First thing that catches my eye on Y2K are the symbols used. This is something that needs to be investigated.

As I think of the whole Y2K hoax, several things comes to me.
-there was an increased amount of spending to upgrade systems world wide, someone made a lot of money.
-this seems to have been a movement to increase the level of technology world wide - as if preparing for something. - keep in mind they claim 2012 will be another Y2K event. an upgrade
-the Y the 2 and the K seem to indicate something other then what we are told
-year 2000 was = to the masonic year 6000

anyway just some thoughts on the Y2K Hoax.

QuoteHere we are at the midpoint of Y6K! Yes, that's right, Y6K, the year AL 6000. But wait, everyone knows that the year is 2000, or Y2K, so what are the Masons talking about with this Y6K stuff, and what does that 'AL' in front of the year stand for? If the Masons call this year Y6K instead of Y2K, are there other groups of people that think this year is something different?

QuoteTraditionally the Masonic calendar was dated from the creation of the universe, Anno Mundi, or AM as the Irish Bishop James Ussher computed it in the Seventeenth century to be 4004 BC, before Christ. The AM system was replaced in Masonic documents by the AL system which has it's first year at 4000 BC. 'AL' is an abbreviation for Anno Lucis, which is Latin for 'in the year of light'.

The guy who set up the Y2K problem was Thomas Barnett. He eventually sign on with Cantor Fitzgerald to do other simulations.

I meant to post this a while back, but I forgot about it. Thankfully this thread reminded me.

We were getting rid of an old fridge for someone and something caught my eye as I was moving it. A 'Y2K compliant' sticker containing everyone's favourite symbol. Quite interesting...

Does anyone else find that even having a Y2K compliant sticker on a fridge at all hilarious? Makes me wonder if people actually were expecting their kitchen appliances to self-destruct when the day came.

That is interesting. What country is that logo from? The one above is from a UK BBC article.
