Ok so RNA wrote itself into existence - not DNA -  I stand corrected. Cause I know you're not actually implying something came from nothing right?

No matter,  this debate will only be ended in our deaths.  To me the Jew is in itself the greatest testament to Christ, all else is secondary in my opinion anyways. But hey, we're gonna believe what we're gonna believe, and it is belief on both sides of this argument. Don't think for a moment that if we can give something a name that we now have it all figured out - it only makes us sound more intelligent. At every point in history man has always been 100% sure they figured it out, and almost always they are later proved wrong. I think today is no different, in 1000 years we might very well be saying "Look how ass backward those imbeciles had it!" . And all the while the Jew is still there, supporting anything and everything science, but never Christ nor God (which is odd when they claim to believe in God -lol they do but theirs is in the other direction and favours not being known about. Case-in-point; your Ben Stien video, no shortage of these types of videos from the Jewish media).  I'm sticking to Christ for the time being however, I see no reason to change. I will not believe something came from nothing. DNA is most definitely a code and the only one known to man to ever form 'naturally'  -'naturally' that is if you take the stance that there is no creator. When looked at from that standpoint I don't know what takes greater faith. I've also heard the argument of 'junk DNA' before, to me this is simply that we don't know what it's for yet. I maintain it's still a bit premature to label it 'junk' simply because we can demonstrate that it doesn't seem to need to be there, that's the kind of leap that science usually avoids taking. You don't believe that 'we just don't know yet' but thats not saying much when you believe something came from nothing. The point is we will go back and forth, but this debate will never be ended, no matter how certain and clear you are in your ideas, it will not make a person such as me become less clear and certain in mine. And vice versa. Both sides think "How can they not see? it's soooo obvious!" This debate can't end, won't end, but at least we can have it now without all the name calling  ... I hope.
:D:D

I should also add that a lot of Christians argue based on pure emotion, too. I wince when I see Christians arguing like this. It makes them look stupid. But this isn't a problem exclusive to Christianity. Atheists argue on emotion, as does almost any other identifiable group. It's a human trait. But Yo_Mama was arguing on emotion, on steroids. He would say something completely inflammatory to get a reaction, then when people reacted, he would figuratively put a muzzle on them by changing the subject, not answering, or singling out phrases in other's responses he felt he could exploit. Then he would act like he defeated the person, simply because they weren't given a chance to be heard or respond. This is what frustrated a lot of us.

This is not just innocent; it's dishonest and deceptive.

Quote from: "GordZilla"Well personally I think in the last few days things have gotten friendlier around here, I think that's where it needs to stay too. No one wants to debate in a forum knowing that in a mere couple of posts it will resort to mudslinging, and it has here  in the past. I'm hoping that particular tide is changing. As it does you will see more and more new posters, I think anyways.

As long as no one calls other people names ("shut up fag", "you're a moron/idiot/dumbass", etc) I think it's OK to debate for hundreds of posts.

Wow. You just called all creationists dumb on another thread.

In fairness I think Mike was referring to the one's that make some of those cheesy videos, at least that's how I took it. I don't think he meant anybody personally on this web site.

However as far as Yo Moma goes, I did respect that he had some nice info, what I didn't respect was his personal attacks, and they were very direct. For awhile I personally held off on the name calling but after awhile with him I gave that up and fought fire with fire. I don't like to do that. I feel, personally, that was exactly the reaction Y.M. was always fishing for. What bugs me most is on every other level we could see eye to eye, but he manages to find one issue with almost anyone, that he can prod, and then he'd proceed to do just that. If he debated with a sense of respect for others, I wouldn't have had a problem with him personally. But he didn't.

To me it's bitter sweet. We do need numbers, I agree, but we need to be adults about our conversations as well. In the end it's up to the admins ultimately, but yeah name calling makes us ALL look bad to new comers.

The Top of the Atheists like Mr dawkins and his proteges actually ARE saying that everything came from nothing and then by chance randomed out into what is here.  They also say that consciousness is a rope that looks like a snake and that people are simply memetic cloning machines in service of dna replication, and that all that they have is ARTIFICIAL Intelligence without free will cause its all random.

Zionism in its occult form is a cult of death, which uses the living as a parasite would.   Removing free will from the host is rather handy wouldn't you say?

