed temporarily]

Right after the interview, Pete finally revealed to listeners the much-anticipated career news about prospects for a new weekly CNN show of his own, the first episode airing this Saturday as 2:30pm. On a personal note, our whole family could not be prouder of Pete's continued success.

The Politico article seems to suggest that Sanchez should be fired by CNN for what he said. Remember that Politico ran a pretty massive campaign against Helen Thomas, so it seems like it's hasta la vista for Mr. Sanchez.

F*********ck! I am so f*cking sick of the totschlagargumente of the holohoax.

Jews aren't sympathetic to minorities? But...what about the Holohoax?
Jews run the media? Well, maybe if they didn't....there would be another holohoax!
Jews dropped white phosphorus on the people of Gaza?  Well maybe that was because they wanted to show what it was like....to be killed in the holohoax!
You're suggesting that Jews shouldn't be able to take the bar exam one day after everyone else because of a religious holiday, because they might get all of the answers online? This is starting to sound like...another holohoax!

QuoteSanchez also suggested Jews in general, at least of his generation or younger, are not discriminated against, though they might hear the occasional Jew joke now and again.

Yeah. Cause, like Pete grew up in Nebraska and met lots of prejudice there. He couldn't get any jobs cutting wheat or rounding up cattle, so he moved to New York.
Isn't this "Nebraska" shite the same thing Sanchez is talking about? i.e. People from Nebraska, from a bigoted NY perspective, are racists who discriminate against Jews.  Is there ANY PROOF of this?  Pete just slammed the people of Nebraska with no factual basis to back up his comment.

I wonder if Sanchez will get fired?

CNN anchor Rick Sanchez leaves the network after sneering comments about Jon Stewart and Jews running US television

US TV presenter Jon Stewart The Daily Show's Jon Stewart: called a 'bigot' and 'prejudiced' by CNN anchor Rick Sanchez. Photograph: Peter Kramer/Getty Images

In a terse statement, the US cable network CNN announced that daytime anchor Rick Sanchez was no longer employed, only a day after Sanchez made a string of controversial remarks, accusing Daily Show host Jon Stewart of being a "bigot" and made sneering comments about American Jews as "an oppressed minority".

The brief statement from CNN this evening reads in full:

"Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well."

On Thursday, Sanchez gave an interview on XM Radio in which he called Stewart – who has frequently poked fun at Sanchez on the Daily Show – a bigot before correcting himself and describing Stewart as "prejudiced" after being challenged by the interviewer, Pete Dominick.

But what set off a storm of controversy on blogs, after a transcript of Sanchez's interview was circulated, was his remarks about Jews. Here's a partial transcript of the exchange that followed:

Rick Sanchez: I don't think it's a conscious thing. I just think it's important that people who are not minorities understand that those of us who are – and very few of us will say the things that I just said – are actually more complex than they think we are.

Pete Dominick: [Jon] Stewart's a minority as much as you are. He's Jewish.

Sanchez: Yeah. Yeah. Very powerless people. Please. What are you, kidding?

    Dominick: You're telling me that....

Sanchez: I'm telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart. And to imply that somehow they – the people in this country who are Jewish – are an oppressed minority? Yeah.

Several US Jewish groups called on Sanchez to retract his remarks but the anchor made no public comment. He did not appear to anchor his daily Rick's List segment on CNN on Friday afternoon, before the network's statement was released.

Greg Sargeant, a blogger for the Washington Post, had this explanation for Sanchez's remarks:

It's not quite clear what Sanchez means here. Again: If he was referring derisively to the people who run all the networks as Jewish, that's obviously awful. But reading the full context, it seems at least possible that when he referred to Stewart and the people at the networks he was referring not to Jews, but to snooty white liberal elites who don't understand minorities. After all, that's who he'd been talking about during the bulk of the whole exchange.

The problem for Sanchez is that even if that were what he meant, he said it just before his sneering dismissal of the idea that Jews are an oppressed minority. So even if he did mean to say what I suggested above, it may be tough for him to get his clarification taken seriously.

A partial transcript of the interview with Sanchez is here.

CNN newscaster Rich Sanchez has been fired. The news comes one day after Sanchez appeared on Pete Dominick's Sirius radio show, where he called "The Daily Show's" John Stewart a "bigot" (he later amended the term to "prejudicial") and suggested that "everybody who runs CNN" was Jewish.

Today, CNN released a statement noting that "Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well."

CNN did not disclose whether Sanchez's comments were cause for letting him go. But the radio interview was just the latest in a history of incendiary quotes from the newscaster, who has gotten into trouble for calling Obama a "cotton-pickin' president," misquoting Rush Limbaugh, and not understanding the metric system.

