Former rock star Ted Nugent just posted a meme calling out the Jews as gun-grabbing terrorists on his Facebook page.

Pretty cool guy, but I'm not sure he meant to post that. I'm not sure how he could have accidentally not noticed all those Israeli flags. But he just doesn't strike me as the type to come out against the Jews. I've seen a few interviews with him, and he comes across as very neo-conservative and pro-Israel (while also being right on most domestic issues).

Also, he had to have known there would be a backlash for this, so unless he's planning on launching a full-on campaign against Jews, posting this one picture doesn't mean anything because even if it was on purpose he's going to be forced to come out and apologize and say it was an accident, or that he didn't really mean it, or whatever.

The time stamp at time of writing says "3 hours ago." The ADL has already put out a press release demanding he take down the image.

The NY Daily News has an article about it which is marked "2 hours ago" by Google news. These people are always on it.

Funny that the post is still up, but he's probably out doing dough-nuts in a pick-up truck or something, and will be apologizing as soon as he hears the news Jews have hurt feelings.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong and Ted doubles down with "someone has to stop these kikes."

ADL Calls on Ted Nugent to Remove Facebook Post Targeting Prominent Jews for Supporting Gun Control
New York, NY, February 8, 2016 ... The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) today condemned a Facebook post by rock musician and gun rights activist Ted Nugent suggesting that prominent Jewish Americans are behind the advocacy for stronger gun control laws.

Earlier today, Nugent shared a graphic titled "So who is really behind gun control?" on his Facebook page. The visual featured thumbnail photos of prominent Jewish Americans, including former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Senator Chuck Schumer, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz and several others, with each photo emblazoned with the Israeli flag.

The post was accompanied by a written message from Nugent: "Know these punks. They hate freedom, they hate good over evil. They would deny us the basic human right to self defense & to KEEP AND BEAR ARMS while many of them have tax paid hired ARMED security! Know them well. Tell every1 you know how evil they are."

The visual was apparently not created by Nugent, but has appeared in the past on anti-Semitic web sites.

Jonathan A. Greenblatt, ADL CEO, issued the following statement:

Ted Nugent has a long history of being an equal opportunity offender. But his latest share on Facebook, making the outrageous suggestion that Jews are behind gun control, is nothing short of conspiratorial anti-Semitism. Regardless of one's views on gun control, this kind of scapegoating of an entire religious group is completely unacceptable and completely divorced from reality.

It should go without saying that anti-Semitism has no place in the gun control debate. Nugent should be ashamed for promoting anti-Semitic content, and we hope that good people on both sides of the gun control debate will reject his tactics and his message. We hope that Nugent will have the good sense to remove this share immediately so that it does not spread virally across the internet.

In January 2014, ADL spoke out after Nugent made public remarks comparing film producer Harvey Weinstein to Hitler's chief propagandist, Joseph Goebbels, charging that Weinstein was out to "destroy the NRA."

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.

I just did a news search on Yahoo and Google, and no articles or updates since yesterday. It seems like Nugent is just shrugging off the attacks and the media Jews don't look too anxious in forcing him to go on the apology tour.

Kosher conservatives are in a quandary for sure right now. They can't really call Nugent an anti-Semite because they then they would look like they are defending the gun control advocates who "just happen to be Jewish."

Weird development in the Ted vs. The Jews drama.

After Ted Nugent named the Jew as gun-grabbers, the ADL et. al. demanded he apologize. He refused.

So now a Jewish gun group has invited them to join their group. He's accepted, and then made his official apology to the Jewish race through the head of this organization.

Ted Nugent has reportedly joined a Jewish gun rights advocacy group after being sharply criticized for posting an image on Facebook blaming several prominent Jews for spearheading gun control.

Nicki Kenyon of the Zelman Partisans group wrote Monday that Nugent accepted the group's honorary membership offer. The right-wing rocker also reportedly said he would wear kippah with the group's logo on television.

Nugent had posted a graphic on Facebook on Feb. 8 that included Jewish leaders such as former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and New York Sen. Chuck Schumer branded with Israeli-flag icons.

Kenyon claimed in a blog post on the Zelman Partisans website that Nugent, who was criticized by the Anti-Defamation League and the Simon Wiesenthal Center, among others, does not have "an anti-Semitic bone in his body" despite the fact that he posted an admittedly anti-Semitic image.

"Can I say oy vey?" Kenyon quoted Nugent as saying in a phone conversation. "I sincerely apologize for my irresponsible re-posting of such a nasty and offensive meme. In my rush between songwriting jams and musical recording frenzy, all I saw was the images of people dedicated to disarm us, I made no connection whatsoever to any religious affiliation. Everyone knows deep down that at 67 years of age I didn't suddenly become anti-Semitic. That's patently ridiculous, and those who rushed to such a mistaken condemning judgement should re-examine the system by which such equally irresponsible knee-jerk judgments are made."

Kenyon wrote that her group sent Nugent a membership packet and a kippah.

I had held out great hope that Ted was going to man up and keep on the "eat me" response – maybe again refer to Auschwitz Jews as "soulless sheep."

He did hold out for a while though. But presumably, he got word that he was going to be forced out of the NRA and probably pay other serious consequences, so just like everyone else, he broke.

Someday, someone will refuse to apologize.
