I'm going to ramble a bit here...

I've noticed, since I have been here, that the number of Forum posters has been small.

Now, some of this is due to the fact the whole 'Forum thing' is in a state of decline, with every Tom, Dick & Harry having a web forum...Running a web forum is a rather thankless job, regardless of the subject matter...It costs money and time, with monthly fees, the necessity of having a competent webmaster who can deal with software issues, and have moderators who understand how to tweak the forum so that it can appeal to a larger group of readers and posters...Kind of like running a start up business, or any small business for that matter...If you have ever owned a small business, you will realize that it requires many man hours to get and keep the business on a survivable and profitable footing.

For internet forums, the work is a labor of love, and a matter of communication...Do you want a small forum with a dedicated, but limited readership, or a larger site, where your horizons must be expanded a bit to appeal to a larger group?

People tend to have a short attention span...I know this as a musician: If I am recording some music, it is usually best to try to try and get a version of a song in a few takes, as opposed to laboring over it endlessly...Why?...Because people have a short attention span, and one tends to get bored by endlessly repeating something...Better to make a few tries at getting the basic tracks down, and if successful great...If not, come back to it later and try it again....This way, you keep it fresh...And try different approaches.

I would suggest, for this forum, a good step would be adding a 'Current Postings' list, separate from the Board Index,as this would show both old and new visitors what the 'hot topics' are...Just a simple suggestion: Newspapers have a 'Front Page' for a purpose...

Thank you.

Depends on RabbiCarlos and what he can do with the software.
Not sure I'll see much of him this week, maybe tomorrow

Personally, I would always pick quality over quantity. There are other forums that discuss similar topics, and with many more posts. Which are longer. And full of more BS. Smarter posters leave less garbage to wade through.
And, as their wealth increaseth, so inclose

I agree kinda CM, I never wanted this place to be so big that we needed people 24h a day monitoring what was posted