Right. Arguing that a banana and a jar of peanut butter is proof of creationism is like arguing that a Toyota car is proof that oil comes from Mars.

So in other words, as long as there is justification for calling someone names, it's alright...Got it. Also, your comment about dumb creationists was a general statement, not necessarily aimed at the peanut butter and banana people, IMO.

Look at it this way: Jews are over-represented in atheist circles but are not over-represented in legitimate Christian circles.

The doctrine of free will is extremely precious in the Church. It is not taken lightly.

QuoteGood thread here, I think one reason why Christians keep clinging to intelligent design is what Jim Howard Kunstler says (JEW) is that people are reluctant to change if they have previously invested alot into something. If you have spent the last 50 years living your life for christ, well I can understand why people would be reluctant.

I think it's overly simplistic to explain away Christian persistence as merely cognitive dissonance.

So you basically agree that every time you open a peanut butter jar and don't see a little monster in there, that's the proof that evolution's wrong and you're right?

I don't like that particular presentation, but it has its points. Why because something is small should it be discounted? Some of the most complex designs are found in insects and small mammals. The Jehovah's Witnesses regularly feature the intricacies of insects in their literature. (One thing they do right, even though they are a Jewish-created cult)

I don't think this is a fair comparison; If you just look at atheist and Christian circles, they're both heavily hijacked by jews.I could argue that jews are also not over-represented in legitimate atheist circles.(cause if there were, they would be instantly illigitimate  :) )

As it should be.But my old church was more into to "God's Will".

As for Richard Dawkins, he has done great work but ofcourse it doesn't explain everything. My problem with him is that he's a jew-servant and hollohoax believer (which actually makes him  religious   )

Well, Jews may have a handful of guys on the inside of some Christian denominations, namely Catholicism and American evangelicalism, but as awhole, they are by no means over-represented in Eastern and European Christian denominations. Whereas Jews dominate the heads of atheist movements as well as fill lower level positions.

Calvinism is a highly contentious belief within Christianity that basically says man has no free will. Where the two meet, Calvinism and Arminianism, is that God's will is what man naturally wants, free from the influence of sin. A small example, God's will is that we eat healthy in order to stay alive and for our well being. We also want the same thing for ourselves. But many of us don't eat healthy and smoke and drink, even though we know deep down we don't want to and we know that it harms us. It's all perspective. It's not as if God made us dualist. Dualism began, one could argue, at the fall of man in Garden of Eden.

One could argue that Satan (or sin) makes us believe we are naturally dualistic. It is a divide and conquer tactic of the soul.

I'm hypocritical? No, I'm not. Look, I didn't say that "Timothy_Fitzpatrick, you're a dumbass". I didn't call you names. I said that those idiots in videos are dumbasses and that their ideas are retarded. It's just that you took that personally and took offense to that for whatever reason.

What do you want us to do? Not say anything that might offend someone on a forum? Seriously, grow a thicker skin or get off the Internet and don't come out of your house if other people's opinions offend you. Definitely stay away from forums if you can't stand differing opinions. This, and every other forum on the web, would be dead if people couldn't say what they think.

Don't' take stuff so personally when it was not directed at you.

I made no mention of being offended by your comments; thus your comments that suggest I get thicker skin are unwarranted and irrelevant. What I was pointing out was the obvious contradiction when you are talking about not calling people names as a means of improving the forum—which I agree with. But you make this statement after mere hours of calling "creationists," not just the people in the videos, "some of the dumbest people on earth." This is obviously a blanket statement, not just directed at the clowns in the videos.

What's my point in arguing this? Well, an admission would be nice that you feel this way about us creationists. I'm not looking for an apology but a confession that you think this about all of us—just so we can set the record straight and know where one another is coming from. It would take a lot more than being called "dumb" to offend me; this is not the issue here.

This will be my last comment on the matter. It was relevant because the issue was about improving forum morale, and numbers. I just pointed out a contradiction: how can we be told not to do certain things, while a mod is doing the very thing himself? And you call that off topic...slick.

Dude, I hate to say it but you're so damn annoying. Seriously, I don't care what you have to say. Keep on plugging your nonsense elsewhere. Your creationist posts had nothing to do with that topic OF IMPROVING THE FORUM. You're still not a man enough to admit that you took my post out of context and  made it about you. Your skin is thinner than cigarette paper. Have a PJ sandwich and banana and chill.