After the Revolution of 1905, the Czar had prudently prepared for further outbreaks by transferring some $400 million in cash to the New York banks, Chase, National City, Guaranty Trust, J.P.Morgan Co., and Hanover Trust. In 1914, these same banks bought the controlling number of shares in the newly organized Federal Reserve Bank of New York, paying for the stock with the Czar\'s sequestered funds. In November 1917,  Red Guards drove a truck to the Imperial Bank and removed the Romanoff gold and jewels. The gold was later shipped directly to Kuhn, Loeb Co. in New York.-- Curse of Canaan

When you chide these Zionists, they will destroy you in some shape, matter or form. I have watched Sanchez's show before, but I was not impressed. Just another mainstream media cable show. I am proud of him today. There are many people who feel like him but do not want their lives ruined for speaking the truth but it is time to man up!!!

One more reason to hammer home that it's jewish bolshevik world war 2 propaganda. If people hear it in that context and then explained in depth they'll be more open to it than just thinking it's some "anti-semite" railing against jews.

Quote from: "Christopher Marlowe"You're suggesting that Jews shouldn't be able to take the bar exam one day after everyone else because of a religious holiday, because they might get all of the answers online? This is starting to sound like...another holohoax!

I never heard about this but I wouldn't doubt it. I wouldn't doubt it for other professions as well. These swine constantly get positions and appointments every where based on connections.

Quote from: "Christopher Marlowe"Jews hate all groups that are independent and hard working. Look at how they slandered the hill folk of Georgia in the movie Deliverance. They had two filthy characters rape another man and in the process make him squeal like a pig, as if to insinuate they would also screw pigs. They absolutely hate those people imho because they can't leech off of those people as well as they can city dwellers, and those people are the ones who WILL SHOOT THEM, if they get pushed enough. Of course it's okay for jews to slander any one and everyone else because of their "victim" (bahaha bullshit) status.

Take a deep breath man. We all know they're lying sacks of duplicitous shite.

All I can say is the duplicitous Lying "CrapBagging" by Jon Stewart continues... he's probably an agent. Typical Media Jew "CrapBagger"...IMHO --CSR

QuoteJon Stewart and MEMRI TV: After years of exposing neocon propaganda, Jon Stewart is now reporting it as "news"

Posted on April 26, 2010 by willyloman

by Scott Creighton

The more I learn about Jon Stewart, the more detestable he becomes. After years of exposing neocon propaganda, Jon Stewart is now reporting it as "news" to his liberal audience.

In the comment section of an article I wrote about Jon Stewart having multiple Bush adminstration neocons on his show to help them remake their reputations and sell their books to make more money, a reader mentioned Jon running with a story a couple of months ago about all those "evil Hamas" children's shows. You know the ones.  The story is that Hamas (described quickly by Jon Stewart as "the terrorist organization in Gaza".... actually it's a political party that won and election in 2005 or 2006) makes all these horrific cartoons to teach the kids in Gaza how to be evil and antisemitic (I guess that explains why the IDF had to kill so many of 'em during Operation Cast Lead).

I decided to look the video up and I found it is even worse than I could have imagined.

I found it at Huffington Post dated 2 3 2010. It's on a format that I don't know how to embed on WordPress. If anyone knows, please give me a hint.

The video speaks for itself. Jon running through a couple choice "Palestinian" cartoons that depict Jews as bloodsucking, evil, murders of Palestinian kids. One even has a Micky Mouse type character telling kids to blow themselves up for Hamas. According to Jon the characters the Palestinian kids are watching are "antisemitic caricatures" which of course would lead one to believe the Palestinian kids in Gaza are also antisemitic.

They run another clip in which the supposedly "Palestinian" cartoon shows an Israeli kid killing Palestinian kids from his roof top with an Uzi. Afterward, Jon says "What the fuck? And they wonder why this conflict is so intractable."

This of course is to make people think the reason the conflict is unresolved is because of these "crazy" antisemitic Palestinians.... that is completely unbelievable propaganda coming from someone I had once respected.

Let me say this...

These clips are supposedly translated and released by MEMRI TV... fact is, Gaza has "two TV stations run by the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation (which is controlled by the Palestinian Authority), and no radio stations. It has four ISPs. Most Palestinian households have a radio and a TV, but there are no figures available." (source)   The Palestinian Authority is the Puppet regime who lost the election to Hamas in 2006 (or 2005?)... there is no way in HELL the Palestinian Authority would air that kind of hate filled propaganda.... and HAMAS DOESN'T HAVE A TV STATION.

