None of this is particularly newsworthy What is, however, is what Zero
Hedge exclusively reported back in March, namely that the very same
former JPM HQ at 1 Chase Manhattan Plaza is also the building that
houses the firm's commercial gold vault: incidentally, the largest in
the world.

China & Russia must have more gold I bet. They've been buying it since 2006 or so.

China's doing the smart thing with all the USD they've accumulated: they're buying properties in the US and parts of companies. When Japan accumulated a lot of USD in 1980s, they invested it too into realties but the US passed laws and taxed them to hell.

I think that people may be missing the big point here:  That building has our gold, which is partly the collateral for those TRILLIONS of dollars in bonds that the Chinese have, and now it appears that they are "sitting" on our gold, which may damned well be THEIR gold.

This is really significant, in so many ways, and I would like to a REAL investigative-reporter to discover just what kinds of deals were made for this to have been approved, and what is the status of the gold.

Morgan Stanley shedding non-US oil assets in Rosneft sale
New York (Platts)--20Dec2013/534 pm EST/2234 GMT
http://www.platts.com/latest-news/oil/newyork/morgan-stanley-shedding-non-us-oil-assets-in-21984241

"Morgan Stanley, once one of the leading Wall Street players in the
global commodity market, agreed to sell the non-US operations of its
Global Oil Merchanting Business to Russia's Rosneft for an undisclosed
sum, the company said Friday.

About 100 front-office executives in trading hubs in the US, Singapore
and the UK, "or one-third of Morgan Stanley's total commodities
front-office personnel," will be moving to Rosneft, the statement said.

Included in pending sale are sales agreements for international oil
terminals storage as well as inventory; physical oil purchase, sale and
supply agreements; equity investments; and freight shipping contracts,
the company said in a statement.

Morgan's Stanley's 49% stake in Heidmar Holdings is included. Heidmar
manages pools comprising a fleet of approximately 100
independently-owned commercial tankers.

The Morgan Stanley-Rosneft deal comes on the day that Vladimir Putin,
Russia's President, released from jail Kremlin critic and former Yukos
oil head Mikhail Khodorkovsky. Khodorkovsky had been convicted of fraud
in 2003. In 2011, Yukos, formerly Russia's biggest oil producer, saw
many of its oil fields taken over by Rosneft, fueling its growth.

China spy scare: a new stage in the political warfare in Washington
By Martin McLaughlin
10 March 1999
http://www.wsws.org/en/articles/1999/03/chin-m10.html

"Congressional Republicans have seized on reports of Chinese espionage
against US nuclear weapons facilities to launch a new round of
political attacks on the Clinton administration. Senate Majority Leader
Trent Lott announced that the Senate Intelligence Committee would begin
holding hearings next week on the charges, which surfaced in a March 6
front-page report in the New York Times.

Energy Secretary Bill Richardson declared that the information on
miniaturization of atomic warheads, allegedly leaked from the Los
Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico in 1985, represented a serious
breach of national security. But he said the long-term implications of
the espionage were still being studied, and he pointed out that the
leak took place during the Reagan administration, although it was only
discovered in 1995.

The Times account was clearly aimed at providing the basis for a major
spy scare and inflicting political damage on the White House. The Times
accused the Clinton administration of impeding the investigation into
suspected Chinese espionage at Los Alamos, suggesting it did so out of
concern that the probe would cut across its China policy and fuel
Republican allegations of illicit contributions from Chinese government
sources to the 1996 Democratic election campaign.

Particularly ominous was a passage in the Times article quoting a
former CIA counterintelligence chief, who declared, "This is going to
be just as bad as the Rosenbergs."

During the 1992 elections rumors were aloud that Bill Clinton was not
only a draft dodger but also was a year in Russia in a internment camp
for some KGB `education'. Well maybe read "Unlimited Access : An FBI
Agent Inside the Clinton White House" by Gary Aldrich [1] and next
wonder why someone would throw a shoe at Hillary.  As the Washpost
story is clearly about whether Hillary to run for office or not, read
some background about the Clinton's communist background [2].

Hillary Clinton said that China had stolen "huge amounts" of government information
Hillary Clinton accuses China of 'stealing US secrets'
5 July 2015 From the section US & Canada
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-33399711

"US Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has accused China of
stealing commercial secrets and government information.

She accused China of "trying to hack into everything that doesn't move
   in America", and urged vigilance.

US officials had named China as the chief suspect in the massive hack
of the records of a US government agency earlier this year.

China had denied any involvement, and called US claims "irresponsible".
   'Fully vigilant'

Speaking at a campaign event in New Hampshire, Ms Clinton said that
China was stealing secrets from defence contractors and had taken "huge
amounts of government information, all looking for an advantage."

She added that she wanted to see China's peaceful rise but that the US
   needed to stay "fully vigilant".

"China's military is growing very quickly, they're establishing
military installations that again threaten countries we have treaties
with, like the Philippines because they are building on contested
   property," she said.
The hacking of federal government computers may have compromised the
   records of four million people

US officials have blamed China for a major data breach of the Office of
Personnel Management (OPM) that was revealed in June.

The hacking of federal government computers could have compromised the
   records of four million employees.

US intelligence chief James Clapper called China a "leading suspect"
   after the incident.

But China dismissed the accusation, saying that it was "irresponsible
   and unscientific".

China has previously argued that it is also the victim of hacking
   attacks.

Republican presidential candidates have used the recent OPM cyber hack
to attack President Obama's administration, accusing it of
   "incompetence".

Marco Rubio and Rick Perry have called for the US to threaten sanctions
against organisations linked to hacking, while Mike Huckabee has argued
that the US should "hack China back".

Meanwhile, Democratic candidate Martin O'Malley has called for better
   funding for cyber security.

The hack against the OPM is not the first time that China has been
blamed for a cyber attack against the US.

An earlier attempt to breach OPM networks was blocked in March 2014,
with the US saying China was behind the attack.

Previous hack attacks on US government

       * In November 2014 a hack compromised files belonging to 25,000
employees of the Department of Homeland Security, as well as thousands
   of other federal workers
       * In March 2014 hackers breached OPM networks, targeting government
staff with security clearance, but the attempt was blocked before any
data was stolen. The intrusion was reportedly traced to China
       * In 2006, hackers believed to be based in China breached the
system of a sensitive bureau in the US Department of Commerce. Hundreds
of workstations had to be replaced"
