The following is the transcript of Press TV's interview with Dr. Nada Haswi, a human rights activist, about the issue:

Press TV: What does this hotel symbolize in reference to the owner of the hotel and what transpired there?

Haswi: I want to say that what is happening in Palestine is not just killing innocent people and they did not take the attention of the world community. First of all, what is happening by demolishing the building [is] that its ownership goes back all the way to the al-Husseini family, who are well-known for their freedom fighting against Israel and the occupation. Now by destroying this hotel in particular, it is another stab in the Palestinians' heart and not only the Palestinians, the Arab world's altogether.

I do not see them stopping by destroying that hotel. I see them going on and on by maybe going next to the Quds mosque, by destroying all that Arabs have founded -- their dignity and their morality. Everything is being destroyed and no action is being taken.

Press TV: What are the Palestinians going to do? What options should they partake in?

Haswi: I believe what is taken by power, we should get it back by power and this is the only language that Israel understands. They are not going to comply with any laws. They are laughing in the face of the EU and the UN. They are not going to listen to anybody, not to the United States, not to the European Committee, nobody. They are just going to do whatever they want. They have been killing Palestinians over and over again and killing Arabs, Lebanese and all nationalities. It is about time for us, the Arab world, to understand nobody is going to help the Palestinians but [we have] to resist.

Let me ask you a question: When Hitler occupied Europe and he was about ready to go and invade London, beforehand he was bombarding London with rockets and killing everybody, destroying historical sites. What did the British people do? Did they not resist? Of course they did.

So, let us not hear or listen to anybody anymore. Again, what is taken by power, the only way to get it back is by power. It is to resist all the way. The UN, the United States and the European Committee are not going to do anything, because like we know, they keep on selling them weapons; they keep on saying something in the press and they go and do another deal.

It is ridiculous. Enough nonsense. Let us just resist them all the way. This is not going to stop and nothing is going to stop them

Press TV: When you refer to resistance, obviously you cannot forget about the democratically-elected government of Hamas in terms of their ideologies, which represent just that. So, is that the way and the route to go -- as uniting Palestinians under that, or do we have to look at the route of Hamas and Fatah moving forward with their reconciliation process in order to have one voice against Israel?

Haswi: First of all, let me tell you one thing. Israel will never allow any reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas. Unfortunately [acting Palestinian Authority Prime Minister] Salam Fayyad and [Acting Palestinian Authority Chief] Mahmoud Abbas fall under the Israeli kind of power. So, I really do not want to talk about them, because I might say something that I do not want to.

The only way to go is what Hamas has been doing all along, that is to resist and to fight them, because the only way for them to understand is by resisting. Unfortunately, let me say one thing: The UN is busy creating international courts for criminals. Meanwhile, in Israel the criminals are very well-known. Did we not see anybody being convicted of any crime that they have done. They tell us we do not have any proof. We need to investigate. Investigate what? They are laughing at us and they are laughing at the whole world because we are sitting, talking about the situation and the only way to deal with it is, again, by resistance.

I see with every Palestinian that is being killed, the rebirth of another Palestinian Arab having hate towards Israel and I see with every demolition of every building in Palestine, the Israeli regime coming to an end very soon and hopefully soon.

yes, it is the only language Israel knows.

are we discriminating against Israel by trying to communicate with them in languages they don't understand ?

the ADL & the SPLC say that THAT would be racist.