You want to see the inside of the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation?  Tell me if you see Micky Mouse telling anyone to blow up the jews...

So where in these photos is the program director you compared to Hitler, Mr. Stewart? Are these the Palestinian kids that are being made into antisemites?

So if the videos and cartoon arent coming from here, where are these hatefilled cartoons coming from that people like Jon Stewart are using to foster hatred and fear of the Palestinian people?

Well that's simple... just look at the videos... they are all "translated" by MEMRI TV.... MEMRI TV is based out of Washington DC. They have many topics to discuss like how we need to go to war with Iran before they blow up Israel.  Here is some information on MEMRI TV... the source of Jon Stewart's cartoons that he used to demonize Palestinians in Gaza about a year after Operation Cast Lead...

MEMRI was co-founded in 1998 by Yigal Carmon, a former colonel in Israeli military intelligence, and another Israeli Meyrav Wurmser.

When founded in 1998, MEMRI's staff of seven included three who had formerly served in military intelligence in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

Yigal Carmon — MEMRI's founder and President. Carmon is fluent in Arabic. He served as Colonel in the Military Intelligence Directorate (Israel) from 1968 to 1988.

Dr. Nimrod Raphaeli is a Senior Analyst at MEMRI... He spent most of his professional career at the World Bank, and has consulted for the International Monetary Fund.

Meyrav Wurmser (co-founding Executive Director). Wurmser was one of the authors of the "Clean Break" document which proposed reshaping Israel's "strategic environment" in the Middle East, starting with the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.

What else...

PRA considers that "MEMRI's slogan, 'Bridging the Language Gap Between the Middle East and the West,' does not convey the institute's stridently pro-Israel and anti-Arab political bias." It further notes, that MEMRI's founders, Wurmser and Carmon, "are both hardline pro-Israel ideologues aligned with Israel's Likud party.

According to PRA, MEMRI's translated articles and its commentary are routinely cited in national media outlets in the United States, including the New York Times, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times, while analyses by MEMRI staff and officers are frequently published by right-wing and neoconservative media outlets such as National Review, Fox News, Commentary, and the Weekly Standard.

Oh well, look at that.  Jon Stewart is running with videos "translated" by ideologues from the Likud party AND he is helping right-wing neoconservatives here in America remake their images and sell their books.

Wow. Didn't see that coming.  anything else?

What? The videos this propaganda mill releases aren't translated correctly? hmmm...

In 2007, CNN correspondent Atika Shubert and Arabic translators accused MEMRI of mistranslating portions of a Palestinian children's television programme.

"Media watchdog MEMRI translates one caller as saying – quote – 'We will annihilate the Jews,"' said Shubert. "But, according to several Arabic speakers used by CNN, the caller actually says 'The Jews are killing us."' [45]

Several commentators, such as CNN's Arabic department, have claimed that the transcript of the April 13 show (2007) provided by MEMRI contains numerous translation errors and undue emphases. Brian Whitaker, the Middle East editor for the Guardian newspaper (UK), wrote in a blog for the newspaper that in the translation of the video, showing Farfour eliciting political comments from a young girl named Sanabel, the MEMRI transcript misrepresents the segment, by attributing a sentence said by Farfour, ("I'll shoot"), to the child, and ignoring the child's statement ("I'm going to draw a picture").[46]

Whitaker further criticized MEMRI's translation. He and others commented that a statement uttered by the same child, ("We're going to [or want to] resist"), had been given an unduly aggressive interpretation by MEMRI as ("We want to fight"). Also, where MEMRI translated the girl as saying the highly controversial remark ("We will annihilate the Jews"), Whitaker and others, including Arabic speakers used by CNN, insist that based on careful listening to the low quality video clip, the girl is variously interpreted as saying, "The Jews [will] shoot[] us"[46] or "The Jews are killing us."[47] Other sources have also pointed out that MEMRI's translation "I will commit martyrdom" should more accurately have been "I'll become a martyr" – a passive statement rather than an active/aggressive threat.

They mistranslated "The Jews are killing us" to "We will annihilate the Jews"?  Well, I can see how that is an easy mistake made by most Likud Party propaganda mills run by ex-Israeli Military Intelligence officers and World Bank/IMF neocons...

But what do other prominent Jewish people think about MEMRI TV...

Norman Finkelstein, in an interview with the Muslim newspaper In Focus said MEMRI "uses the same sort of propaganda techniques as the Nazis... t's a reliable assumption that anything MEMRI translates from the Middle East is going to be unreliable

The current director of MERI TV is Steven Stalinsky.

Steven Stalinsky has been Executive Director of MEMRI for a decade. Mr. Stalinsky's has briefed staff of the White House, State Department, Homeland Security, Justice Department, Office of Director of National Intelligence

Steven Stalinsky has an interesting past.

Under the headline "Terrorists against Bolton" the web magazine Front Page has published an article by Steven Stalinsky defending John Bolton...

Then there is Meyrav Wurmser...

Meyrav Wurmser is a central figure in the right-wing's web of Middle East policy institutes, as is her husband, David Wurmser. According to the Hudson Institute, "Through her work at MEMRI [she] helped to educate policymakers about the Palestinian Authority two-track approach to 'negotiating peace' with Israel: calling for peace in the English press and with Western policymakers while inciting hatred and violence through official Arab language media." Before joining the George W. Bush administration as a State Department policy adviser under John Bolton, her husband was an American Enterprise Institute scholar and associate of the Middle East Forum.

Meyrav Wurmser is married to David Wurmser. David Wurmser in a neocon from wayback. He was an advisor to Dick Cheney and was also appointed to  aspecial intel office in the Pentagon right after 9/11 by another neocon, Douglas Feith. In one day or so he and his partner produced "a memo that suggested "hitting targets outside the Middle East in the initial offensive" or a "non-Al Qaeda target like Iraq." In the memo, U.S. attacks in Latin America and Southeast Asia were portrayed as a way to catch terrorists off guard when they were expecting an assault on Afghanistan.[4]"

This is the source of the videos Jon Stewart used to demonize Palestinians and specifically Palestinian children trapped in Gaza.

After years of exposing neocon propaganda, Jon Stewart is now reporting it as "news".  Just thought you should know.

In November 1917,  Red Guards drove a truck to the Imperial Bank and removed the Romanoff gold and jewels. The gold was later shipped directly to Kuhn, Loeb Co. in New York.-- Curse of Canaan

I like this a lot.  Hope that the former CNN tool has a large audience.  Very important for the mixed goy population to identify the common enemy.

QuoteEverybody else who's not like him.

In other words, Jews!

QuoteLook at his show, I mean, what does he surround himself with?

Umm....Jews?

Good for him for having an honest moment, but will he stand his ground? He just set an example for all the cowards in the MSM (like Jones) who fear exposing the Jew...talk about them and you will be blacklisted and demonized forever. Just ask Helen Thomas.

The odd part is that Sanchez hardly said boo about "the Jews", and in fact pointed out that the host was bringing up Stewart's Jewishness. Everyone will say that "Sanchez really meant" to say Jews, but referred to upper middle class white people instead. But if you didn't say something, then you didn't say it.  And furthermore, if saying that "upper middle class white" is synonymous with "Jewish", then that points toward Sanchez being correct in his assumption that Jews don't know what it is like to suffer discrimination because they are generally on the top of the economic pyramid.

This whole situation reminds me of the joke about the two little boys who wake up one morning and decide they are going to start cussing.  The older boy decides he will use the word "shit", and the younger boy decides that he will use the word "ass".

They go to the breakfast table, and their mother asks what they want to eat.  The older boy says, "Aw shit.  I guess I'll have some Cheerios."

The mother is shocked at her son's language, so she hauls back and slaps the older boy right off of his stool.  Then she turns to the younger son, asking, "And what do you want to eat?"

The little boy thinks for a second, and says, "You bet your sweet ass I don't want any Cheerios."
--------------
The joke is funny because the little boy does not understand the causation between cussing and punishment. He and his older sibling were just experimenting with new words.  So the punishment did not interfere with his plan to try out saying "ass", but rather stopped him from asking for that type of cereal.

Here, Sanchez gets sacked for barely insinuating that Jews control the media.  He never actually said it, and arguably never even insinuated it.  But he is being fired for saying that.

So the objective third party is left wondering at the truth: If the Jews don't control the media, then why was Sanchez fired when he didn't actually even say it?  Ergo: It is wrong to say that Jews run the media even if it is true, because the Jews who run the media will fire you.

"You bet your sweet ass I'm not going to say that the Jews control the media."
And, as their wealth increaseth, so inclose

I must point out that Rick Sanchez, who was unceremoniously fired by CNN today for talking some trash about Jon Stewart and the Jewish ownership of networks, was one of the few network anchors to give any attention to the Palestinian side of the story. He was plainly alarmed by the Israeli assault on Gaza in 08-09. He interviewed Palestinian lawyer Diana Buttu. And below, he interviewed Mustafa Barghouti, and showed that Israel broke the cease-fire ahead of the Gaza onslaught.

[youtube:1ntd9kaf]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KntmpoRXFX4[/youtube]1ntd9kaf]

As for his recent comments about Jews not being an oppressed minority and Jews owning the television networks-- it seems to me that these are legitimate subjects for discussion. Maybe his tone was inappropriate, maybe he should have gotten out the kid gloves. But they are legitimate subjects; and the manner of Sanchez's dispatching is only likely to feed uninformed debate about the nature of the American establishment. Let's talk about it.

Of course I hope that in his next incarnation Sanchez looks more deeply into the Israeli oppression of Palestinians. Somehow I sense that's not in the cards...

Joe Sobran's comment on Jewish media power:

QuoteNot that the Jews are all-powerful, let alone all bad. But they are successful, and therefore powerful enough: and their power is unique in being off-limits to normal criticism even when it's highly visible. They themselves behave as if their success were a guilty secret, and they panic, and resort to accusations, as soon as the subject is raised. Jewish control of the major media in the media age makes the enforced silence both paradoxical and paralyzing. Survival in public life requires that you know all about it, but never refer to it. A hypocritical etiquette forces us to pretend that the Jews are powerless victims; and if you don't respect their victimhood, they'll destroy you. It's a phenomenal display not of wickedness, really, but of fierce ethnocentrism, a sort of furtive racial superpatriotism.
One need not be a prophet to be aware of impending dangers. An accidental combination of experience and interest will often reveal events to one man under aspects which few see.

No, if Alex mentioned the Sanchez incident, along with the Helen Thomas and Oliver Stone incidents, he might get sanchezed his Jewish sponsors and then he wouldn't be able to join the club with the Glenn Becks and Michael Savages.

Quotehttp://kennysideshow.blogspot.com/2010/ ... hezed.html

It's time for a new pop culture phrase that summarizes what happens to someone who dares to speak out against the jews who control the media, financial institutions, government and foreign policy, etc. and gets fired or loses standing.

It could also be widely used to include getting slapped down by saying the things that can't be spoken of in politically correct company like 9/11 was an inside job and questioning the magic 6 million number or the idea that god has a chosen people and Israel is their land to steal.

"He got sanchezed."  "You'll get sanchezed if you say that."
I'm filing for a copyright tomorrow and  everyone who uses the term "sanchezed" will owe me a nickel.

Quote from: "CSR"All I can say is the duplicitous Lying "CrapBagging" by Jon Stewart continues... he's probably an agent. Typical Media Jew "CrapBagger"...IMHO --CSR

Ahhh, good synopsis of the Jon Stewart charade, "CrapBagger", 'CrapBaggin' his 'CrapBag' of crap.  Then Sanchez goes on 'Good Morning America' to explain how he 'screwed up', demonstrating how deep he breathes the crap bag, following up on Jon Leibowitz's directive from a previous nights 'benefit' concert to 'apologize and they'll hire him back.'  The night of 'Too Many Stars' punching the Sanchez crap-bag included too many big names getting a big laugh at any exception taking with the Jewish mainstream media.  I guess we're supposed to be amused they're so boldly stating they're state of denial, but clearly they're laughing at us not with us.

Quote from: "www.popeater"Jon Stewart Jokes About Rick Sanchez Controversy
_http://www.popeater.com/2010/10/03/jon-stewart-jokes-about-rick-sanchez-controversy/
Jon Stewart stayed mum during the recent commotion over at CNN, where Rick Sanchez was fired this week (after a six-year career at the network) because of inflammatory -- now infamous -- remarks he made on a satellite radio program about Stewart's ethnicity and upbringing.

However, at a fundraiser in New York City last night, the stand-up comic in Stewart couldn't resist making a few cracks about the controversy.

Playing emcee for the taping of Comedy Central's 'Night of Too Many Stars' (airing Oct. 21), the 'Daily Show' star entreated viewers to donate to the cause of autism education, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Then he qualified the request, joking: "If you went on radio and said the Jews control the media...you may want to hold on to your money."

In a clear reference to Sanchez (and his caustic public comments saying that people who are Jewish wield power at TV networks), Stewart added, "All he has to do is apologize to us, and we'll hire him back."

The aptly titled 'Too Many Stars' benefit was indeed lousy with comedy's biggest names, including appearances by Tina Fey, Chris Rock, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon and Tracy Morgan.

David Letterman made a punchline out of the CNN brouhaha, too, telling the crowd he was in town just "helping Rick Sanchez clean out his office."

And making an appearance at the performance, even wry, retired anchor Tom Brokaw reportedly ribbed Sanchez while onstage.
"For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations." - JFK, NYC, April 27, 1961
